I thought I'd show off the Classics/Universe Jazz figure I finished this morning, and mentioned to some of you on chat last night. He's based on Universe Prowl, and on the surface of it, he's just a repaint, but I've made quite a few minor tweaks to make him look more like himself. I trimmed part of the headlight off his door pieces and glued them to his chest, widening it slightly, removed one of his shoulder launchers, and used pieces of sheet styrene to build up his head after removing Prowl's 'horns'. I also swapped his hands with those from a Sunstreaker; since the Sunstreaker's going to have white hands, it seemed more sensible than painting white hands black and black hands white. The biggest alteration was reversing his legs and rigging his waist so it could turn round and still fit together in car mode. The shin plates were made with a few pieces of styrene sheet and tubing, hinged with a wire pin. The plates swing outward to allow the legs to fold up. The stripes, numbers and adverts were drawn up in OpenOffice.org Draw, printed, and covered with adhesive tape before being cut out and glued in place. And a spare rubsign allows him to conceal his identity as an Autobot unless he needs it. And without further ado.. pictures! Click on the thumbnails for full size shots. ;D
