Luck is on Arcee's side, Rampage gets very wrapped up in rampant destruction and doesn't see her coming until the pink car knocks into his side. She's not really going fast enough to knock him over, but it is enough to stop him from bombarding Kup with more missiles. With a garbled shout, he flips back into beast mode and tries to grip Arcee's bumper with him massive claws.

"If you can get my hand free, I can cut, too," Epps says lowly, because of course Epps also has a knife, and two knives are better than one when evil alien spider webs are concerned. Isn't it supposed to be the Marines that fight the space arthropods, anyway?
"Watch your back, lad!" Kup calls out sharply. "Looks like sand fleas in these dunes."
He gets himself back up while Rampage is busy being ran over by Arcee and Tarantulas is jumping on Rodimus Prime. Kup slowly tries to draw a bead on one of the pillar and shoot it with some acid.

Lennox goes to work getting Epps's hand free, and once that's done, he starts to work on Epp's legs.
Rampage grabs Arcee's bumper, making the pink and white car cry out sharply. She cuts hard to the side, hopefully slinging Rampage toward her left. If the maneuver works, and he's enough to the side to for it to make sense, she'll try to encourage him to let go by giving him a taste of her spinny wheel blades.
So he's not a car, so what? It would still hurt to have them connect!

The problem is, even as agile as Rodimus is, he simply doesn't have time to dodge if he still wants to make sure he hits that pillar, and he definitely wants to make sure he hits that pillar, especially since missing it would put him in the field of effect without the advantage of weakening the field.
Three things happen more or less simultaneously: Tarantulas lands on Rodimus's trailer, Kup's shot hits the pillar, and Rodimus slams into the same pillar, twisting sideways as he does. Tarantulas might just have time to sink his fangs in before Rodimus transforms,1 sending the trailer off to subspace and dumping any unwanted passengers. Once in robot mode, Rodimus stumbles but manages to regain his balance as the combination of entering the field and the (assumed) poison hits him at the same time.
"Sooooo it takes more than just one of those things, I take it."
Now that he has a moment (though not much of one, given the speed he's moving at), he's able to spot the humans, but for the time being it looks like moving into to protect them would only draw the Decepticons' attention to them. Well, Predacons. Either way.
1 I am leaving it up to Tarantulas whether or not he has time, though for the moment I am assuming he did, it's a "hit", but that he isn't able to maintain the bite for very long.

Tarantulas retracts his wheels and extends his legs in midair, landing on the Prime's trailer and sinking his fangs in as far as they'll go. Given the difference in their sizes and the thickness of Rodimus Prime's armor, it's probably not terribly far. He does manage to inject some cybervenom, but the Autobot leader's sudden swerve causes the spider to lose his footing, and the (mostly) immutable laws of cruel physics cause Tarantulas to pivot around by one of his fangs, still sunk in Rodimus's armor, before falling off. The golden fang is twisted at an odd angle as the spider hits the sand with a thump, and a trail of glowing green liquid droplets is sprayed across the sand.
Tarantulas transforms back to robot mode in time to see the pillar crumple from the Autobots' assault. They'll find they're moving faster, though still nowhere near normal speed. The spider takes a moment to pound on his lower leg, trying to get his foot (which used to be his fang) back into alignment as he scans for an escape route.
Let Rampage stay and fight if he wants. Tarantulas is going to get while the getting's good.

Rampage is swung around with a grunt, then howls as Arcee's blade cuts a line in Rampage's carapace. He releases his grip and rolls away, transforming as he goes. Crouching in robot mode, he fingers the gash, then proceeds to laugh loudly as the ragged metal edges begin sealing themselves under his direction.
As the wound seals, he whips out his cannon, preparing to unleash another barrage upon the not-quite-as-slow Autobots.

Epps works quietly with Lennox to get himself free, frowning the whole time. On the one hand, he's not going to complain that the robots are mostly ignoring the humans to beat each other up. On the other hand, this whole day as been weird as f-
"That crab just... sealed a wound as big as my head," he whispers to Lennox. They're robots. They shouldn't do that. Shouldn't heal.
Kup, on the other hand, points out to Arcee and Rodimus Prime, "The itsy-bitsy spider's running." Kup is aggressive enough to pursue, expect he is stuck in a slow field and there is an enemy crab preparing to shooting at them.
So he shoots at one of the other slow-pillars while he has the chance.

