Mistwind ducked behind a sturdy oak tree when the Autobot crashed, and he ducked away once more when Starscream hit the ground, followed by the missiles. When those explosions finally faded off, Mistwind peered from around the oak. He blinks, in awe of the destructive powers unleashed here.
Leaning forward a bit in his excitement, Mistwind waits for the dust to clear and the sky commander to emerge victoriously, unfazed by the missiles. He will just not remember how the commander's descent seemed more like a crash, turning the move into one of great strategic brilliance; letting the faultive Autobot get offlined by its own missiles, how clever!
(Probably still happy skippable/spectating)

It's amazing how Mistwind's memory works almost exactly like Starscream's. Next time he's grappling an Autobot because he doesn't want to deal with their weapons, he's not going to kick them out of grappling range. It's counterproductive.
The air commander heaves himself to his feet, one hand clutching a sparking wound in his chest as he surveys the wreckage that used to be some insect's livelyhood, with the meddlesome Autobot in the middle. He tries to deploy the blades on his right wrist, but only one comes out. He smacks his arm, hoping percussive maintenance will help. "Work, curse you!" he growls, inadvertently spewing fluid. "Why is it that every time I get seriously injured I start leaking at the mouth?" he asks no-one in particular, giving Bluestreak the evil eye and seriously considering kicking him until he feels better about things.
"Mistwind!" he calls, spraying robo-drool several meters.

Commander's calling for him. Mistwind makes haste to emerge from his cover and approaches the scene. In awe, he observes the damaged field, the offlined Autobot and the Air Commander. Enthusiastic, he answers; "Your orders, Air Commander Starscream Sir?"

"Supreme Commander," Starscream corrects, again giving the weather along with the news. He wipes his mouth with the back of his arm, frustrated, then kicks the supine Bluestreak in the abdomen to vent. "Stupid Autobot filth. I wanted him conscious to interrogate."
//Starscream to Ship, I need a space bridge at [coordinates] for myself, Mistwind, and an Autobot prisoner. We-// The jetformer stops transmitting abruptly as a space bridge opens on the other side of the field. It's not Decepticons that emerge from it, though, but Autobots, a fire truck cab and a Porsche, driving full speed. Starscream curses and holds a hand out to Mistwind.
"Are you functional enough to attach to me like you do with Duskwing?" If the little 'Con says yes, Screamer will hop up and transform in mid-air, let Mistwind latch on, and then reach escape velocity as fast as he can.
If not, this is going to get very ugly.
OOC: Further abuse of Bluestreak with permission.

"With torture, sir?" Mistwind perks up at the mention of interrogating the Autobot. Alas, they are cut off by the arrival of more Autobots...
Mistwind nods at the question, "This one is able to do so, Supreme Commander Starscream Sir!" And yes, he will proceed to do just that by hopping onto the hand and bracing for action.

Starscream transforms, lets Mistwind attach, and then soon after has the last few strands of atmsophere falling away from him as he makes orbit, flying toward Ship. He's still counting this as a victory if anyone asks. Privately, he's counting it as a loss and Bluestreak has moved nearer the top of his slag list.

That... is actually possible! Both will have fled successfully.
Both went out of thread, so closure of thread?
