Dead End is mildly surprised when Fleetwind-3 ducks under him--my, isn't he agile--and slightly annoyed that by rising behind him instead of in front of Dead End, the yellow jet is completely out of Dead End's angle of fire. By the time Dead End skids into a bootlegger reverse and brings his guns to bear, Autobot-Nice Fleetwind is nearly out of range--
And has been joined in the sky by Our Own Cowardly Fleetwind. Oh joy. Confusion of targets ahoy. He could shoot them both, Dead End supposed, but they... had just pulled out of vehicle gun range and he didn't actually dislike Fleetwind or anything.
Perhaps there was someone else here to engage. If not, well, it wasn't like the outcome of this battle actually mattered in the big picture. The red Stunticon flicked on his radar, trying to scan through the jungle for targets... spotting something, he gunned his engine and plunged through the trees toward someone...

His optics were far too bright to be the other Skystrike, even if Skystrike were to power up her filth clouded optics to the highest output. Skystrike-3 did, however, feel the similar momentary twinge of regret at being created a flier with large, easily noticeable wings. The approaching rumble of familiar Porsche engines through the crackling smoke was an unpleasant testimony to that innate disadvantage. Very little time to play ‘Guess Which Version’ at this range and jumping out to himself so near to the enemy’s trap would be a bit too reckless but he didn’t exactly have too many options.
Damn Dead End and his radar.
Skystrike quietly ducks and crouches behind a tree, shoulder guns powering up as his sharp eyes dart through the smoke and the burning leaves, trying to pick out and piece together bits of maroon.

Judging from the outline of those wings, it's a Seeker--but which one, and which faction? Dead End can see hints of blue through the reddish-purple foliage.
"Ah-ha! A blue Seeker--so obvious! We only have nearly half a dozen of the fellows--and no doubt they do as well," Dead End remarks to himself, or possibly some invisible omniscient observer that he wishes to keep informed.
Still in car form, the Stunticon raises his volume slightly. "You do know that standing behind a tree trunk when your wings stick out to either side is remarkably pointless? Why don't you step out here like a helpful fellow and let me get a good look at you?"
Over the Villain Band, he asks, // Location check on all blue or partially blue jet-formers, please. I need to confirm a target. //

Alright, so he really wished he didn’t have wings right now. Although his apparent blueness seems to have saved him a few seconds— long enough to confirm which Dead End this was.
“Well, I’d love to be helpful!” Skystrike replies standing swiftly up from his crouch, snapping shots off in Dead End’s direction as he leaps into the air. “Knowing you lot though, such a love is simply going to get me terminated.” Being a big blue seeker in the jungle wasn’t very good for survival unfortunately. Better luck in the sky, although he’d have to keep an optic out for any other non-good-guys that might approach them. Easily confused with other blue seekers or not, it didn’t hurt to be careful.

Dead End swerves, taking the shots on his side doors rather than his radar sensors. His force field sparkles briefly as the shots connect. An impending tree forces the Stunticon to go up on two wheels to fit between it and a neighboring trunk; by the time he rights himself and faces where Skystrike was, the blue bird has headed for the sky. Jungles are terrible terrain for automotive combat.
Dead End transforms into robot mode and flies up above the forest canopy, drawing his concussion rifle as he climbs. Once clear of the odd reddish foliage, he carefully aims his concussion rifle at the rising blue shape and pulls the trigger twice...

The first shot slams into his right air vent before he could dodge. The force of it sends him flying backwards slightly and left an unsightly mark behind despite saving him from the second shot.
Skystrike transforms after a quick somersault to correct his position, then gladly returns two missiles Dead End’s way.

Dead End ducks below the treetops, letting himself fall into the tangle of trunks and limbs. Ancient tree limbs crack and shatter as the weight of a few thousand pounds of steel and alloy slams into them. At the last moment, Dead End turns on his lifters and lands gently.
He glances up; as he had hoped, the missiles go astray, hitting trees and detonating somewhere above Dead End's head. A shower of splinters, foliage and broken limbs comes tumbling down, covering the fastidious Stunticon with maroon leaves and branches.
"Oh, bother," he says, brushing the debris off. He shakes off his rifle and makes sure it is clear, then waits a moment to see if the Other Skystrike will return.

Skystrike spares a moment to watch the explosion, the brief pause tinged with a touch of guilt. He probably shouldn’t be feeling bad about shooting at Dead End, especially since this wasn’t his Dead End. Nonetheless the feeling was there, the moment he’d spotted the other. It was one thing to talk about shooting at familiar faces, it was another thing entirely to put it to practice.
The blue seeker scowls slightly to himself. No chance at getting Swerve out of here by now, Other Dead End had probably alerted all the Decepticons in the area about his presence. If he could take Other Dead End down though, the Other Decepticon’s on the ground in the area would lose a good set of sensors.
Of course, his Duskwing’s voice suddenly comes clear over the radio and quickly dispels any thoughts of chasing after the dark Porsche. The berkut turns to high tail it out of the area.

Dead End is content to let the ersatz Skystrike leave. It's the job of the jets to chase other jets in the air. His targets are on the ground. Possibly.
He finishes brushing the leaves and twigs off himself and transforms back into Porsche mode, running his radar, looking for more targets. No one has reported Kup or the Bumblebees on the battlefield yet that he's heard of...
Most likely he'll find them all at once and they'll turn him into spare parts. Oh well. He knew he'd never leave this planet in one piece, let alone functional.
