No, seriously! I have friends! I DO! This is not one of those Brady Bunch things where 'a friend' is really me! ;_;
ANYWAY, I have a friend who plays a very cool Megatron Origin canon-pulled Megatron. I know there's a 'mostly no Megatrons' rule, but this Megatron is just starting out and I think there's a chance y'all might not consider him particularly 'world warping'. Maybe.
Is there the slightest possibility you'd take a look at this character? I could point you to RP threads, or put you in touch with the player herself. I've told her no promises but maybe, no harm in asking just to make sure, right?
Yes, shush, Driftlock is friends with Megatron. It's even CANON! XD

It is not a "mostly no Megatrons" rule. The rule, as stated, is:
"No incarnations of G1 Optimus Prime or G1 Megatron."
This would generally allow for non G1 Megatrons, but to be frank, Megatrons from most other canons tend to be extremely overpowering and so are generally off-limits due to power level. But that's not even an issue here, because this is an incarnation of G1 Megatron.
Now, considering the fact that I'd be willing to allow, say, a G1 Orion Pax, if you're talking "significantly younger, more inexperienced, and less powerful" (note that last phrase, because it's important, and keep in mind how much less powerful Orion Pax was than Optimus Prime), I might consider it for a player who's been here for a while and whom I have considerable trust in, but I would not agree to allow such a character to a first-time apper.
I am only speaking for myself here, and have not consulted with the others, but I'm pretty firm on, "Never to a first time apper, and only with an extremely good justification for a player I have a lot of trust in." If she's a great player and is interested in trying her hand at a different character, we'd love to have her, but I don't want to suggest, "Maybe she could play for awhile, and then we'd consider it," because even then, the odds are slim.

Fair enough. I hope you don't think I was being obtuse or reactionary in asking. I figured there was no harm in asking, just in case. I apologize for misremembering. I haven't slept well and my memory is terrible. I meant no disrespect. I'm sorry to have angered you with my faily paraphrase.

I'm not angry, and there is no harm in asking. After all, if you ask, the worst we can do is say, "No," which puts you no worse off than not asking. I don't figure you were being obtuse or reactionary, if that helps.
