OOC: Month 6 Week 2 Day 1. Open to whoever's left aboard Ship.
Crankcase emerges from the sim room to a quiet corridor. He thinks nothing of this; it isn't a terribly noisy place at most times. Ship is vast and while the crew is sufficient to man it and keep it running, there aren't enough Decepticons aboard to make it feel crowded or busy. Not by the standards to which Crankcase is accustomed. He finds he likes the quiet. When he eventually makes his way to the bridge to take over pilot watch, however, he finds something amiss. There is nobody on watch to relieve.
He makes an irritated sound and shifts from one foot to the other, then sits uneasily in the chair.
His hail to Scourge does not garner the response he expected. Instead, Fracture and Lyzack imply that people are simply vanishing. That… makes no sense. At all. Disappearing into thin air is a cheap suspense plot humans like to use. The unhappy noise he makes echoes on broadband.

Lyzack arrives when Crankcase bids her to, because he is a real assassin, and all she was doing was cleaning her room when Doctor Flame up and vanished. Lionessbreast lopes along at Lyzack's ankles, her head lashing back and forth anxiously, her optics bright. There are many scent trails, and they all just... end. Go nowhere. The Breast Animal cannot understand it.
She bows very slightly to Crankcase in greeting but says nothing, waiting for him to say what he will. Lionessbreast sits down on her haunches and makes a little whining noise, distressed.

Fracture pads in a few minutes later. (She rarely stomps. It's only mildly surprising, given her temperament.) The ground still shivers under her feet. She hasn't seen anyone else between the rec room and here, and it's given her the wiggings.
"All right, what's going on?" she demands.

Crankcase, if he spoke Brestar, would sympathise wholeheartedly with Lionessbreast. Too many scents go nowhere now and it makes his relays jangle unpleasantly with the wrongness of it. He simply rumbles in answer to that whine, then looks at Fracture as she arrives.
"Don't know," is all he can answer, because it's all he has. "No response on radio. Nothing on cameras." Indeed, the security feeds, if either of the ladies cares to look, will show no signs of anyone else aboard. If Lyzack's story rings true, going back through the security footage will show the same thing she witnessed: crew members disappearing. In a way, Crankcase doesn't want to check. He doesn't want to see something as unreal as Decepticons vanishing, as if never there. If there was a Space Bridge involved, it would make a modicum of sense. He stares at the monitors, talons rattling an uneasy beat on the console.
Finally, he gives in and starts looking for the archives.

Lyzack gives Fracture a slight bow in greeting.
Lionessbreast continues to be agitated, but she gets the impression that Crankcase is agitated for the same reasons that she is, which is somewhat soothing.
Lyzack rubs her chin and ventures, "Could it be a Cybertron plot?" It is not as they are superiors. She can probably speak around them without being spoken to.
Oh, shoot, these are mostly Autobots, not Cybertrons. The question remains.

"Could be. Could be the Fallen lost his temper on us, too." Fracture is pretty sure he can't do that, and also pretty sure he's not here, but 'pretty sure' is not certain.
"What was everyone doing when this happened?" she demands, grabbing an empty console and pulling up as many mission-statuses as she's got the clearance for. "Maybe one of them did something stupid."

OOC: Arriving from Under the Sea
There might be a brief UFO sighting as the Decepticon shuttle breaks the ocean surface and leaves the atmosphere. Starscream isn't flying particularly stealthily. He's in a hurry.
"We have," he replies distractedly to Shockwave. "Lyzack is from the same reality as the little Autobot Micromaster. She's submissive to the point where it's ridiculous, and has no combat experience, but she's heavily armed. Crankcase and Fracture are both from my reality. Fracture creates localized tremors with her feet. Crankcase is a stealth operative. He's the furthest along on my timeline yet arrived."
He transmits the shuttle's ID to Ship as it approaches a rendezvous.

