It seemed to Oracle that there was more potential for trouble with that idea then just finding a big stick and smacking the drone until it quit twitching. She wasn't sure how much use the drone would still be after that, but at least they wouldn't be dealing with surprise attacks from inside a box they were trying to push, assuming they managed to locate said box in the first place. "That would require finding a heavy enough container to protect our hands. Seems like a lot of work for a drone that might not even be useful." Probably wasn't in fact, but well she was a bit bored and messing around with the drone was better then the alternatives. Like maybe finding something actually productive to do.
Momentarily she was glad she wasn't used to showing what she was thinking in her expression. Sky painting? Seemed like a rather frivolous pastime to her, and apparently he considered it something of his life's work so a disparaging remark probably wasn't going to go over all that well. "Sounds artistic. What does that entail?" See, she could be diplomatic when she needed to. Hopefully she didn't have to test that theory too often though, she wasn't sure it would hold water for long.

Skyblast claps his hands together and exclaims, "Oh, it is art! Art in the highest – literally, when you take the altitude into account. I'm equipped with smoke generators that burn coloured paraffin wax, so I can leave coloured trails behind me, in addition to my usual vapour trails. By executing precision turns, I can paint the sky with pictures."
His art takes extremely good reflexes and agility. It just so happens that combat does, as well. So it isn't as frivolous as it looks. Add in that he used to get paid to do this, before the war, too. He adds, "I'm going to do a picture for Slingshot, which reminds me that I need to talk to Kup."
How those two thoughts are connected isn't particularly evident. With no more than, "Distract it," Skyblast dives in, blade in hand.

Alright, so anything you can get paid for isn't totally frivolous, and it does sound like it might help improve his skills in the air, but she still couldn't quite see the point. On the other hand no one ever called her an art connoisseur. Or an art critic for that matter. "More complicated then it sounds at first then." What painting something for Slingshot had to do with talking to Kup, Oracle had no clue at all, assuming there was a connection in the first place. Nothing to do with her though, so she just shrugged it off.
Now while she didn't really need a warning, not that Skyblast knew that, it would probably have been polite to give one. Looked like he was tired of dithering about what to do with the drone though, so with a huff of amusement Oracle dove downward, trying to present herself as a more tempting target then Skyblast was. She was a bigger target anyway, if nothing else.

Skyblast scuttles down low and manifests his whole spear, finding just a single small blade unsatisfactory. He attempts to wedge the tip of the spear under the machine and then lever it to flip the machine over on its side, where they'll be more at their leisure.
Of course, the machine seems to find this intrusion on its usual well-being non-desirable and snaps out at anything in range. Skyblast seems to be managing with no more than a single nip to one of his wings.
He hollers, "Of course it's complicated! It's not like sky-writing." He sounds a bit disdainful. Why write simply 'I love you' in the sky when you can render the perfect image of your beloved and you down on bended knee?
Sky-calligraphy, though, Skyblast is fine with that, and sky-illuminated manuscript, too.

This was ending up turning into more of an endeavor then she had expected. That wasn't a bad thing entirely, since Oracle found herself having fun dodging the various sharp bits the drone was trying to perforate both her and Skyblast with. What that said about her idea of fun was a whole other issue.
Realizing if she didn't want to end up collecting more scratches then she really wanted to polish out later, Oracle scanned the area for something she could use to prod the drone with. Spying a branch that looked long enough, she scooped it up with a triumphant 'Ha!' and set about annoying the madcap machine to the best of her ability. Admittedly going after something that chewed up wood with a weapon made of the same meant she was sending splinters all over, but at least it was well distracted. Maybe it thought Oracle was a particularly overgrown tree with an attitude.
She didn't quite holler back, but the increased level of noise they were making did result in a raised voice to be sure he can hear her. "Never saw the point of sky writing either, unless it's to taunt the other side." Then again that makes the one doing the writing a lovely target. Art as a full contact sport!

Skyblast chatters, "There was this time I was out with Slingshot, and I painted a whole bull's eye target around one of the Decepticon Seekers. It was fun!" If he seems like he's adjusted fast, he has. Skyblast was on scouting parties for the Allspark, roaming through space. New places and new people are a common thing for him.
Skyblast tries hard, but he's having trouble getting the needed leverage. He's little, and while he's not weak for his size, the drone's bigger than him. He calls, "Oracle, could you maybe land on the back end of my spear to help flip this?" It's like a see-saw, only with Autobot jets and drone-tossing instead of human children having fun.

