Oh, but of course! And Phobia wasn’t even the vengeful type, alas.
A few of the bullets ping off of Phobia’s armor and leaves a few hideous little marks for him to fret over later, but he otherwise escapes unscathed. The place was not apparently even made to deal with lightly armored mechs? There was that monster behind them but it didn’t appear to be chasing.
“Either they're just that easy to kill or this place is strangely lacking in security,” Phobia murmurs, making a quiet disgusted noise at the dead guard. He doesn't open fire on the remaining human; best to pretend to be just a bike for the moment. Hopefully he falls on top of something they don’t have to drive over.

The Autobots won't publicly announce their existence to the U.N. for another month. As far as the general populace on this planet knows, there are no Transformers. One needn't defend against things that do not exist.
"I'm sure the security is more than sufficient to protect against corporate espionage," Rook responds, shooting at the second guard, missing horribly, swearing under his breath, and shooting again, dropping the unfortunate human.
A general alarm starts playing over the building's public address system at this point, prompting another quiet curse from Rook. Since security is already on high alert, he blasts the lock on the lab door, carefully retrieves the Genetic Modifier from the apparatus it's attached to, and cradles it under one arm as he uprights and remounts vehicle-mode Phobia.

Well, yes, but they were still in a building with monsters that shrugged off weapons-grade lasers in it.
Phobia jumps slightly when the alarm goes off. He’d actually been expecting that to happen the moment they saw their first security guards really, but the loud noises were still a nasty surprise.
His engines growl anxiously until Rook returns and he nearly starts before the crow could mount him again. The bike restrains himself though and checks to make sure all is secure before doing a tight u-turn in the room and barrelling back down the hallway.

The general alarm summons the local constabulary. Given that they have monsters that shrug off weapons-grade lasers running around, the security here are reluctant to call the police until they've swept certain things under the rug.
Rook holds on tight to Phobia's handlebars with one hand as the motorbike accelerates down the hallway. Given that he's holding his prize with the other, it leaves no hand free to shoot over his shoulder at the guards that are rapidly filling the corridor.
"Take a left and accelerate. The building next door has a flat roof at the right level." If Phobia follows directions, he'll find himself driving straight into a lounge area with large floor-to-ceiling windows. It also has snack machines, but it doesn't do them any good to dramatically crash through those.

Phobia is not getting them scuffed and covered in sticky soda and chips no matter how dramatic it may initially look, thank you very much. He’s the No-Fun bike, not the Badass bike!
Although roaring down the hall and crashing through the window before landing on the rooftop of the next building might be classified as mildly badass. Maybe. If Phobia hadn’t been the one doing it.
He assumes Rook knows well enough to hold on tight as they hurtle through the lounge at breakneck speeds. The window shatters as if it were made of sugar and for a brief, tank-churning moment, they are suspended over thin air. The drop wasn’t anywhere near enough to kill a transformer, but there was still something distinctly unnerving about having nothing under his tires.
A breath later, they land heavily on the rooftop. The black bike hits the brakes before they drive off of said roof and quickly looks for a way off.

Rook knows well enough to hold on tight when Phobia makes the jump, though for a moment there he thinks this is crazy and they're going to crash. Then it works and he mentally pats himself on the back as he dismounts Phobia.
He transforms back into a human, placing the Genetic Modifier on the ground as he does so, then picking it back up after. "We can climb down this side. Hurry," he says, with the barest hint of urgency, heading to the side of the roof and climbing onto a fire escape.

No choice but to transform then; his antigravs only worked in robot mode. The bike scans the area quickly for witnesses before transforming and quickly jumping off the roof, antigravs on. The fire escape was a bit on the small side for Phobia anyways.
He lands featherlight on the ground before swiftly transforming back into his alt mode again and waits for Rook at the bottom of the fire escape.

Rook scrambles down the fire escape as quickly as he can with only three limbs to hold on with. He's finding the whole affair rather exhilarating. They just broke into a secure facility, killed some people, stole a thing, and now they're getting away scot-free!
"Thank you, Phobia," he says, remounting the Decepticon and signaling a direction to take out of the alley they currently find themselves in. "This way for three blocks, then take a right, over the embankment and behind the red brick supermarket," he says as the sound of police sirens gets louder in the distance.
//This is Rook, requesting a space bridge at [coordinates].// he radios back to Ship.
Unless he's timed it wrong, they ought to slip right through the police before they can block off the roads.

“Yes sir,” Phobia says as he follows said instructions. This was turning out to be far too easy. Did they do something wrong? Is something horrible going to happen now?

Something horrible is going to happen, objectively, in that today, evil triumphs and the 'Cons win this one. Subjectively, as Phobia pulls behind the aforementioned supermarket, the sound of sirens fading in the distance, nothing horrible happens at all. Rook gives a self-satisfied smile as a hole in space-time appears in front of them and he dismounts the cycle-former.
The crow shifts his grip on his prize and holds up one hand over his head, palm facing toward Phobia. "I believe the term is 'up high'?"

Phobia transforms after Rook gets off and was about to step through the portal when his superior holds up his hand. He hesitates for second; he knows some of the more popular human expressions of course, being an intelligence officer. But still. Touching.
… Regardless, he very gently returns the high five, meekly murmuring, “I think so, sir.” It would be rude to spoil his superior’s victory after all. And Rook rode him. You don’t get more touchy than that.

Rook is glad he didn't have to do anything so crass as ordering Phobia to reciprocate his ridiculous human victory gesture. It would have spoiled the entire evening.
He steps through the portal, a very self-satisfied Predacon.
OOC: Wrap?

Phobia is glad to have averted that disaster then! He quietly steps through the portal after Rook.
OOC: Wrap is fine!
