At Mirage's dismissal, Rodimus's expression twists into one of fury and his right arm swings out to backhand Mirage across the spy's turned back, knocking him into the warehouse, right next to the door.
He really has rather more in common with Scourge than he suspects.
This done, he closes quickly on Mirage, holding the smaller robot between him and the warehouse, trapping the other in place with his own body. He leans down to growl into his hound's right audio receptor, "If you really did want that rest, you wouldn't tempt me to remind you that you are, indeed here for my amusement." He pauses, his expression softens, and he lifts his hand to slip it between launcher and head and gently stroke the side of the other's head with its back.
"But you really needn't suffer for that amusement, you know," he purrs.

The blow was not unexpected, and in truth, Mirage would have been more worried had it not come. So despite the pain, he smirks when Rodimus pins him against the wall, a smirk that grows wider as Rodimus' tone shifts so easily. He chuckles darkly, murmuring, "Your buttons are so easy to push." Mirage presses back against the Prime as much as he can, plating scraping against plating. He can't really do anything in this position, but does not want to seem passive.
"It's always suffering, even when it's not painful," Mirage answers, tone still slightly harsh, "How would you feel, knowing that you're considered just a toy, and that you've been rendered powerless to change that? You weren't always a Prime. You can't have always been top of the pile."

"I wasn't," Rodimus growls. "That's why I changed that."
"You should know better than to try to appeal to my sense of sympathy, however." He releases Mirage, stepping back and putting some distance between them. "Suffer in pain, suffer in pleasure, or suffer in depravation. As strange as it may seem, you do have some choice in the matter, and it sounds like you've made your choice for tonight."
"Good night, Mirage." And now, it is Rodimus's turn to give the appearance of dismissiveness, as he turns and angles himself towards the warehouse.

"You changed it?" Mirage asks as he turns around, leaning against the wall he had just been pinned against. His tone turns mocking, "Or Primus changed it? You're as much a pawn as we are, I'll bet, or you wouldn't have winded up here with the rest of us. Even the most powerful piece in a game is moved by someone else's hand."
This is deliberate baiting now, what to some might seem a suicidal move. And to some, it might just be such. One day, Mirage might push his Prime's buttons one too many times, and that will be the end of the spy. But not so long as Rodimus needed and wanted him, of that Mirage is sure.
"I'm not the one being deprived," Mirage continues, with a self-satisfied smile, "I got what I wanted earlier- so did you, for that matter. You're just torqued off that I give you back truth instead of flattery, never mind that you don't want a simpering sycophant as a partner."
"You're the one choosing to...rest alone. Not me."

Mirage baits. Rodimus Prime stops and lets him speak, although his jaw tightens and his fist clenches. Then, however, when it seems likely that he is about to just spin on the spy and strike him again, he instead relaxes and shrugs.
"You're right. I am," he answers, and walks into the warehouse.
