Erm, I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, and after looking through the forums and reading through the FAQ again, I can't seem to find a thread or answer that addressed this particular issue.
Would anybody (read: The admins) Take issue with me if I wanted to play the Deaths Head character that appeared in the Transformers series?
I understand the issue in that he isn't actually a transformer, and has appeared in other continuities, and as such I thought I'd ask before applying for him.
He would fit under G1 Marvel comic, if he is allowed.

It's on the Characters page of the wiki. Quote: The only characters available to players at this time are Transformers and attached characters (*master partners). However, you can play a Transformer from any series and from up and down the timeline of the series that you pulled from, or an original character from up and down the timeline of any series. As Death's Head is not a Transformer, he's not allowed, similar to the way the Go-Bots that pretended to be Transformers are not allowed (because they're still not Transformers, just transforming robots). We do appreciate the question, though. Now, as admin to player, do you feel it would be helpful if we added it to the FAQ in addition to the Characters page? If so, we'll be glad to do so (and we appreciate you taking the time to read through the thing).

I personally think it would be useful, as I'm sure there are more characters who aren't themselves transformers, but do appear in the allowed continuities, and as such may be a sticking point.
Also, my unfortunate lack of knowledge about the transformers universe restricts me from playing most of the already existing transformers, otherwise I'd already be doing so.
As such, I suppose submitting another fan made char. Eye-Fire is a nice character to play, but it'd be nice to be able to freelance.

Well, things like toy-only or minimally developed characters are also options. Toy-only characters can be particularly useful, as they already have a nitch to fit into in canon, and you have a tech spec, but how you expand on it is all up to you.
As a note, our game really isn't set up to handle neutrals very well (nor do we really ever intend it to be), so that characters who aren't really part of a specific function tend to spend long periods of times not in scenes (examples that we have now are Shrapnel and Screwdriver). As for characters who spend a lot of time switching sides... well, eventually both sides are liable to not want to put up with that anymore.
But yeah, another OC is certainly a possibility.

I never said anything about neutral. It'd just give me the chance to A) Play another character, and B) play someone who won't necessarily kow tow to his adopted factions leader.

Aaaah! All right. Thanks for the clarification. No problem (and completely understandable). Anyway, as I said, in addition to OCs, toy-only or single-appearance characters can provide nice chances for development. Not that we mind good OCs, either!

Most of the bounty-hunters I listed are toy-only, actually, or did very little in canon.

Writing up an OC currently.
How does the name "Sell Sword" sound to you?
