I've been looking through the wiki, and been working around with different concepts in my head, and came to think, are transformers with Mitotic Sparks allowed? For those who don't know what a mitotic spark is (and don't bother touching the supplied link), it basically means a transformer with this kind of spark is able to split into several pieces, while remaining a single entity. Also, say the mitotic spark was allowed, would it be possible for the character to have a mini-con companion who activates a unique effect for each component, and different on for the robot mode?

I can't speak for the mods on the second question, but as for the first, we have some of the mentioned characters in-game already - the Jet Twins and the Arcee triplets.

I'm not going to say a blanket 'yes' to any idea.
However, we do and have had characters with mitotic sparks in game. If the character is one character with one mind in multiple bodies, then that one character could have one player. However, if the character is multiple characters (like Jetfire and Jetstorm), the character would need to have multiple players. We don't allow combiner teams to have only one player.
We don't really like grafting Mini-Cons into continuities that don't really have Mini-Cons, so if you wanted an AEC-style Mini-Con, we'd want the character to hail from AEC. Could the Mini-Con unlock different things? Maybe.
Basically, the more complicated the thing you want, the less likely you are to get it. If you present us with an overly cluttered concept, we're probably going to ask you to streamline it.

I'll assume AEC stands for Armada, Energon, and Cybertron, correct? And I'll also assume that say I wanted a cyber key feature instead of a mini-con, it would have to be from the cybertron line, correct?

Correct on both counts. We prefer to keep each realities "special gimmick" proprietary. For example, no matter how much Dreamwave Mirage wants a Bayverse fastscan mode-swapping ability, he isn't going to get it. It sounds as if you are trying to go for an OC. If you're looking for a character that might fit well, let me direct you to this thread which contains a list of canon characters that people have mentioned they'd like to see in game. We don't mind OC's at all, but for a first character it is often easier to go with a canon character with a set backhistory and tech spec. With an OC, you pretty much have to make everything up, and the more elaborate and super special the abilities and backstory, the less likely it is to get approved. What we really need are more basic, everyday warriors on both sides. Oh, and both sides could use a dedicated medic, since right now it's all engineers forced to play medics.

I appreciate the advide on taking a canon, but I feel more comfortable with an OC, it gives me room to work with, and be creative, and put the Chaotic portion of my alignment into use.
Also, if it's warriors you're looking for, I bet a decepticon whose tactics boil down "shoot it till it dies" and "shoot it till it dies, then shoot it some more" will not be frowned upon too much.

Whatever works for you, but I wouldn't exactly say that playing an OC is any more creative than playing a canon character, because really in Transformers, everything's been done before. There's been too many iterations of the franchise. Also, please keep in mind that "Decepticon" is not synonymous with "Chaotic." In fact, even canon Decepticons who have a bent toward mayhem tend to get policed pretty hard, especially given who's in command at the moment. >_> If you take a look at the wiki, all in-play OCs are designated as such, if you want to get an idea of what tends to work well in Deadzone.

oh, and that acutally leads to a question... Who is in command at the moment?

RID Scourge is currently in command. You can go to this thread to view the current Decepticon command structure. There us a similar thread in the database for Autobots.

Another question that popped up: How do you handle energon? Is it something a transformer needs to kep function? Can it be consumed just for any possible pleasure it might produce?

My character has been doing a lot of thinking on the subject of energon. It's mostly used as a fuel source and a tasty beverage. That seems to be the standard. In WFC(War for Cybertron), from which my character hails, energon works a bit different and he had to get used to it.

And now for something only vaguely related: In which continuities is the planet of Junkion considred to exist?

Junkions/ Junk are confirmed to exist in the following G1 continuities: Marvel, Marvel Uk, G1 Cartoon, and Dreamwave G1. There is a possibility that it exists in the Armada/Energon/Cybertron continuity as well, but that is a long shot based on a random comment from another character. To my knowledge neither Bayverse or IDW have utilized the Junkions in their canon. The TF wiki is a good source for those type of questions. As an aside, please be advised that a Junkion is automatically considered a high powered character. First time players can have HP characters, but they will be scrutinized heavily, especially if the character is an OC.

is there any way to officially / unofficially reserve a character for future application? Specifically I'm eyeing up Crowbar form DotM