"Ah so of those remaining, most would give loyalty to you. How convenient."
It is actually rather interesting that three of that reality set were spared. Is there something in their make up that is resistant, perhaps?
"Have they been informed about my current situation?"
OOC: feel free to pose Shockwave accompanying Starscream to the bridge.

Crankcase hears the orders and while he doesn't consider what he's doing disobeying, he doesn't immediately depart as Starscream directed. He waves the others on while going over as much of the security footage as he is able to access. Surely enough, while he ran his simulations, other Decepticons were disappearing into thin air. He can see the evidence with his own optical cluster, yet he frowns all the same. He doesn't particularly want to believe it. With that accomplished, he'll wait long enough to confirm the shuttle ID before making his way to the hangar.
He doesn't like these developments. Not one bit.

Lyzack is a good little Destron. She will go running when she is called. She does, however, suggest softly, "If it is an Autobot ploy, they may hit us now. Probably best to warm up the weaponry and engines and divert power to the shields. Maybe lock down some of the personal rooms, too, with no one here to use them, and thereby prevent the enemy from using them as hiding spots if they break in. That is to say, if an esteemed assassin deems such ideas more than worthless words."
That said, she and Lionessbreast start to pad off toward the hangar, as directed.

Fracture scowls at the mission-profiles she can pull up. "This makes no-"
Then Starscream's orders come through and Crankcase waves them on to the hangar. Lyzack's suggestion is interesting, and Fracture gives the teal jet a thumbs-up. Then she's out the door and transforming, racing off on all four wheels.

Maybe the humanization bug is less likely to take hold the more eyes one has. It's no wonder Bayverse 'Cons are less affected. (Also no wonder Shockwave caught it thirty years before everyone else.)
"It would be far more convenient to have our full forces at my disposal, regardless of their composition," Starscream responds as he pulls the shuttle into the hangar. He privately resolves to practice his own vehicle-mode landings as he does. Normally he just transforms and lands on his feet, and he doesn't want the skills to wither from disuse.
"I haven't informed them over the radio, no. Do you think they would have believed me?" he asks rhetorically as he picks Shockwave up off the console, cupping her in the palm of his hand. It'd be so easy . . . one long talon twitches ever so slightly. But no. Not this way.
The jetformer emerges from the shuttle carrying the human. Are his loyal Decepticon soldiers there to greet him yet?

Oh that Decepticon pride is a tricky thing. There is neither challenge nor accomplishment in destroying Shockwave at the present moment, is there? Deposing the gunformer in his proper form would do more to cement one's position as the baddest motherboard fragging robot on the motherboard fragging ship, wouldn't it?
"They are not likely to believe you regardless," Victoria answers, "but we shall see."

Surprisingly, Crankcase knows little about ship operations that he isn't assigned regularly. He has never had the responsibility of seeing to the defence of a vessel as large as Ship, nor did the Dreads ever run into much of the lock-down-the-ship sort of trouble. So he takes Lyzack's comments to heart, his only protest a puzzled glance when she calls him esteemed. His team was generally loathed; what could have possessed her to call him that?
If it doesn't look like he's in the hangar as he should be when Starscream and Shockwave board, they'll want to make sure he wasn't just lurking in the shadows the whole time.

At some point, Lyzack acquired Rook on her shoulder. He is in robot mode, with bits of traditional Arabian garb hanging off him. Lyzack does not question how he ended up there. Lionessbreast, who is walking down at Lyzack's ankle on the floor, seems to be questioning if Rook is A Food. However, Lyzack is glaring and thinking, 'Down, cat!' really hard, and for the moment, this seems to be working, quite miraculously.
Lyzack arrives at the hangar and - well, darn. She can't bow with Rook on her shoulder. She does a very formal and elaborate salute.
Oh, blast. Has Starscream decided that he wants to keep human pets now? Lyzack hated how Emperor Deathsaurus fancied human children.
(Anyway, given that Crankcase probably never got left at home to guard the hatchlings, Lyzack thinks he must be doing pretty well for himself.)
OOC: Rook posed with player permission.
