Slingshot twists to glare over his shoulder at the both of them. "I'm gestalt."
He never would have thought like this before he came to this universe. But he's had several years dealing with people who do think like that.
Silverbolt would have known what to say.

"Were you having these 'Dominator Disks' used on you, then?" Jetfire asks, still looking a bit startled. If he has, Slingshot has his sympathies! If not, he's just as confused as before.

Bluestreak looks confused, then horrified. "But you're an Autobot, Slingshot! Prime would never have used them on Autobots, and I think he only agreed to let Wheeljack use them on the Constructicons because it was an emergency. Optimus believed in freedom for everyone... even Decepticons. But he couldn't let them destroy the Earth!"

Slingshot is probably going to confuse Jetfire a lot. It's a thing.
His fists slowly unclench as Bluestreak talks. Okay. Okay. Optimus Prime is still the mech Slingshot remembers and trusts then. Because he wouldn't do it except for a planet-breaking emergency.
"I hate this," he says to no one in particular. "I hate learning who people really are here, because two-thirds of it is going to be completely useless when we get home and I'm going to be surrounded by a whole new set of strangers."

Oooh, that Jetfire can kind of understand, and his face falls. To commiserate, he shares, "Here I am learning that government back home is perhaps being ready to kill brother and I if experiment they are performing was turning us into badness-bots."
He's still not certain that he wants to go home.

Bluestreak looks thoughtful for a moment as Slingshot talks. "It might be a long time before we get home--I mean, our Autobots were crashed on Earth for 4 million years! Of course, we were offline for almost all of that, but it was still a very long time. So we might as well get to know people here. Besides, whenever you go someplace new, they're strangers. Doesn't hurt to practice 'getting to know people'; you'll probably have to do it a lot, either here or back home, because we aren't stuck on Cybertron anymore, and there's a huge galaxy full of strange people out there--even just Earth is a whole lot of new people to get to know!"
Then Jetfire speaks his piece, and Bluestreak just stares at him, silent with shock. His optics widen in horror, but he can't seem to find words.

"I didn't say I wasn't going to learn about the people here!" Slingshot snaps at Bluestreak. "I said it's going to be useless when we go home!"
Then Jetfire says what he has to say, and Slingshot's optic-band flashes. His mouth drops open, he starts to say something, pauses, starts to say something else, then just settles for gesticulating wildly. "What is wrong with your people?"
It's lucky no one has ever told him about the Marvel Aerialbots.

Jetfire looks down at his feet sadly and rubs the back of his head. "Is not every people. Our government is just perhaps being... not all good."
It's hard for Jetfire to admit that, even as hurt as he was to learn that, and as much as he isn't sure he even wants to go home anymore. Questioning authority like that is... awkward for him.

"Are you sure?" Bluestreak says, still looking horrified. "I mean, your Optimus Prime seems like a really good guy, and I can't see him going along with anything like that and isn't Prime some kind of official in your government? I know your 'Prime' is not the commander-in-chief the way it is for me back home, but isn't it kind of important, still? If not-good people were in charge, I don't think they would promote a guy like Optimus to any kind of rank, because I don't think he's the type to put up with bad people doing bad things."
"I mean, we had Bots turned bad from a Decepticon experimental weapon once, and what we did was rescue them and fix them. Killing them for something that wasn't their fault would have been really wrong, and there wouldn't have been any Autobots left if we'd done that, because most of us on Earth were affected, and the Decepticons plus the turned Autobots almost wiped the good guys out as it was."

"If it's the government, then you've gotta get rid of them. You're not in the middle of war, you aren't stuck with those guys! Elect new ones! Or whatever it is you people do."
If assassination is your method of changing politicians, hey, Slingshot's got your back, Jetfire. He dislikes you less than he dislikes Sentinel Prime and the faceless government that's tried to screw you over.

"Ah, Prime isn't being necessarily high of rank..." Jetfire explains to Bluestreak. "Sentinel Prime was being of very high importance, but Optimus Prime was being only being commander of space bridge repair crew."
Jetfire sighs. "Government is... complicated. Perhaps if we were having new Magnus..." Shrugging, he tries to smile it off. "But is being problem for home, yes? Not for here."
