Kup rubs the back of his head and mutters, "'Celebration: on-going,' 'Clean-up: later' my left.." but he breaks off his grumbling when Omega reveals that he's fated to become a Targetmaster. "Wha-?!" is all he has to say to that, and then he shakes his head. Boy, but he hopes to Alpha Trion he's got a good reason for that!
When Omega explains what Nebulans are, Kup turns back towards Perceptor and shrugs. "Only description I got for them from Nightbeat was 'little alien dudes.' Apparently, the Decepticons have got two Targetmasters with them right now, name of Spinister and Needlenose. Needlenose appears to be the one who put the hurting on Omega Supreme."

Organic humanoid aliens? What madness is this?
Obviously, from the damage caused to Omega Supreme by these... Targetmasters, they represent a significant increase in firepower. But for a Transformer to consent to having its head replaced with a small, frail, ephemeral organic? What organic could possibly compete with a Cybertronian's computing power enough to represent a significant enough increase in ability for someone to consent to having their head replaced?
Yes, Perceptor is admittedly a bit biased. Perhaps more than a bit, but, honestly, there's not likely a single organic life form in the known universe - multiverse - that could keep up with the overachieving scientist. Can you honestly fault him for his bewildered arrogance?
"How is it possible that the inclusion of an organic could that significantly improve the performance capability of the base mechanism?" he asks, boggled by the mechanics of it.
Kup may be stuck on the whole issue of the Decepticons being loose to continue causing havoc in the universe, but Perceptor cannot get past the... messy ephemeral nature of what Omega Supreme is suggesting may be included in the future of the Cybertronian race. Perhaps the short term benefit might truly be balanced against the awkwardness of the arrangement - just look at the damage Omega Supreme had taken - but--
"Wait..." he interjects into his own thoughts. "Spinister and Needlenose? Are those not the individuals whom Xaaron mentioned as posing an extreme and significant risk to his own continued functions?"
See Xaaron? Perceptor really was paying attention then. Honest. He's just... easily distracted by all the shiny, and forgets to verbalize his responses sometimes. Really, that's best for everyone. Can you imagine it if he actually remembered to say everything that was on his mind?
Perceptor meets Kup's optics gravely.

Omega Supreme just shrugs in answer to Perceptor's question. He has no idea of the science behind the *master process. He assumes it seemed like a good idea at the time. Omega Supreme remembers Emirate Xaaron mentioning Spinister and Needlenose. He agrees, "Affirmative." His blue optics narrow, and he inquires, "Excessive force: necessary?"
May he step on Needlenose? Please?

Kup shrugs. "Sorry, Perceptor. You're asking the wrong folks about the reason behind that Headmaster business." Kup hasn't lived through the business yet, after all, and Omega... oh, yeah. Try to get scientific explanations from Omega! Go for it!
"But yeah, Spinister and Needlenose are the ones Xaaron mentioned. The firepower Needlenose was using apparently wasn't his normal levels, though. Nightbeat says he thinks something their Grimlock went looking for that was s'posed to help their own side got used on him by mistake. He suspects it has some side effects that keep him from transforming, though." Kup shifts to try to look at both the scientist and the Guardian. Not really possible, so instead he looks from one to the other once. "So far, we seem to be the only reality where all Decepticons have robot mode flight. That may be one clue to figuring out if a Decepticon is ours or from one of these similar universes, at least unless they find a way to adapt it for those others."
Finally, Kup looks up and nods at Omega. "It may be, yes." Of course, Omega considers excessive force necessary for the Constructicons, too, and how long have they managed to survive now despite that?

Perceptor isn't normally one to encourage "excessive force" - Wheeljack was always the one to design the weapons, after all - but...
"True enough. What benefit would that serve, however?" he asks, frowning. "The battle at the energy transmission facility proved that, regardless of reality of origin, Decepticons seem prepared and eager for conquest and destruction."

Away from the interview, inside a cage, a beast awakens.
A large blue-eyed beast, with sharp pointy teeth and claws, a big mouth, and big stature.
...and big confusion. Grimlock looks around, finding the setting to be Not Cybertron. Possibly Earth? If so--waitaminute. A familiar something! Two familiar somethings! Our boss Dinobot sees two companions, Perceptor and Kup.
"Kup!" Grimlock calls out, thundering toward where the elder Autobot stands...until a surge of energy shocks Grimlock, causing him to stumble back. The cage's forcefield was still active, though old, malfunctioning, and not strong enough to cause great pain to the Dinobot.
Grimlock shakes his head and growls. "You no hold me Grimlock! Me Grimlock break out!" And...he charges again, not falling back this time, trying to push through as energy crackles. The emitters strain, and after a few moments, give out in a discharge, followed by smoke. Grimlock is out...and head over heels as he stumbles to the ground with a massive THUD. He quickly recovers, however, getting back on his feet, and returning to his elated chase as if nothing had happened.
Once getting nearby, Grimmy proceeds to slide a few feet up to Kup, grabbing him up in a big ol' Dinobot-hug for Those Rare Folks That Dinobots Love. "Kup! Me Grimlock happy to find Kup here!" he announces, putting the elder back down after a moment, then looking around confusedly. "...where be 'here', though?"

Omega Supreme is as startled as anyone to see Grimlock suddenly appear. With a rather loud thud, he sits down, Indian style. He stares as Grimlock hugs Kup. Omega Supreme guesses this is a fairly friendly Grimlock, then. He isn't going to try to explain the situation to Grimlock. Kup and Perceptor can do that. Suckers.

