Skyblast cuts up, to get a better vantage point over the city. He did actually see some movement, and while it's probably just a drone or a wild animal, it's not an absolutely waste of time to check up on it. Sometimes, haywire or drones or wild animals can be dangerous, especially to the small Autobots.
Man, there are Autobots smaller than him! This is oddly exciting to Skyblast, who is used to being on the short end of the scale. Of course, there are Autobots way bigger than anything he ever saw here, too.
He dives down, chasing after the sight of motion. He'll know what is soon enough.

Having changed her mind and followed the other flier instead of trailing after the others to Perceptor's lab, Oracle has to stretch herself a bit to catch up before she looses track of the other jet.
Admittedly she's not sure at all about what made Skyblast go wandering off in this direction, but just the excuse to keep flying for the moment, rather then getting herself stuck in a lab with ground bound bots talking about things she admits are a bit beyond her makes it more then enough to interest her and sate her curiosity. Her original plan would probably have left her clueless anyway.
It appeared he had noticed something after all though, if the way he was diving was any indication. She wasn't close enough to see what he had spotted yet, but she did angle her flightpath to follow his.

Skyblast does notice that there is someone tailing him. That sort of situation awareness is important in a dogfight. Thus, the Valkyrie attempts to pull up and gain altitude over his tail, and then cuts speed, attempting to force her to overshoot him. There is a sort of lazy playfulness to his actions, however. If this was really a dogfight, he'd definitely be a bit crisper and quicker with his movements.
If this was a dogfight, he also wouldn't greet the other jet with, "Hey, nice wings! Good day for a flight, huh?"
They have female Autobots who can fly here! The only women Skyblast has ever seen are motorcycles, and those are nice, but jets! This place is awesome!

Oracle did overshoot Skyblast, but deliberately so she could curve back around to face him in the air. She wasn't feeling threated now, so there didn't seem to be any need for fancy contortions to make sure she reduced his threat potential. She was a bit amused that he was so easily distracted from whatever had gotten his attention in the first place, hopefully it wasn't something that would actually become a problem later.
"Any day is a good day for a flight." She may not be built for air combat like most warrior fliers, but that didn't mean she didn't love to be airborne when she could. She registered the compliment as well, though she didn't comment on it, since this close it struck her how small the other jet was, and if she could she would have blinked as she took a closer look at him.

The Valkyrie does have a fairly short attention span, but if he's doing something important, like painting or engaging in combat, he knows how to knuckles down. Whatever was moving can wait just a little bit. He has a lady jet to check out right now. It's nice that she's not a F-22. Skyblast knows that his Starscream turns into one of those, so he can't help but have a bad association there.
He pulls an Immelmann turn, reversing his flight path so that he is now flying away from her, and he barrel-rolls, commenting, "I saw something moving over here. Probably just a haywire drone or an animal, but they didn't need me in the lab, so I might as well check it out. You coming?" He'd rather like it if she is.

The thought of painting and combat in the same thought would have amused Oracle if she knew about it, but as it stands she just rotated through a barrel roll of her own gracefully as she followed him.
Pulling up off to Skyblast's right side though still slightly behind, she waggled her wings at him. "I'm certainly coming. I thought listening to the ones staying at the lab was likely to give me a headache, so I followed you over here. Why would I leave now? Besides, now I'm curious to see what you spotted." Well she supposed she could leave now, but she was being indecisive enough as it was with her waffling around about choosing to come over here in the first place.

Skyblast cuts his speed ever so slightly, and he attempts to flip and circle around her. There's absolutely no point to it. He really is just showing off. Skyblast replies cheerily, "Nothing as exciting as what's up here, I'm sure!"
He then dives, as he was earlier, and he pulls up gently just above the ground. It looks like some sort of native drone. Sometimes, these things can be a bit dangerous. He flits above it, trying to get a better look.

Ok, the circling was beginning to slowly get to her, and Oracle kept a slightly closer watch on Skyblast then previously as she tracked his antics. She could tell it wasn't maliciously intended, but that didn't mean it wasn't tightening the cables between her wings. "Well, not to me anyway. I'm sure to a science type what they happen to be talking about in there is fascinating."
Spiraling around Skyblast and the drone once they got close enough to get a better look at it, she had to take a second look to be sure it was what she thought it was. "Why, exactly, does that thing look like it escaped from a gardening show?" It didn't look hostile as far as she could tell, but at the same time she didn't think a close encounter with those garden sheers it had would be good for either of them.

