“W-Wrecker?” Mistwind freezes at the word, before a sickly mewl escapes him; “He’s a wrecker?!” Not this again.
That the revelation makes the child want to flee is obvious. That he wants to object at the tank’s orders to leave his side, evident. But he doesn't do either. Mistwind instead gathers what little courage he can, and nods, "A-Affirmative, Mister Brawl Sir. You'll do the 'cover fire' thing, right?"
He trails the edge of his cover to the point where he could run behind a couple of tables and chairs and disappear behind a big water fountain. He clicks a grenade from his belt and activates it, ready to throw the moment he runs.

"Tiny?" Oh, it's on now. Guzzle growls as loud as he can and kicks against a car he passes, sending it flying in Brawl's general direction, though it won't hit him. "Oh, I'm comin' over there alright, and when I do I'm gonna wreck you so hard that they can't see where your face stops and your barrel begins!" Just to accentuate that he fires off another round.
His attention is on Brawl, and while he knows Mistwind is there, he completely misses that the tiny runt's started to sneak around.

Brawl is still behind cover, so Guzzle's shot just impacts with wrecked waterslide. Brawl is elated at the other tankformer's statement. "Now yer talkin' my language!" he shouts back, picking up a piece of rebar with concrete stuck on the end to use as an impromptu club and charges at the Wrecker, roaring.

As the two tanks are on their way to clash violently, a small form flits behind the tables and chairs. It throws the beeping grenade in an arc to once again make sure that Wrecker is between bomb and Decepticon. He then dashes behind the large water fountain to hide.
//Grenade on [location], Mister Brawl Sir!// He warns.

"Slagger, I invented this language! I cast the mold while yer just a cheap knockoff!" Guzzle is having a blast letting out some steam. After the weird stuff recently, he really needed it. It will be even better when he's bashing this guy's face in, though!
When the Decepticon comes a'charging, Guzzle drops to the floor and transforms. He fires off a round of his main cannon, but that's just as the grenade lands in front of him. "Aw, scrap-" The grenade blows and Guzzle is thrown back by the detonation, transforming in midair and grunting as he lands painfully.

The awesome part about being a giant multi-ton sentient war machine that gets to turn into a tank sometimes and is equipped with sonic cannons is that you are a giant multi-ton sentient war machine that gets to turn into a tank sometimes and is equipped with sonic cannons. The bad part is that when you're charging at someone and want to stop or change direction suddenly, the laws of physics object strongly.
When Mistwind warns Brawl he's throwing a grenade, he tries to stop. This results in a horrible scraping sound of metal feet on concrete as he skids, then ultimately stumbles forward due to the aforementioned unforgiving laws of momentum.
He would have landed with his face in Guzzle's crotch, but is saved from this indignity by a grenade going off between them, ending up sitting rather dazed on his backside.
Brawl didn't know Mistwind had grenades. It is Onslaught and Blast Off's job to know that sort of thing. "Scrappit," he says, rubbing his head. "I'ma kill you as soon as my audios reboot, Auto-punk."

While the two tanks are lying on their bums, Mistwind is staring dumbstruck from behind his cover at what he just accomplished. This cannot have happened. How did this happen?
He’s Mistwind, weenie of all mechs. He couldn't possibly deal damage to a tank lest knock it flat to the ground. Yet... there they are... two even!
He's too confused to do anything. Capitalizing on this is not in his reflexes. It doesn't even occur to his untrained mind.

Guzzle isn't hit bad by the grenade. His circuits fizzle and static messes with his optics, but aside from that and some scorching of his paintwork, he's fine. Not that he wouldn't have kept going if he has, hell, there are two Cons waiting for a sound beating now.
One who is the clear and present threat but who is currently dazed, and another who is shrimpy and a grenade-lobbing danger.
What he's about to do isn't very Autobot-ish from him, but he is from a universe where that's a general rule. Especially with Wreckers.
"Heh. Tough, I'm goin' fer a killstreak today." He drops to a knee, turns, and fires off a round of the Judge right at Mistwind.

Brawl shakes his head to clear it as he rises to his feet. It pisses him off that Guzzle is shooting at Mistwind, but then most things make Brawl angry. It would make him angrier if Guzzle was shooting at him.
"I got yer killstreak right here!" he shouts, leaping to tackle the Wrecker to the ground, arms outstretched.

Guzzle takes aim and fires. Mistwind’s facial expression turns from confusion to shock to straight up mortified the moment the gun is pointed at him. He drops and voices an utterly terrified child’s screa- The sound is overwhelmed by the fountain exploding, stone and debris scattering everywhere. A haze surrounds the wreckage, swaying and swirling among the thick rainfall caused by the unbridled waterblast shooting skywards. Eventually after enough silence to make a bystander wonder if this was the end of Mistwind the young mech pushes up from his bellyflop duck. He shifts backwards to let the chaos of the water and mist conceal him.
//Brawl, that defective glitch should not be bearing arms. Interpret as you will.// He transmits to low broadband. He sounds seriously not amused.

He fragging hates it when he misses. No time to focus on that now though. There's an angry tank another angry tank who isn't him coming right for him. He doesn't wait to see if he succeeded at being a really crappy Autobot and turns to fire, getting off one shot before he's tackled to the ground. Guzzle mutters a string of curses while the two tankformers are turned into a rolling ball of steel and flying fists.

Guzzle's shot clips Brawl along the right shoulder, leaving a sparking trail of exposed wiring and mechanisms. The Decepticon tankformer roars as he crashes into the Autobot one, torn between trying to crush his neck with both hands, punching him, kicking him, headbutting him, kneeing him between the legs, and all the other various fun things he can do to an Autobot in melee range. He decides to open with a headbutt, hoping for the brief flare of static in his HUD and the slight dent to his forehead that means he successfully smacked the other guy's head with his own.

The tank-fight is observed by a Mistwind who makes use of Brawl's distraction to bounce towards a new hiding spot. He keeps himself ready for whatever might happen.
A couple of humans naturally halt and begin cheering for Guzzle since it's clear he's trying to stop the two bad guys, although the enraged glance Mistwind sends them makes the cheers rather nervous.

Well, Brawl shan't be disappointed! Guzzle's own head reels from the impact, one optic lens cracking at the force of the blow. For a moment his efforts decrease in intensity as his systems recalibrate, but once that's over with he is right back to cursing and trying to get a kick or a punch in.
...And why is this somehow familiar in a terrible way that he'd rather not think about?

It's not familiar at all. It certainly isn't giving Brawl strange, confusing feelings that would best be worked out with the therapist the Decepticons so badly need and don't have. Not at all.
The (Decepticon) tankformer bellows with inarticulate, completely non-confused rage as Guzzle's blows dent his plating, crumpling some of the more fragile alloys in his superstructure. Fuel lines rupture beneath the surface. Luckily robots don't bruise.
Always eager to escalate a conflict, he reaches for a jagged piece of metal debris, intending to shiv his opponent.