And the 'thud' from Omega rattles through the ground, waking another in the Zoo. Sideburn sits up and looks around, not comprehending his surroundings. Where is he? Last he remembers is chasing that sweet little red sports car, then he blacked out, and now... Now he's someplace that kinda looks like a zoo, but no zoo ever found on Earth. ...Or on Cybertron either. Worriedly, he activates his radio.

Kup is picked up and Dino-glomped by Grimlock. "Grimlock!" he exclaims, both startled and pleased to see the Dinobot. Fortunately, he's tough enough to withstand this level of abuse - there are a lot of mechs out there who would be crushed by Grimlock's more enthusiastic huggings. When he's put back down, he answers, "Gillanan III. Erm... we're not sure what's been grabbing us and sticking us here yet, Grimlock, but," Kup looks around as the radio alerts him that there's yet another new arrival, and he spots the blue car-former, "it looks like we've got another newcomer."
He steps around the Dinobot for a better view. Hnh. Doesn't recognize this one. Still, he raises his right hand in a friendly greeting. "Hey! Don't know any T-Ai or X-Brawn, but my name's Kup. If you'd like to join us, I'll try to explain what I know about what's going on to you and Grimlock here," Kup gestures to the dinosaur, "at the same time. It's a bit complicated, and we really haven't figured much out, yet, but I can give you what we got."
In fact, Kup is more than a little worried that Grimlock won't be able to understand what's going on.

Fortunately, Perceptor has always used far too many large words to have endeared himself to the Dinobot commander; the scientist has no need to fear damage to his delicate components from a Grimlock Dino-glomp.
He hopes.
He could offer his own attempts at explanation, however, this Cybertronian Three Bear's Storytelling - his own version far too complicated, Omega Supreme's not nearly complicated enough, and Kup's just right version - is probably best left in the veteran's capable hands.
Far be it from Perceptor to usurp another's chosen function, after all.

"Gillanan III? Me Grimlock never hear of that place..." he remarks, plodding back a couple of steps to transform, glancing toward the newcomer, then to Kup. Looks like Grimlock's gonna be getting a story, but probably one he won't like very much. And...Grimlock finally notices Omega Supreme, looking up and waving slightly. "Oh, me Grimlock no see you at first, Omega...hullo!"
He also makes a slight suggestion to Kup on radio concerning Sideburn...

Omega Supreme waves to Grimlock and greets coolly, "Salutations."
He sits down and folds up into base mode, since he doesn't need to draw any more pictures or stand on his tip-toes to prove any points about height. Omega Supreme regards Side Burn with dull curiosity. He's just yet another Autobot that Omega Supreme doesn't know.

Sideburn stands up and waves back to Kup. "Alright, I'll be right there!"
Then he starts slightly as he hears a familiar voice over the broadband. Shaking his head at the chatter that seems to have sparked off, he starts jogging towards the group of mechs.
And it really takes just over a few moments for him to get there. He gives these strangers a grin. "I'm Sideburn." He gives Kup a curious look. "Kup, right? You sure you haven't seen X-Brawn or Prowl around?"

"I wouldn't expect you have heard of it, Grimlock. It's a bit out of the way for us. I spent awhile here when my spaceship broke a long time ago, but... nothing much of interest happened." And coming from Kup, that's saying something!
He nods to Sideburn. "That's right, Kup. And yes, I'm sure I haven't seen anyone named X-Brawn or Prowl. Now, do I need to tell you that a few more times, or can I just get to explaining things?" Regardless of what Sideburn's response is, Kup continues, "I can? Good."
"This may be hard for you guys," and by 'you guys,' Kup means 'Grimlock,' "to understand but... there's something that's been grabbing Transformers from... all over. Not just off of Cybetron, or Charr, or Earth, or whatever, but out of whole different... alternate realities, and different times. Like... I'm from late in the year 2007... erm," and he gives a Cybertronian timestamp, for those who want to compare, "but Arcee is here, and she's from 2005. And we got some folks from further away than that. We also got different universes represented, though. Like..." and here Kup turns to Grimlock, "that one guy you were just talking to on the radio? He's Mirage. But he's not the Mirage you know. And, erm... we have a Jazz, and a Bumblebee, but they look completely different from what you're used to."
Kup sighs. He knows what he's saying is confusing. He just really doubts there's a way to break it down that makes much sense. "There's Decepticons that have been stuck on this planet, too. We're not sure where they're holed up yet; we're still getting established ourselves."
The veteran takes a long moment to consider what he needs to say next. Then he sighs, and shakes his head. Might as well state it plain. He turns to Grimlock, and holds his index finger out in a lecturing fashion. "Grimlock, there is a Long Haul in the area. He is an Autobot, do you understand? Not a Decepticon. An Autobot. Should be real easy to tell. He wears the Autobot symbol, just like we do. Do not attack him. You'll torque Omega Supreme off something fierce, and I won't be too happy with you, either."

Ah, good. Kup beat Perceptor to that rather sticky explanation, too. Of course, Grimlock, being more fond of Kup than of the entirely-too-verbose-with-far-too-large-words-as-a-general-rule Perceptor, is much more likely to listen to the elder mech than the scientist anyway.
Especially when it comes to something that outlandish.
Perceptor is going to be content to practice his ninja skills for another round. Yes.