"Now that's funny." Painting a large bullseye around any Decepticon was pretty amusing in her opinion, but the fact he caught a Seeker just made it even funnier to her. Yes that was ironic, no she didn't care. Oracle wasn't actually adjusting as fast as she appeared to be, but different place, different people, same goals as far as she was concerned. Gave her at least some structure to hold onto.
Wait, flip this what? Looking over from taunting the drone, she got a better look at what Skyblast was trying to do. Oh hey, drone launching, should be fun. "You did check the landing zone, right?" Just in case he hadn't done so she looked over while she was positioning herself and still keeping the drone's attention. It didn't look like anything valuable was in the flightpath or target area, so she got a bit of extra height before pouncing on the back end of Skyblast's spear. Shortly there after, the inevitable occurred.

"Funny but true," Skyblast replied, optics glittering with amusement. Skyblast didn't check wherethe drone would get chucked. It'd s good thing that Oracle did!
There is a bit of a cracking sound when it lands, and it thrashes quite a bit, but the drone appears to be unable to right itself. Success! Skyblast brings his spear back up, point to the sky, and he leans against it. He rubs his chin and asks, "So... do we just drag it now?"

Is it still planning ahead when you can see the results if you don't? Whichever the case, Oracle is used to having to do so in order to avoid various mishaps. Like drones hitting someone about to walk up and so forth. "Well aren't the best jokes funny but true? If you do that again I want to see it." Though that was probably a hard trick to repeat.
The drone seems to be down for the count though, which is good because she would be a bit worried about the gardening drone that could handle being tossed into the air and coming down hard like that. "Well I don't think it's going to be moving on its own, so dragging it would be the best option. By hand or in a sling though?" Looking at the flailing about the drone is doing, she's not sure by hand sounds like a very good option. A sling might not survive though.

Skyblast beams up at Oracle. He'll make an art-lover out of her yet! Or maybe she just appreciates bad humour. Either way, he replies, "Another target around a Decepticon Seeker? That could be arranged. I might do more of a dartboard design, though. I dislike exactly repeating a work, although I'll do variations on a theme."
Skyblast scratches his head and thinks aloud, "Huh. Know where we could find some chain or metal cable? That'd stand a better chance that natural or synthetic fiber."

The bad humor, definitely. Oracle wouldn't know good art if it bit her. "A dartboard works. We could try and get one of the other Con Seekers to crash into it possibly too. Best aim wins?" A slightly risky game to be sure, but she was planning on cheating anyway. She probably shouldn't mention that though.
Glancing around, Oracle shrugged. "No idea where we could find anything like that, though we could check a few buildings and see what we find." Looking between the two of them, she revised her statement. "Well, you could check in the buildings. Unless we want to lift the roof off, I'm a bit big."

Skyblast squints and comments, "You know that smoke isn't solid, right?" Crashing into a painting made of smoke just isn't very crash-y.
"Right, I'll look for a hardware store or a mechanic shop," he chirps, before taking a look at the surrounding buildings. That one looks promising! Off he goes.

Oracle refrained from giving him a scathing look, but couldn't quite completely squash her expression of vague irritation. Was he going to tell her water was wet next? She knew smoke wasn't solid, she didn't mean it like that. Though she supposed he could paint the dartboard in front of something... "I know it isn't. Poor choice of words on my part? You could paint it in front of a cliff or something else on the other hand, that would be dual purpose." A game plus smashed Decepticons, worked for her.
While Skyblast goes off looking in the buildings, she stays right where she is and watches over the drone to make sure nothing unexpected occurs. She doesn't think it's going to be getting up on its own again any time soon, but that wasn't the only thing that could happen. Wasn't like she could help Skyblast in his search much anyway.

Skyblast comes out of the hardware store with a bunch of chains and cables looped over his arm. He tosses some to oracle and replies back, "In front of a cliff and then play chicken with them? Sounds like a party."
He then dives in to try to tie up the drone from dragging transport. Wonder if Botanica'll be happy with the cat, er, jets dragged in?

Catching the chains when Skyblast throws them to her, Oracle takes a moment to test the strength of one lightly before she bounded over to help Skyblast truss the drone up so they can move it. Even though it was semi-disabled it still wasn't going to be totally easy to get it hooked up to travel. It was still flailing around a bit.
"Exactly. It would be fun, though I don't know who else would be willing to play." Slingshot might, she didn't think Skyfire would though.
In the midst of finding a good way to tie off one of the cables, she paused. "So...where are we taking this thing anyway? I haven't a clue where Botanica is at the moment." Hauling this thing all over the place would be annoying if they had to go looking for her.