"It's possible it did. You heard about Unicron, right?" Skyblast's flight, just for a second, wavers. Unicron scares the oil out of Skyblast, that's for sure.
This drone does not, for he comments, "We should try to catch it! Maybe Botanica can use it." She's into gardening, right?
He transforms and tumbles before dropping onto the ground on his feet. Skyblast extrudes a single energon blade as a precaution and draws nearer to the drone.

Unicron. Living through that horrible attack had been bad enough the once, she really hoped in whatever timeline this place they were being brought to existed in, Unicron had met its destruction since it had eaten the sister planet of the one they were on. She never wanted to look up and see that doom bearing down again. That hologram had been bad enough, and she only saw part of it.
"Yeah, I got here just in time to see the replay. I could have done without it though, talk about bad memories." A nose to tail shudder went through her before she pulled herself back under control. "So this was a drone of some kind the natives used in that case? Assuming it still functions I suppose it could be useful." She wasn't entirely sure who Botanica was, but she thought Skyblast knew what he was talking about better then she would.
For the moment, she continued circling over Skyblast and the drone he seemed to be stalking, though she did nudge her Sight a few more seconds out so she had enough warning to intervene in case the drone wasn't as docile as it seemed. Following Skyblast away from the group and bringing him back injured didn't seem like a particularly good plan of action to her, so she tried to avoid that if she could.

"You've actually encountered that thing?" Skyblast's gold optics widen. "I-I'm sorry." He is really not sure what to say. 'Sorry, we might have another one of those things here?'
About the drone, since it makes a good change of subject, Skyblast replies, "We sometimes run into native drones that are still active. Active doesn't always mean functional, though."
Making like some nature show host, Skyblast does the obvious thing to do with a semi-dangerous seeming feral object; he gets closer to it and attempts to poke it. He reverses his grip on his blade, holding it gingerly by the tip, and he taps the drone with the handle. One of its shears lances out at the poke, but Skyblast's reflexes are good, and he pulls away. He reserves his grip again, now holding the blade properly. Looks like capturing this thing for Botanica is going to take a bit of work.

Oracle isn't quite sure what Skyblast is apologizing for, but she supposes it's just one of those socially polite things that just ends up coming out sounding awkward instead. She transforms into her robot mode and shrugs, hovering over him and the drone. It she hadn't encountered Unicron, she wouldn't have said bad memories, but she's more then willing to change the subject.
A slight dip down in the air and a closer look at the drone prompts a thoughtful noise from her. "Well it isn't attacking at random, but it doesn't seem friendly either." At which point it lashes out at Skyblast after he prods it. Yep, not friendly. "So how intact should we keep this thing? Taking out a motor relay of some kind should be easy to fix, but hopefully prevent accidents." Or at least she thought it would be easy to fix, not like she was any kind of medic or engineer. She broke things, she didn't put them back together.

Skyblast circles warily around the drone, looking it over for weak spots or maybe an 'off button'. He can't read Gillananese, but he can press buttons until something happens. Oracle's suggestion seems worth a try, at the very least, so he looks up and asks her, "Got any idea where that would be?"
For all he knows, engineering is her hobby. Speaking of which, he chatters, "Got any hobbies?"

Making one more loop around the drone before answering, Oracle shakes her head. "Not a clue. I'm a scout, not an engineer, and that thing doesn't even look close enough to anything I've seen for me to extrapolate." If it had been even vaguely shaped like any of the varieties of mechanoid she usually encountered, she might be able to figure out the weak spot, but in all the things she had done since her creation, attacking a wood chipper wasn't one of them. The mad offspring of a wood chipper and a tree trimmer even less so in fact.
"Maybe we should just look for an access panel on second thought?" She hadn't seen one, but he was closer to the drone then she was after all.
As for hobbies? She didn't think practicing her skills somewhat obsessively counted, and that wasn't anything she wanted to share. Fighting for survival and constantly traveling didn't exactly leave much time for fun pursuits in the end. "No, I don't really have any hobbies. Always too busy with other things. You?" The more she kept him talking, the less she had to say. She could live with that.

Skyblast mulls the situation over and suggests, "What if we found a really big box and just tossed it over this thing? Then we could just push it over to wherever Botanica is and let her disable this thing. She has to be good with science and stuff."
This would involve finding a box, however. They may be better off just sticking with trying to disable it somehow.
Skyblast shoots Oracle a winning grin and explains, "I wouldn't call it a hobby. More of a vocation, really. I'm a sky painter."
