If The Fallen is going to take all redundant systems, Starscream needs to be missing an engine and a wing. If a F-15 piloted by a puny human landed with only one wing, surely the magnificent Starscream can do so as well.
Scourge is feeling really, really woozy and lightheaded. There are black spots and flickering lights in his vision, and his feet and fingers feel numb.
"Stasis lock engaged," chirps his onboard computer, and he passes out.
OOC: Out of thread due to black out. Starscream can manhandle Scourge as he so desires.

"Hmm. You have... something in your eye," Overlord observes, tone rather bland as he remarks upon his handiwork in blinding the combiner.
When the combiner tries to smash him against the hull, Overlord squirms loose enough to try to grab Bruticus by the elbow and re-direct that slam back at Bruticus overhead and hyperextended, to send Blast Off into one of the ICBMs on Bruticus's back. Overlord adds, almost ponderously, "And you should stop hitting yourself. Really."
Overlord decides he'd perhaps not like to be here if that ICBM happens to go off. Cleaning splattered energon, hydraulic fluid, and oil off his carapace gets to be so tedious, and he has matters to which he must attend.

The problem with having a combiner made out of mostly military vehicles and one civilian vehicle is that the civilian vehicle tends to look like a big huge target. Slow and ponderous as Bruticus is, he finds himself with his already damaged hand smacked into his back. Luckily, or perhaps not so luckily, Blast Off's armour is thin enough that the ICBM actually doesn't detonate.
Yet.
But there are explosions of anger, all right. Most of Bruticus wants to do nothing better than smear Overlord across a wall. A little piece is begging desperately not to move too much, because as much as this hurts, it'll hurt more if that ICBM is jostled just a bit more and goes off. So there's an internal dilemma. Spite the useless, maimed hand and satisfy the whole with swift and brutal violence? Or listen to that background pathetic pleading that doesn't think it can take the explosion of three shells, each with an explosive force equivalent to 3000 tons of TNT?
Bruticus has no time for snivelling. He moves, and his arm explodes. Bruticus is infuriated by this development, but the piece most directly affected is beyond caring, too suffused with red hot, searing agony like a re-entry gone wrong to have one coherent thought to his processor. The giant tries to grab his tormentor by the hand that Starscream damaged and fling it out into the line of fire of the ship's guns.

Starscream is not Powerglide. He turns into an F-22, not an A-10. He does not make a habit of flying home on a wing and a prayer. He certainly tries not to make a habit of saving the lives of his crazy superiors, but between rescuing Megatron from Hoover Dam and what he's doing right now, there seems to be a pattern forming.
It's entirely possible the jetformer is deliberately dragging Scourge in such a way that it's scraping the heck out of the tanker's legs as he moves him out of the Rock Room and into the hall, toward the medical bay.

Bruticus's grab does connect; Overlord's too cocksure to dodge much. In one swift, brutal movement, Overlord is flung outside.
While doubtless there is fire incoming at him from the ship's guns, he takes a moment to dart closer to the ship, reasoning that the ship's guns cannot easily be trained to fire upon the ship itself.
Then he transforms, the spacejet grabbing onto the tank.
OOC: Out of thread due to FTL retreat next post. I'll give you all a post round to get in parting shot, however, for example if Needlenose wants to pose shooting at Overlord with the ship's guns or something. Then I'll pose the bug out.

Ship was designed by Hook, and Hook is a very clever engineer. Therefore, while most of the ship's guns cannot be trained to fire on the ship itself without the use of some override codes (it's a rather large ship, so it is actually physically possible), most can be used to fire rather close alongside the vessel. Not to mention there are rather a lot of guns, so it's not really easy to fly alongside a gun-free zone for any length of time.
As soon as Overlord is out of Ship, Needlenose targets him with the nearest guns and begins firing. As the Phase Sixer flies nearer, he switches from gun-battery to gun-battery, doing what he can to keep as many weapons focused on the other Decepticon for as much as he can. It requires regular adjustments to the targeting computers, but it would seem that when Needlenose is firing nearly anything but Zigzag, his aim is actually quite good.
OOC: Not really in thread.

Timeskip to after Overlord is gone and the wounded have been carted off to repair. Ship repairs have not started yet.
A familiar purple visage appears inside the ravaged room. The hologram appears... less solid than it normally does. The construct actually stumbles as it takes a step, reaching out and catching himself on the wall. After a few moments, it seems to compose itself.
The Shockwave construct kneels and begins to carefully, almost tenderly gather the scattered, broken rocks back into a neat pile. Even the dust and shards are swept together, forming the base of what is becoming almost a cairn.
It falters, and its hand slaps down hard on the floor as the construct almost topples over. Overlord spoke truth. What they have now should just allow them to still receive the time-displaced, but the rocks must be carefully, jealously guarded until and if they can receive a resupply from Gillianan.
There is a sense of failure within the construct, something it could not have felt before Overlord's gift. Overlord's distraction, for Shockwave can see it for what it was now. Still reeling from the perception shift, kept reeling by the wracking pain from the damages inflicted during the battle, the ship's guardian had been useless. A failure. A discredit to its creator. Shockwave moves toward the hole in the ship's hull and gently touches the broken edges. His head drops to his chest.
It will not happen again.
The construct winks out of existence. Those who may have been tracking his appearances will notice that the hologram almost ceases them, not even harassing Scourge any longer. For now.
