This upcoming Wednesday (October 8), we will create the Bait and Switch sub-forum for the big, all four factions fight. Stuff will happen! People will die! Hook will kvetch about repairing you people who don't die!

We will allow 'flashback' threads - threads that take place prior to the battle, while the battle is ongoing. Just clearly mark when they're taking place (the DZ-3 Timeline post in the DZ-3 OOC Discussion forum is amazingly helpful here) and make sure not to use the faction radio-bands as those are always in the 'present' time.
Though, whenever the plot itself gets wrapped up, we'd kind of appreciate the winding down of DZ-3-related threads.

Statuses That Aren't Fully Resolved But Will Be ICly In Time For the Final Battle:
- Hook-3 (rescued, involved) - Pee-Dee (rescued, rebuilt, and ready to kick then the ass and take then the names) - Barricade-3 (was never in need of rescue in the first place, involved) - Thundercracker-3 (rescued, too compromised to be allowed on the battlefield) - Swerve-3 (not rescued)
---
All characters' statuses provided by their players.

Additional note:
For this battle we are allowing people to declare some characters to be "background combatants." There are a lot of people with a lot of characters, and the character load almost doubles for DZ-3, so basically, if you want to claim your character is part of the battle but don't have anything immediate for him to RP out and don't want to do, "So and so is over here, attacking buildings" (like what a lot of the Decepticon jets ent up doing last fight) you can just declare your character to be, "In the background. Fighting, oh, someone. It's chaotic, you know," and only bring them "forward" if there's something that you would specifically like to play out.
An exchange/fight/duel does not have to have a major impact in order for it to be worth being played out. All that it needs to have are people who think, "Gee, it would be cool if we did... xxx"
Please let us know if you're a background combatant. For any mass attacks, we may have the people writing up the relative posts asking permission to use folks from the background combatant list in a quick mention.

We need good guy fliers to report in on Swerve-3's location. Or, like, someone. Also, same for bad guy fliers and Xaaron. Just so folks know.

I'll be putting Grimlock and Springer as main combatants.
Cannonball-3 can be background unless someone really wants a fight with him, same with Boondocker. (Though Boondocker can also be pulled for Engineering/Medical duty.)
Grimlock-3...for now, I'll background him. Depends on work schedule and life and stuff. I wanna get at least one fight out of him.

Injector-1 can be background, same with Ironfire-3. I'll be wanting to run Injector-3 and Ironfire-1 as main, probably. My two Scourges will hopefully end up fighting each other.

Note to those who have characters fighting each other:
If no one else is involved in the battle, you're free to write the portions of it that don't involve anyone else up in a single post, fanfic style, and post that/start a thread with it, and then just switch to the one-post-per-character method when other players become involved.
Other things that players may not be aware of: * DZ-centric fanfic that fits into our continuity can get declared canon if the players of all characters involved consent to it. Please let us know, though, so we can put a formal link to it.
* DZ-based AIM RP scenes can also be logged and posted as canon RP. Same for LJ-base.
* If something breaks our rating, it cannot be posted or linked from here, but it can be posted in the LJ comm with a note that it is still happened.
* Remember that future players of Canon characters have the right to retcon romantic relationships, including ones that have portions posted elsewhere but have been declared canon.

Apparently this wasn't too clear before, and to avoid annoying anyone by taking them off guard:
The final battle will mark the complete and hard end of the DZ-3 plot. This means that things are finishing soon. However, when people are sent back, we are not specifying who lands when, where, and how, so if you want to send a person back who was previously in faction A with faction B, you're free to say they just landed near more members of faction B, or something.
This was the plan for quite awhile, but it's come to our attention recently that some people may have problems with it/have not known about it.
This plot... really needs to be wrapped up. Not only have many people grown tired of it, but a clear ending provides a good place for some people who have been thinking about posting again to finally rejoin the game. That, and it just... really went longer than it should have. I'm open for suggestions on how to prevent this from happening again.

I'm open for suggestions on how to prevent this from happening again.
Here's my suggestion: time limits,
Like, after this, we want some downtime for small plots and then we're off Gillanan and into space, right?
Why not give the small plots segment two months wherein threads along those lines can be started? Then, after those two months, no more new threads can be started for small plots - they have to be for space, but old threads have as long as they need to finish. I think two months is long enough for everyone to start all the small plots on Gillanan that they wanted to run, but the amount of time is debatable.

Depends.
Remebering something about a horror story involving a corpse of Armada/Energon/Can't remember Tidal Wave, that could take quite a while depending on how its handled.

Yeah, but you can get it started in two months' time, right?

That horror plot may be put off until we're out in space, actually... Been having a few ideas regarding it.
