"Why?" Cameron asks quietly, and waits for an answer. And waits. And waits.
He tilts his head, staring at Hollister's oddly blank face. "Hollister?" He raises his voice. "Hollister." A small frown slowly creases his face as there's no response from his guardian.
"Holi," he prompts, reaching up to shake Hollister's wrist. "Please wake up. You were telling me something important." It's the easiest way Cameron can think of to express his worry.

There was a time, Hollister thinks, that he assumed a mind with nothing to offer would be echoing and dark, like an empty toom with no lights. It's more like grey, rolling clouds without any sound at all, a vague pressure in his skull that blocks out everything else, even Cameron's voice.
But then there's a little light, bright and flickering like the flash of a camera amid the foggy swirls. He wonders as thought comes back to him if that's just how Cameron's mind always reads or if he feels it that way because he knows the little boy is supposed to be a little camera. Hollister blinks once, twice, very groggily, and winces at the overhead lights while his eyes focus again.
"…I did it again, didn't I?" he asks hoarsely.

Cameron keeps a hold of Hollister's wrist, as if worried that his guardian will drift off again without Cameron to anchor him to reality.
"You were asleep without being asleep," he says quietly. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Hollister lies with a smile, patting Cameron's shoulder. "Sorry about that." Stiffly, slowly, he gets back to his feet without making any move to shake off Cameron's grasp or return to the topic of his little ward's powers. He adds, "Let's take care of the shopping, huh? I'm kinda hungry."
Of course, all his medication is back at the house, too, and he can feel the headache coming on.

"It is okay. You are awake now." Cameron gives Hollister a comforting pat on the wrist. "You stay with the cart, I will get the food."
And he will stay within a several meter radius of the cart while he does so, so he can keep an eye on Hollister. Somebody has to look after him, after all!
OOC: Did we want to wrap or keep on?

OOC: Work toward a wrap/fade is good with me, but did we still want Cameron to check out that flyer on the way out?
Hollister makes awkward noises of protest as Cameron hurries about on the shopping. He only has a bit of a headache! He can still help!
But then Cameron seems to have it all well in hand and finally, he just sighs a resigned sigh and gives his young charge a rueful sort of smile once they're on their way to the check lanes. The beep of the scanners doesn't do wonderful things for his head, but there isn't much he can do about that.

OOC: Sure!
Luckily, they don't have many items to buy or scan, and so they're quickly on their way out of the hubbub of the supermarket. He pauses as they pass the martial arts flyer again, and looks up at Hollister, pointing at it.
"Can we go there?"

Uncertain, Hollister peers at the flyer. He takes especial note of the address; that isn't a great part of town. But self-defence classes might be good for Cameron. Hollister might worry a little less about him when he's away from his older 'brother' – but only a little bit – and surely Cameron will learn some discipline.
Hollister is largely too enervated to think hard on the matter right now, so he smiles and nods.
"We'll… look at it," he says before stowing the cart in the corral by the door and taking their stunning haul of two bags in hand. Then he pauses, thinking. Then he settles with one knee on the pavement and looks over his shoulder at Cameron. "Hop on." He may have a blooming headache, but he already knows he'll feel a little better just pretending it isn't there. And a great way to not think about it is giving piggyback rides, obviously.

"Okay," he says, looking pleased.
Cameron climbs aboard without hesitation, still very used to getting rides from people larger than himself. Once firmly seated on Hollister's back, he softly pets his guardian's hair a few times in reassurance. "For now it is time for orange chicken."

"Right." Hollister chuckles and makes a beeline for the van.
OOC: Fade?
