Slugslinger is all for playing along with Waspinator if it means screwing the Autobots out of a potential ally.

I've noticed the 'Bots having a standing policy of pairs when planetside, do the 'Cons have anything similar?

Nope. We can go out broodily alone.

Probably. Depends on who it is.

In a similar vein, how is the rearming or ordnance handled? If Dreadwing carries 12 missiles standard, can he regenerate them or does he need to go back to base and re-supply? If re-supplied, does that mean munitions of whatever anyone needs are simply kept off-screen? And lastly, how are guided missiles handles in terms or ‘ranged’ skill and RP? (heat seeking, radar guided, laser guided etc).

Of the two, I'd really prefer IDW Dreadwing. His canon is a lot easier to obtain, and he has a past with Drift, who is already in the game, which automatically makes his interaction possibilities more interesting.
For a character with 12 missiles, I would tend to say that if he somehow ran out, yes, he would need to go home and reload offscreen. (However, now and then, you might want to do some reloading RP with Swindle; he might like that, though certainly not all the time.)
With regards to guided missiles, I'd note them as a special ability and gives the character his/her ranged stat without factoring the guided component in. For example, you might have Joecon, who cannot hit the broad side of Broadside with a normal gun, but he has guided missiles, so he sometimes hits something, instead of missing all the time. If the guided missile has a really significantly different hitting ratio than the character who uses them does, we might ask for a ranged stat for the missile itself. (Maybe the Missile itself is Steady Hands, and Joecon is Aimless.)

A quick note concerning ammo limits, especially as they relate to major or special weapons:
Typically, an ammo limit over, say, three on a major or special weapon is not going to impact a fight at all. In fact, with some of the "special" attacks, I'd say even using them three times in a single scene is a little much. This doesn't apply so much for, say, a standard issue blaster (because yes, being able to only get off three shots with your normal side-laser is pretty crippling), but players will often attempt to apply for usage limits on their more powerful weapons as a way of making them more acceptable, but will often make the number so high that such limits would never really impact a fight scene, anyway.
If the ammo limit for any weapon is above the number I gave, odds are if a player posts their character having to stop to reload or flat running out of ammo or energon, they're not doing it to play up any applied-for weakness so much as they are doing it for role-play flavor or drama purposes, which is fine and actively encouraged. One good recent example of this was Slider having to reload at just the wrong moment in the fight against Starscream on the bridge: he didn't have to do it, but it was nicely dramatic, and fits in with Slider's running theme of being a "normal guy" in a conflict between giants, plus the player's running theme of afflicting Slider with every annoying experience that video game characters have to deal with that movie or comic book or cartoon characters don't generally have to put up. This actually plays nicely with Deadzone's running undercurrent of genre-clash, so all in all, it's been pretty cool.
(Even if it did mean poor old Xaaron's distraction got totally blown.)

what if any are the specific rules regarding sub-spacing an item? to be exact IF Waspy was to sucessfully wrestle the axe away from Optimus, could he then keep it by hiding it in subspace? also lets say Bot1 throws javelin Bot2, Bot2 catches javelin - at the instant the javelin makes contact with Bot2 he instantly subspaces it to stop it from impaling him, would that work?

If your character wrestles a weapon away from another character and has a good grip on it and OOC permission from the other player's character, your character may steal the weapon.
However, you cannot just subspace anything that touched you anywhere. It's not an omni-directional field. If you get stabbed with a javelin, you get stabbed by a javelin. You'd need to let it stab you and then pull it out, get a good grip on it, and have OOC permission to steal it.

since we are going to earth, is that destination somehow locked in and known? or is it going to be a "random" destination point?
also, are we traveling via super luminal, hyperdrive, warpspeed, self propagating continuous wormhole or an undisclosed different way?
and are Autobots running and being chased by the decepticons or something entirely different?
or is it a case of "we all heading to earth, we will be there in three months, deal with it" ?

Come on, now, that's like asking all the answers to the adventure before the party really even gets rolling. Let it play out a bit and enjoy the ride before you try getting things written in stone, say?

Like Slugslinger says, answering most of those questions kinda takes the fun out of things.
However, I can say that OOC'ly we know the next stop is Earth. IC'ly we do not. The Transformers have always been on their way to Cybertron to see if they can find answers, and that hasn't changed.
The Cons are very much interested in getting Hook back. How close their course parallels that of the Autobots will depend on gameplay.
