Day 22, after Jazz and Sentinel Prime left Club Con. Open, I guess, but if they can't find a private place to run into Oracle and talk among Designated Good Guys, this might become semi-private. I hope this is okay? If it's not, I can edit or take it down.- - - Sentinel Prime hasn't exactly noticed that no one seems to speak their languages here. As such, he's complaining, "Maybe we should get a private room checked out on the ship." A few of the local look at him and Jazz funny at that comment. He stares back at them, uncomprehending, and sneers just a tiny bit at their non-Cybertronian inferiority. He's walking by an open air café now, as he continues to, well, whine, "Anyone could hear us if we just go to some open air café." What Sentinel Prime doesn't understand is that hearing is not always understanding.

Gah, sorry for taking so long. The last few days have been rather hectic for me.
------
Jazz spins around, walking backwards as he talks, grinning a bit. "So what if they can hear us? If we speak in Cybertronian, nobody'll know what we're saying, bro!"
Then he taps at his chin. "Though a place a biiiit more enclosed would be a bit nicer - where we can keep an eye on an entrance for 'Cons. Someplace noisy, where prospective eavesdroppers will have trouble listening."

Stepping out of the doorway of the Cafe that the other two are walking past, Oracle tips her head as she watches them.
"There are plenty of places around here like that. If you're looking for loud and forgettable your best bet may be one of the casino restaurants." Hard to eavesdrop if you're trying to hear over the ringing of the slot machines after all.
"Though, it's always good to make sure you're in a friendly, or at least neutral casino. Or it's more trouble than it's worth." And she would know. Giving a slight grin and a shrug, she moves to walk along with Sentinel and Jazz, rather curious as to what the two of them are doing here. So she asks. "So what are you two doing in this part of town?"

Sentinel Prime looks a bit dumbstruck by Jazz, and he seeks confirmation, "Wait what? No one speaks Cybertronian around here? Don't they have linguists?"
And then Oracle ninja-appears. (Not really, but close enough.) To his credit, he doesn't jump. He doesn't even twitch. Instead, Sentinel Prime turns a dazzling smile on Oracle, not showing a hint of his first reaction to her - which was, as we all recall, to flip out and assume she was a Starscream clone. He'll never be able to undo his first impression, but he can at least try to not make it any worse than it already is.
Sentinel Prime points over at Jazz and explains wryly, "Looking for part-time work, apparently. The Decepticons have a casino, and Jazz was offered a job."
He'd ask where her buddy is, but that might just be something he doesn't want to know, he decides.

Jazz head-tilts at Oracle, then grins slightly when she makes suggestions. "SP hit the nail on the head. We were scopin' out their casino, and Shockwave offered me a job as a DJ. We were just looking for a good place to discuss it."
He chuckles, turning around and continuing the walk. "Tag along if ya want - though we should probably avoid the 'Cons' rival casino, <name>. They probably won't bother to differentiate between one kind of transforming robot and another..." Jazz makes a slight wincing face. "Don't wanna run into that."

Oracle would probably be more offended by Sentinel's first reaction to her, if she wasn't used to getting variations of it all the time. Though the being called a clone thing was new.
Flashing a grin at Jazz, she can't help but comment. "Work as a DJ Jazz? How...fitting." And amusing, but she doesn't say that part. "Though the fact you were offered a job there makes me wonder." Were the Cons trying to keep an eye on the Saboteur? Probably, she couldn't really think of another reason they would want him underpede.
"The casino over there," she points to one just a little further down the street, "has a restaurant that would probably suit well enough. And I don't think it's hostile." Meaning she's not about to get chased out, it might be time to move onto another district soon. Hm.

Sentinel Prime points out, "The more time they spend watching Jazz, the less time they can watch... well, anyone else."
He starts to move on down the way that Oracle is pointing. "And they wouldn't be doping it if they weren't getting something out of it. Between this Merchant Guild and the propaganda commercial and everything.. we need to stop them somewhere." He slams a fist into his other hand.
Or maybe Sentinel Prime is just angry at Shockwave for being his prosecutor. That is very possible.

Jazz grins, and at Sentinel's observation about the 'Cons watching Jazz, he nods and glances back. "Exactly. And the more reason I give them to watch me, the better."
Jazz then heads over to the casino that Oracle pointed out, and once inside, finds them a table. The area is rather busy, so they should be drowned out fairly well.
Once they're situated, Jazz leans on one arm at their table. "Now...we've got this lovely opportunity - what can we do with it?"

