"Y'know, everyone always goes on and on about my fathers. Optimus Prime. Megatron. But does anyone ever thinks, even for a second, that I just might be my own person?" Scourge snaps. He hates being darkened by their shadows, unable to stand in his own light. "That I might wanna see that thing under lock and key because I was designed to hunt down the out of place artefacts? Huh?"
He withdraws his whip, which is one part weapon, one part 'grab objects that are out of reach' device. Hmm...

While both Kups are tough old coots, one, the shinier one, is not quite so brave as his alternate, and this shows in his expression as he seems to be giving second... indeed, third!... thoughts to the forces arrayed against him. His hands shake lightly as they hold the musket, and for a moment, he looks as though he is about to lower it...
...then a sharp rock goes whizzing by his head.
On instinct, he spins, and the moment he does, he's hit with a blast from Rodimus Prime, knocking him off his feet (though not nearly so powerful as to kill him).

Though Kup has his orders, he's reluctant to leave the scene. Really, what he wants to do is tear that smug, shiny little alternate of his limb from fragging limb. This changes when the other is blown off his feet, and he gives Rodimus a somewhat startled look. "Well. Looks like you lot have this handled." With that, he subspaces his musket, dives forward, and transforms, crunching over the other Kup's nice paint job on his way out.
OOC: Out of thread.

Rodimus, for his part, looks a little queasy over his own, instinctive actions. His expression is still no less determined, but it is also now faintly ill. With the alternate Kup down, however, there's one enemy left to focus on. Rodimus looks down at Mirage, once more aiming his pipes.
He doesn't look up as Xaaron approaches, but he seems to be addressing both him and Starscream when he speaks.
"So. What do you two suggest we do with the thing?" A quick, somewhat worried glance is shot towards Scourge, before focus is returned to Mirage himself. Though Mirage's words are disturbing, the impression given is simple: what Mirage wants with the thing will have no affect on what is done with it.

Starscream does his best to hide his disapproval of actions of Rodimus and Xaaron. They need to have a unified front against the other Autobots. However when Scourge pulls out his weapon, Starscream shoots him A Look.
"We have people from the same era of time as Rodimus." Well, close enough. "The Matrix belongs to that era, to be passed on to someone who is worthy, someone who can uncorrupt it."

Mirage’s rifle is balanced across his raised knee, aimed, more or less, at Scourge. His optics cut back toward Rodimus and Starscream, a curious sort of half-smile on the hunter’s lips. “Don’t disappoint me,” he murmurs, just before he tilts his rifle, quickly firing off a short burst of darts at the disgruntled tanker.

Forget unified fronts. Emirate Xaaron goes with what works. One Kup down, one Mirage to go.
He has very little respect for that Starscream there, he must admit. Willing to give into the demands of terrorists over one life? When, if Perceptor would just remember that he has a light cannon, the hostage situation wouldn't even be a situation?
And then Boondocker goes and calls Emirate Xaaron selfish.
Primus, deliver him from his allies.
Emirate Xaaron now realises that he has no control over these people and none of their respect. This is isn't like home, where there would be disagreements, but generally, his plans were followed. Oh, Emirate Xaaron isn't infallible. He's wrong sometimes, because he doesn't think he's wrong now. Everyone is acting as if he had said, 'Shoot Boondocker! Then jump on his corpse! La la la, I am a tyrant,' when, in fact, he went out of his way to suggest a possible rescue solution that doesn't involve giving into terrorist demands. That doesn't set a precedent of the Autobots bending over whenever the Decepticons grab an Autobot as a hostage.
And even the boy Prime has betrayed him.
He's tired. He's so tired.
Emirate Xaaron says sharply, "I would suggest that it be contained until one suitable to burdens it presents can be found."
Then, he goes for another rock, because there is always another rock.

Mirage's aim is true, and Scourge staggers. Perhaps he is dying. It's hard to tell.
As the wave hits, Scourge lashes his whip out.
The dead Rodimus Prime was damaged rather severely in this battle, and hints of the Matrix show through his armour. Scourge has heard what's up on the radio, and he's not going to leave where that baby ends up to chance.
His aim is true, and the whip tip curls around the device. Scourge is dying, he's sure of it. He feels like he's burning up - but Starscream's there, and he'll get the Matrix to safety. Where it belongs. Starscream will finish this.
Black dust from the desert curls around his whip as he reels in the Matrix.
Only, that's not dust. It's smoke.
Scourge is gone.

Without a word, without a sound, the too-shiny alternate Kup vanishes from this reality.
So, too, does the body of the demon Prime, vanishing at the same instant as Scourge.
OOC: Rodimus skippable until the rest of the -3 folks have done their vanishing act.

True to his word, Starscream fires on Mirage with two full-power null-rays, in anger.
"Scourge!" he yells with concern, rushing to his ally. Fortunately Scourge is proving to be a good soldier and even as his spark may nearly be extinguished, he still secures the Devil Prime's matrix.
And then, the light flashes, and Starscream has gone too.

The shattered wreckage that was Midnight-3, with four fried brain components and a personality pattern stuck in mid-copy, slowing fading away with dying circuitry...
..quietly vanishes along with Starscream-3 and Scourge-3.

They say where there's smoke, there's fire.
That's what Mirage is counting on.
Starcreams's null blasts hit Mirage at the instant the pulse washes over him. Hound follows his master home- even if his master may wear a different face.

Rodimus Prime's optics open wide when Perceptor's warning comes over the radio, but before he can even open his mouth to shout a warning, a command, anything, the interlopers are gone. He physically stumbles in shock, but recovers himself before he falls.
Well, no need to waste a perfectly good opened mouth.
"Gods damn it!" Rodimus swears. A strange swear to Transformers from some realities, but Rodimus swore by nameless god or gods for long before he even first heard the name of the creator whose face he wore. The Prime shakes his head, bringing his palm up to his forehead, sighs, then looks down at Emirate Xaaron.
"I... did that look off to you?" he asks the elder.

Emirate Xaaron comes up with a rather metallic rock in his hand. He looks extremely troubled an seems to be having trouble looking right at Rodimus Prime.
However, he nods, slowly, tiredly, and he has to agree, "Rather."
This is why he wanted to wait on things, to make sure that matters were settled.
Sighing, Emirate Xaaron walks over to Rodimus Prime's side, to offer him some support, even if he does carry the Chaos Bringer inside him.

Rodimus accepts the support. He's in no condition to turn it down, after all. He looks up at the crater side.
"There's still trouble in the medical outpost. I... think I might be able to still transform, but I'm not up to driving up the inside of the crater - it's easier to climb it." He glances over some of the wrecked and fallen segments. "We might have an easier climb along one of those other walls..." There are, after all, a lot of little nooks and crannies, which are exactly what they used to hide in at the beginning.
