Nightbeat was planning to do something about Bluestreak's discomfort when he caught up to him, he really was. It's just, comforting crying dames, let alone crying males, is outside his experience. "It- It's okay, Bluestreak. . ."
Turning his attention inward, he polls his other half for solutions. It's one of the the perks of being binary-bonded. The downside of having one of the most harmonious binary-bonds, though, is that both Nightbeat and Muzzle are hardboiled detectives, as opposed to one of them being a librarian or something. Muzzle similarly comes up blank.
"You want to get a cube or something?" he asks lamely.

Pee-Dee hugs Bluestreak, arms wrapping around him below his hood. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. But now I do, and knowing is half the battle."1
She holds on for as long as he seems comfortable, then lets go. "I received prompt medical attention."
Officer Spinister reconnected some of her wires the very same day the mech who doesn't deserve his name to be spoken mauled her. Then he gave her a little man that turns into a flamethrower! Pee-Dee adores Officer Spinister.
"A cube sounds good. Settle your nerves. Then maybe a different movie?"

It's hard to keep shaking when someone as nice as Pee-Dee insists on hugging you. Bluestreak calms down a bit; Nightbeat's looking a bit awkward, but he's being nice, too. Bluestreak's radiator fan revvs as he draws an extra-large draft of air through his cooling system.
"Yes, I think... I think a cube would be good," he says shyly. "I guess we're not that strictly rationed, we can have a extra one or two with friends, right? And maybe more ener-popcorn with another movie."
Bluestreak falls quiet suddenly and looks slightly embarassed, then says, "But Guzzle is watching that movie. It would be rude to turn it off if he's enjoying it."

Maybe Guzzle is not that cold after all. The noise of the movie drowned out half of the tragic recount, but he heard enough to get up and listen in on them. When Bluestreak mentions him by name he peeks in through the door frame, leaning against it, pulling a can of fuel out of subspace and holding it up for the other Autobot. "Can always watch it later. Not that far in anyways."

Of course Guzzle isn't cold! He just has the same problem as Nightbeat, namely that displays of affection are outside his genre.
The detective just grunts as Bluestreak accepts the offer of going for drinks. This is an activity he is comfortable with. "Yeah, let's watch something else. What's that other movie you're always threatening me with, Pee-Dee?"

"The Usual Suspects1?" Pee-Dee asks, because she's probably suggested that one slightly more often than she has 'The Maltese Falcon'.
She gently herds the men back into the lounge, if they're herdable, pops "Predator 2" out of the player and back into her packs, then pulls out "The Usual Suspects" and pops it in.
"-What's enerpopcorn?" she asks suddenly, twisting around to look at where the guys are hopefully getting themselves cubes. "It's not for sale at the concessions stand on Junk."
1. Watch it, it's amazing.

Bluestreak looks at Pee-Dee, slightly confused. "What are the usual suspects? Is that a list of movies you usually watch? I know the movie that's from--Casablanca! Sparkplug liked that movie, so when we had a Movie Night, he brought it once.1 Nazis seem a lot like Decepticons."
After he gets his cube, he says, "Spike always liked popcorn with movies, and he thought it was terrible that we didn't get to enjoy it too, and I think Wheeljack invented some energon-popcorn so we could have popcorn with movies. Took him a couple tries to get it right--the first few times, he tried to make it pop like popcorn, and it exploded, and who wants to eat fuel that explodes? So someone convinced him to give up on the popping part--was it Perceptor? Or maybe Ratchet--and then it was much better. It's actually pretty good, but nobody knows if it actually tastes like popcorn or not, because, well, Spike can't eat energon, and we can't taste popcorn--hey, do you think Rattrap could taste both and compare them? Then we'd know!"
The gray-shade car sits down and starts to watch the movie. The initial violence is limited, personal; Bluestreak gulps his cube. "Wow, not nice! This is a murder mystery, right? We're going to find out who knows this guy and might have been the mysterious guy in black and is the detective a funny little human in a raincoat? I've seen that one!"

Mysteries? But mysteries are boring! And just frustrate him most of the time. Still, he plays nice, letting Pee-Dee herd him for just this once, and takes up his seat on the couch again. Then, he clutches his drink, and tries not to fall asleep. But it sounds like that won't be a problem with motormouth here.

"Yeah, that one," Nightbeat agrees, nodding. It's just as well they aren't watching 'The Maltese Falcon.' It'd probably give Nightbeat deja vu."I don't think energon tastes like popcorn. Muzzle's had popcorn and I've had energon, but that's not quite the same as Rattrap taste-testing both," the Headmaster says as he takes a seat.

Pee-Dee nods along with the discussion of ener-popcorn. Her expression is much the same one other people wear when she starts seriously talking teevee.
After the murder and the boat burning, the movie goes to "Verbal" Kint giving his testimony as to why everything happened. The movie cuts back and forth between six weeks ago and moving forward to explain how everyone reached that point, and Verbal's interrogation.
The reveal at the end makes Pee-Dee clap her hands together and glee quietly. Nightbeat may have seen it coming, but she hopes Bluestreak and Guzzle didn't.

Bluestreak stares at the TV as the credits roll, mouth open. "Wha-what happened?"
He points at the screen. "Th-that guy was--and he was--but he--what actually happened? I'm confused." Bluestreak holds his head in his hands. "The whole story couldn't have been a story, could it?"

Guzzle's not going to be involved in the discussion of this. He dozed off about halfway through and he's still sitting there, optics shut off, leaning back into his seat, though at least he has the decency to not snore. ____________

Nightbeat just nods to himself, arms crossed. He is Cybertron's Greatest Detective. He laughs at your primitive flesh creature mysteries and twist endings. "Saw it coming an astro-klick away," he pronounces smugly.
Nightbeat is probably really annoying to watch cop shows with.

"Why not?" Pee-Dee asks Bluestreak. "All the world's a stage."
She nudges Nightbeat in the shoulder. "But did you enjoy it?"
Watching credits is boring. She clicks the movie off and ejects it from the player, then hops down to go about putting things away.

Bluestreak tilts his head and regards Nightbeat suspiciously. "How could you see that coming an astro-klick away? You'd have to assume from the beginning that the narrator dude was lying, and why would you assume that? That's not normal for a story. Sometimes the narrator doesn't know things he can't see, but this wasn't that!"
He scratched one chevron. "So, the stuff with the cops had to be real, but we can't trust anything the talkative dude said happened. But something happened on the ship, and people ended up dead, but how did they really get there?" He looks at Pee-Dee. "Do you know?"
