Why're they all looking at me like that? Swerve warily eyes the trio staring back at him as he lowers his weapon and takes a half-step away. It's like they're amazed he can shoot a building. It's weird. And is that… is that admiration in Gizmo's gaze?
Weird. Just fragging weird.
"Yeah," Swerve grumbles flatly in Sideburn's direction, "thanks for that input." Like Swerve's systems didn't already tell him that. He stows his weapon before he can chance it going missing again and hunkers down with his small collection of scavenged and useable parts. This'll cover me for a while. "I ain't going anywhere near something that cracked block made," he snarls. "You three have fun."

Sideburn's happier to not remember the Car-dozer sandwich.
"I guess spending some time trying to find it couldn't hurt." He joins Gizmo searching, though in the area where he's already standing. Crunched car parts, what looks like it was once some sort of communication device, an unidentifiable twisted piece of metal... "So you're thinking to be on the lookout for a little round metal ball?"
He kicks another piece out of the way and gives a sheepish grin as that side of the pile of junk crashes down to the street. "Heh. Oops."

This'll be quite a bit harder than finding a needle in a haystack. Searching for a little tiny metallic ball amidst a junk pile that had once been part of a trash ball larger than a Transformer? Even with Wedge's drive for enthusiasm, this task isn't kicking up too many start-ups as the buildbot thinks about it more and more.
Besides, right now, half of the team is on Wedge's 'injured' list and he doesn't want to put off on getting them back into optimal condition again, especially if they keep on running into interesting things as often as they have been doing.
"Hey guys, I hate to say it, but right now is probably not the time to look for it. Maybe if we come back through again, but right now we should probably get what we need and move to a different area." Who knows if Screwdriver's going to come back with more toys...or friends. Wedge glances at his teammates, fists propped on his pelvic girdle as he looks for a response.

OOC: Skipping Gizmo due to time-out. He can post back in whenever.
Swerve has what he needs. Once he gets his supply of raw materials in order and he has some peace and fragging quiet to work without any annoying interruptions, he can see to working the material into a few more tools. He still doesn't have the selection he had back home and it bugs him.
"Whatever," he mutters in Wedge's direction as he gathers up his finds.

"Huh? Oh, uh... right, Wedge." Gizmo drops the vaguely computer-looking thing he had gotten distracted by and brushes his hands off on his thigh plates. He's had enough of Junkions and their toys for one day, and he really wouldn't like to see exactly who Screwdriver considered "playmates..."
OOC: Sorry folks! Life got crazy and I forgot to check the boards.. > <

"Okay." Sideburn starts climbing down the pile of junk, trying to get to a clearer area.
OOC: Sorry for the lameness. Long days make for ded brains.

Wedge quickly records a brief record of the area as well as the plentiful amount of accumulated scrap in this area. Hey, it might be useful in the future right? It's a moment later that Wedge makes a tentative note for this location to be a possible space-bridge terminal.
"So whenever you guys are ready. I'm going to go ahead and clear out a path." No, Wedge doesn't feel like having all of them climb back over junk with the chance that maybe one of them might get buried again under all that scrap. No, he's going to take good care of his team for sure this time.
OOC: So should we time skip out of here soon then?

OOC: Fine with a timeskip if you guys are.
Swerve's latest collection of spoils vanishes into the convenience of storage before he looks at the others. Wedge sure is itching to get on the move again. In a way, Swerve can't really blame the kid; the road's a better prospect than hanging around this dump now that he's done with scavenging. Not that there's much to do now that he's done with scavenging, either. And he doesn't want a slagging thing to do with whatever that toy of Screwdriver's is.
"Like I said," he grumbles finally, crossing his arms and being careful to avoid putting too much pressure on his ventral assembly, "whatever. I'll go out last. Somebody's gotta cover you dipsticks." Plus they can't give him any more of those weird looks if he's staring at their backs.

OOC: Timeskip's fine by me.
At Wedge's clear-a-path comment, Gizmo scurries out of his way as much as possible. He's had enough with garbage for awhile...

OOC: Timeskip's fine all around, it seems.
"I'm ready," Sideburn replies.

It's tricky business, picking one's way through the sprawl of trash. Though, with a few slips, Wedge managed to find his way out.
Now it's back on the black metal road and following it back to base with his team. Wedge does his best in keeping up with the others. The never-ending and speedy clatter of his treads hitting the road can attest to that fact. At the same time, he carefully catalogs all the events that have happened on the exploration as well as picking around maps details.
It'd be nice to get back to base though. Wedge can't help but worry at the nagging feeling in the back of his mind. That feeling's been growing all the time as the activity over various radio channels increased. "You guys think that things are alright back at base?" In other words: 'Maybe they needed us, maybe we need to get back soon.'. If that's the case then Wedge won't stop till he gets back there.

Swerve is all too aware of Wedge's speed and the noise he makes, back here at the tail end of the line. It's threatening to undo what little good comes of hanging back here and running slow because he hates running this slow and the constant deafening rattle of those treads is going to drive him straight up the nearest wall.
"They haven't exactly been hollering for help," the racer points out in a snarl, then throttles back to avoid plowing into Wedge. Frag it all. Why can't the kid be a blasted car?

Gizmo hangs out on Wedge's left side, mostly keeping pace with the bulldozer but occasionally drifting back as he slips into daydream. He's only halfway paid attention to the chatter on the radio, so he has only the vaguest idea that SOMETHING has been going on since they left. And part of him is disappointed that he missed something that was probably pretty cool.
"Dunno," he says in reply, and if he were in robot mode he'd offer a shrug. "But it'll be good to be back again. Not sure how much more adventure I can take."
This last is said with a laugh that's meant to be casual but comes out rather nervous. Gizmo's had his fill of adventure for the time being, and once he gets back to the base he's got half a mind to hole himself up with his computer and his movie downloads and never go outside again.

Sideburn drives opposite of Gizmo, easily staying in position relative to the Bulldozer. As much as he'd like to go faster, there's no way he's leaving a teammate behind.
"Yeah. It's not like they've called us back in on a Battle Protocol," Sideburn agrees with Swerve. "Relax, Wedge."
He pauses for a moment, then adds. "I know! We should play one of those human games to pass the time while we drive!"

He's being the slow pace-dozer again, Wedge knows and resents this. Why couldn't he have gotten wheels like Heavy Load or Hightower? Not for the first or last time, Wedge reminds himself that treads can actually come in pretty darn handy some times. This just isn't one of those times.
At everyone's assurance, Wedge reluctantly tucks the worry for the bots back at base into a lesser priority in his thought queue, but it's still there. "Yeah, yeah, I guess you guys are right."
He rolls without saying anything more for a few moments and Sideburn's suggestion finally sinks in. "Human games?"
