But that's not the case, and while he is annoyed, he's far more focused on Optimus! Who didn't rush forward. What, did Onslaught's noble offer really knock him off balance that much? He didn't expect this to work so well! Oh well, the Prime is distracted, and this will do.
//Combaticons, ignore my previous 'command' and re-engage the hostiles in 3...2...1....//
He pushes his foot down and the next thing Optimus knows the chains rattle and the reanimated corpse of Sentinel Prime is hurling his spiked shield at Optimus, catching the Elite Guard commander off guard and knocking him down onto the arena floor.
The shield flies back and Sentinel catches it, rising to his feet in a way that is just wrong, less like a living being and more like a puppet that has it's strings pulled.
What's worse is that the body is shifting, panels opening and expanding, new ones sliding into place. When all is said and done, there stands 'Sentinel' in a battle armor that he is similar to what he may have worn in his future, clutching a battle hammer. Meanwhile, Onslaught overlooks everything from the stands behind the zombie, clutching the remote control and laughing like a triumphant Bond villain.
"Oh I'm terribly sorry! Did I not mention that your friend is now a mindless zombie who is firmly under my control? How uncharacteristically forgetful of me!"
Knocking down of Optimus done with player permission.
I just absolutely adore Onslaught's latest post there. The unveiling of zombie Powermaster Sentinel Magnus is simply splendid. (Also, I love that zombie Powermaster Sentinel Magnus is actually a thing.)