"Yeah," Lennox murmurs back as he cuts loose the last of the webbing, "Something to bring up to folks when we get back." Because they are getting back. They're main cast, after all.
Arcee is also stuck in the not-quite-as-slow field, and so going after the spider may be a bit out of the realm her capabilities. What she able to do is position herself so that she is between the humans and Rampage's barrage, on the off chance that the crab's fire is heading that way (because her player isn't sure). Regardless, the warrior woman gets hit more than once, going down to the sand with a sharp cry.
Unlike Rampage, however, Arcee isn't laughing it off and healing. In fact, the shots might have hit something important, given how still she is.

Now that Rodimus is also in the slow field, he, too, is in a poor position to chase the fleeing spider. Still, he draws his photon eliminator, preparing to fire after the scientist...
... and then Arcee cries out.
"Arcee!" he shouts, concerned, and swings his gun over (still in painful slow motion) to fire at Rampage instead.

Kup will find that his shots hit the pillar he's aiming at, and disable it as well, causing it to blow up with a live-action explosion superimposed on a computer-animated background, because Tarantulas made it.
The Autobots are just a bit faster. Six pillars left.
Kup and Arcee are otherwise occupied, and Rodimus Prime is shooting at Rampage, who regenerates. This would be a perfect time for Tarantulas to launch an attack on the humans, or finish off Arcee! It is also a perfect time to transform to his Transmetal motorcycle mode and try to run away, which is what he actually does. Better part of valor and all that.

Rampage is too busy cackling like a madman and trying to shoot up Kup and Arcee to notice Rodimus shooting him until a shot impacts him, knocking him flat. With a snarl, he pushes himself back up, shoulder sparking.
One opponent appears to be down, but there's another to take her place, his opponents are speeding up, and Tarantulas is- he takes a moment to look around -Tarantulas is cutting and running. Just like a spider.
Time for him to weigh whether or not this is a fight he cares to continue. For now, he'll send some missiles in Rodimus's direction.

That was a very strong reaction from the new red Autobot when Arcee goes down, Epps notes. It's not as interesting as the way, say, that crab heals itself, but just like he didn't expect robots to heal, he didn't except them to hurt like that, either. Then he blinks, as he somewhat belatedly (shut up, the spider web was distracting) tries to match the new red Autobot to the dossier he's read, and he asks Lennox, "Is that... Rodimus Prime?"
Now Kup? Kup is pretty fond of Arcee. She's a real sweet girl. Rampage made a mistake, there. Rampage makes a second mistake when he opens fire on Rodimus Prime instead of Kup, because shooting Rodimus Prime really does make Kup angrier than being shot himself does, because he is very fond of this Rodimus Prime.
His hip might be busted, but he throws himself at Rampage anyway, fully intending to tear off Rampage's legs and flog the crab with them if he can.

"Think so," Lennox answers, "Wonder if he gets that upset when any of his troops get hurt, or if she's special." Pulling off the last of the webbing, he offers a hand up to Epps, then the two start moving carefully over toward Arcee.
Arcee's optics flicker and she tries to lever herself up off the sand. She only manages to get her torso partially up before she falls back down, biting back another cry.
She looks at the two humans as they approach. "Stay behind me until Kup and Rodimus lower the pest population for us."

Rodimus would certainly react if any Autobot had been shot... though probably not quite like that. And had he realized what a weapon he had just handed over to the Predacons, he'd have cursed himself. It's this very weakness that caused him endless grief in his own reality: though he can play a mean bluff when he's prepared for it, all too often he wears his emotions on his forearm pipes.
It would seem that Tarantulas manages a clean getaway, after all, as he's now the focus of Rampage's assault. Too slowed to dodge more than a few, Rodimus just lifts his arms, places his forearms in front of his face, and lets his thick armor absorb as much of it as he can, though it wrecks the pipes on his left arm, and the armor will definitely need to get pounded out. .
Arcee's protecting the humans, and as long as he remains the focus of Rampage's attention, they should be safe. He could tear down pillars, but at this point, with only one Predacon left, it's probably just best to focus the Autobots' efforts against him and clear out the rest of the pillars when everyone's safe. He points the Photon Eliminator at the crab. "Guess it's crabcakes on the menu," he observes almost absently as he fires once more...
... before he falls to one knee with a grunt as Tarantulas's poison continues to work its way through his system.

Rampage catches Kup's movement, dodging out of the way of his lunge with a cackle... only to be hit by Rodimus's shot, sending him sparking and cracking to the ground again.
Snarling, he decides his doesn't want to play with these Autobots anymore. He prefers prey that doesn't bite back quite so hard. He fires off another barrage as he turns to flee, more as a distraction than a directed attack. He may not be the fastest Predacon, but with the Autobots in the state they're in, he doubts they're in the mood for a chase, even when they get out of the slow field.
