Never has Skywarp been called Chuckles. It's one-off enough to slow him a bit as he enters the debris cloud. Is it some kind of stupid Autobot humour?
"What nonsense," he mutters, mostly to himself. Wind Sheer starts to say something in support, then thinks better of it and stays quiet. Skywarp really does take himself far too seriously sometimes if one asks the Minicon, but… well, no-one asks the Minicon. The thought doesn't even cross Skywarp's mind, in fact, and he bursts through the cloud ready with a retort.
It dies before it reaches his transmitters, stifled by the sight of a long gun barrel aimed squarely at his canopy.

Skywarp emerges from the debris cloud, just as Breakaway knew he would. It takes just a tiny adjustment to center his sights right on the Decepticon's center of mass. Breakaway may not be the smartest, the humblest, or the fastest. But he is a very, very good shot. He smiles to himself as he fires. It was about time he killed a Decepticon, he was beginning to think coming to a new reality had made him lose his touch.

Incoming weapons fire. Head on. Fast. Roll out, bank–
No, those options all leave Skywarp open to a second shot, put him on the defensive. He won't be waiting for a later moment to teleport after all, it seems. Better to throw off the Autobot now.
A purple flash like heat lightning, a brief, piercing sound, and there is suddenly nothing but air in front of Breakaway's shot. Just as suddenly, with a second flash, there is a jet in front of Breakaway, just to his right. The jet unfolds into a robot with a dark, unsmiling face.
"My name," he introduces himself, "is Skywarp."

Suddenly, Decepticon right in his face. Breakaway flinches back, but quickly recovers, turning to face his opponent and releasing a thermal wave, overheating Skywarp's weapons. His rifle collapses into a fist, which promptly heads for the Decepticon's face.
"Breakaway. Charmed, I'm sure!" he retorts.
OOC: Attacking twice with permission.

Wind Sheer hates mêlée combat. Fists start flying and he ducks, already unsettled by the teleportation. That suits Skywarp just fine; Wind Sheer not flitting about is one less thing to track. The unexpected burst of heat – was it some sort of attack? – causes system failures that he logs to check once he isn't dealing with an Autobot trying to smash in his face. He raises his right arm and twists with the punch, trying to pin Breakaway's arm under his and follow up with a knee into the Autobot's side.

Breakaway agrees wholeheartedly with Wind Sheer when it comes to melee. His arm gets pinned, so he's not in a position to deploy his gatling gun and shove it into Skywarp's chest, blowing him apart from the inside. Also Skywarp has solid metal plating covering his chest. Stupid alternate realities.
He grunts at the knee in his side, clenching his ungrappled hand into a fist with the thumb extended and bringing it up to try and gouge out the Decepticon's optic.

Skywarp has voluntarily gone without his eyes recently and it was an experience he has no interest in repeating; he's not about to unwillingly give them up. He ducks his head and breaks away from the grapple to avoid being blinded, then seemingly tears off his own left wing.
It unfolds into a sword when he snaps it out to his side and he promptly aims to thrust it through Breakaway's middle. Wind Sheer just keeps his gear clamped onto Skywarp's shoulders as though his life depends on it.

Breakaway ignites his jets, thrusting backward to dodge out of range of Skywarp's stroke. If his masked expression is readable at all, it could almost be a manic grin. Breakaway doesn't have adrenal glands anymore, but this is what he lives for, nonetheless.
They're now at that awkward range which is too far for proper melee combat but too close for a real gun battle. Breakaway slows, then stops his fall, hovering in midair and maintaining his range from Skywarp, transforming out his gatling gun and taking aim.
He's hoping he can stay out of sword reach. It'll probably be difficult against a teleporter.

Teleporting out of immediate gun range would be quicker, yes, Skywarp thinks as he looks down the gatling barrels. But he can't keep expending the fuel for it recklessly. He cuts his lift and drops like a multi-tonne heap of metal, tumbling under Breakaway. He pushes back in as he comes up, making a long, flashy sweep with his sword that looks like it could lop off a limb. He needs to keep poking. Breakaway keeps trying to break away and switch to guns; Skywarp will try to keep it in close, find out how uncomfortable the Autobot is with in-fighting.

The Autobot is very uncomfortable with infighting. Unlike the majority of his reality, he isn't equipped with any kind of melee weapon. Up close, he's forced to rely on fists and feet, putting him at a serious disadvantage.
Skywarp isn't giving him any room to maneuver, keeping him on the defensive. Breakaway has his hands full just trying to dodge his sword swings, let alone trying to fire.
Screw it. No-one lives forever. The Autobot jetformer jets up and toward his opponent, kicking out with a foot at the same time. If the idiocy he's trying to pull off works, he'll use Skywarp's head like a stepping-stone, pushing off so he's behind and above him.

Expecting a kick to the face, even with such blatant telegraphing, Skywarp tilts himself and raises one forearm to deflect the blow.
It isn't a kick to the face. Skywarp stifles a curse as his horn bends painfully under Breakaway's foot and Wind Sheer barely swallows his fearful gulp. The difference of a meter at best is all that's saved him from being stepped on by a plane fifteen times his own size and he'd have fared no better than Skywarp's horn.
"You're quicker than you look!" Skywarp says as he tries to turn and follow Breakaway's movement, and it's no trick of the receivers; he sounds approving of this development.

Breakaway looks down to make sure of his footing as he steps on Skywarp's head, only to see a tiny little face looking up at him. "Dude, you brought your hatchling with you?! Not cool! Get a sitter!" he exclaims as he pivots around, deploying his gatling gun and placing his other hand at his elbow to brace it as he levels it at his Decepticon opponent and opens fire.
"And thanks! Speed is kind of my thing!" he adds, shouting to be heard over the hail of bullets.

It's a reflexive thing; Skywarp, wide-eyed, sees the gun barrel arm's length away, hears the thunder of bullets leaving the chamber, and even before he can look aside, Wind Sheer pipes coordinates at him over the radio. Again, that piercing pop as air rushes in to fill the vacuum where Skywarp once hovered. A second, louder crack follows, Skywarp reappearing above Breakaway and coming down full speed, aiming to cut that gun in half.
"I literally have no idea what you're talking about," he snaps. Hatchling? The other jet clearly means Wind Sheer, but hatchling?

Breakaway curses as the Decepticon does his thing again. Seriously, that has to be on a cooldown or have a fuel requirement or something, right? Hopefully.
The Autobot jetformer cuts his engines and drops down, moving away from Skywarp's strike so that when his sword connects it doesn't slice clean through all his gun barrels, but only some of them, denting the rest. It still renders the weapon useless, though. And hurts like hell.
"I mean the little guy on your shoulder! What, did you think I was gonna pull my punches because you brought him with you?"
Given that it's already not firing anytime soon, Breakaway lunges at Skywarp with the remains of his gatling gun, trying to embed his sword blade in it so he can yank the weapon out of the 'Con's hands, or at least immobilize it.

It isn't trying to prise his sword away from Breakaway that has Skywarp swearing under his breath, it's the level of his fuel gauge. He's teleported twice in less than ten minutes and it hasn't been kind on his reserves. He really needs to not do that.
"My Minicon," Skywarp corrects the Autobot, "and I wouldn't expect you to." Breakaway comes at him and Skywarp twists, sword catching on the ruined gun as he lifts his elbow to drive it into the Autobot's face. Wind Sheer ducks lower as Skywarp's shoulders get closer to the action, mostly because he doesn't want to get in the way. Skywarp fights in ways that remind him of Wheeljack, only Wheeljack used missiles as batons and that meant Wind Sheer learned early to stay clear where he could.