Oracle takes the precaution of switching to Cybertronian to answer Jazz, not that the conversation is particularly sensitive, but just in case. "Other than try to give the 'Cons one Pit of a processor ache? Trying to keep an optic on you should do that all on it's own Jazz." Unless they really wanted to let a saboteur free rein of their casino. Did Sentinel and Jazz have other plans though? The question implied that so she should probably confirm.
Taking a moment to do her own visual sweep of the room once they're seated, Oracle doesn't see anything that looks like trouble at the moment so she focuses her attention on her companions. "Had you another objective in mind? It sounds that way. And I would be amenable to helping. I've been avoiding that casino on the other hand, seemed like just asking for trouble poking into their business for no good reason. So, I don't know about the inside."

Sentinel Prime quite proudly also segues over to Cybertronian, which is a proper language, not some filthy alien pidgin. He doesn't look at the chair when he sits down. If he doesn't look at it, he doesn't have to think about it, and he can just pretend that he won't need a long shower once this is over. He holds his hands up and points out, "Whatever we do, it'll be putting Jazz in a lot of danger." His voice lowers, "But the two big problems are money and good will, right? Pretty sure we could tank both at once. if it came time for a fat cat, a real high roller, to cash out, and the cash wasn't there... boom. The Decepticons now have a very powerful enemy who thinks the Decepticons just gypped them. We get out while they're busy dealing with Irate McTentacles."

Jazz makes the language switch as well, looking over at Oracle. "Well, we didn't get very far in thinking of things - more like this fell in our laps and we were wondering 'gee, what do we do with this golden chunk of opportunity'?"
Then he turns to Sentinel Prime, and the saboteur strokes at his own chin a bit. "...clean the 'Cons out, eh?" Jazz smirks, mulling it over. "It'd be pretty dangerous - if we got caught doing it, our reps as a whole would fall further in the scrapper..."

Oracle can't help but look intrigued as she turns her attention between Sentinel and Jazz as well. "I agree. It would be dangerous, but if we did manage to clean them out it would benefit us and hurt them at the same time. The problem is...how? I mean, do you know anything about how casinos work?" Because she sure doesn't. Oracle has learned about the games and some about how the front of a casino works, but not much about the underside.
"What would we need for this? And how to go about doing it?" Are three people even enough to get something like this done in the first place?

Sentinel Prime actually realises a flaw in his plan. This is probably a first. "Hnn... if we set up a whale to take the fall for us... you know how Decepticons are. We'd be putting some third party in danger. And Autobots... don't do that?"
He looks to Jazz and Oracle for confirmation, uncertain. To be honest, as far as he can tell, all his universe's Autobots did was enforce law and stability on Cybertron and the colonies. They weren't explorers like the Autobots of old or protectors like the Autobots of other universes.
More confident, he continues, "So we have to pick the right day. A day when the guy trying to cash out, who will shortly be an angry guy who finds the Decepticons are flat broke, is slagging untouchable, like... a crooked chief of police or a big time mob boss or a politician on the take. Someone even the Decepticons can't make uncomfortable when he comes down on their organisation like a pallet of extra large space bridge parts. So we'll need the schedule. They gotta know when the big shots are rolling in-"
Sentinel Prime's getting ahead of himself, isn't he?
"...well, yeah, we'll need more than just us, and no, I don't know a thing about casinos." He rubs the back of his helmet. "Didn't really fit the squeaky clean officer image. So we get more people in. But not too many. One slip of the lips, and this plan is more slagged than yesterday's wrecks."

Jazz drums his fingers against the cheek side of his helmet, hmm-ing. "I don't know much of anything about how the casino works from the inside, but I figure I'll learn on the job - if not through official training, through observation." He half shrugs, chuckling. "Unless they shackle me to the dance floor and don't release me until my shift is up."
Then he turns to Sentinel Prime, nodding. "Yeah, that's another issue - unless we can get one to work with us. Or, one of our own to pose as a high roller," Jazz muses, then points at Sentinel when he mentions the schedule. "There ya go - Swindle probably would pick up on such a thing real quick. Might have to buddy-buddy up to him to get at that info."
Another nod. "Yeah, the humans got a phrase - too many cooks spoil the soup, but the possibility of a slip would be the bigger danger."

Oracle is not going to share opinions about what Autobots do and do not do. She's a horrid example herself and she'd rather avoid sounding like a hypocrite.
"Do we have anyone we could get to pose as said high roller that then Decepticons wouldn't recognize? I mean, most of us are identifiable in some way or another." Autobrands totally aside she means. "If they chain you to the dance floor Jazz, I think you may have other problems besides trying to figure out how their casino works. Like finding a new job." Because seriously, being partially immobilized around the Deceptions doesn't sound smart to her. Or you know, safe.
"So then, other then a schedule, and maybe a layout, what else do we need to know?" What they don't know is probably more than what they do know, but one has to start somewhere. "And maybe more importantly, if we have to be careful about bringing more people in, are they are skills we're going absolutely going to need that one of us doesn't have yet? Would be bad to miss something like that."
