I figure the ground crew is most likely to be harassed, and we're slowest anyway, so we might as well stay there. Fleetwind, Spinister & Needlenose were also arguing with the jets, yes?
OTOH, the Autobots have recalled the jets, so we may not have much more than parting shots from them.

Probably not, no. Fleetwind and Needlenose certainly need to stay, because there's been an attack made against them that they've got to respond to. But those guys should probably be out of the thread shortly.
Folks who know they have no more interaction should certainly feel free to move on. I'm mostly leaving it up to individual preference, though. Outside of getting Skystrike where she can pick up our new arrivals.

Related, but if everyone just moves from the Retreat thread to the Survey thread and stays there, we've got the same problem in a different place. It makes sense to move to the Survey thread initially, but we'll want to break things up as soon as possible. Maybe send one group off to explore the mine, one group stays in the town, one group explores the area, and someone sticks around to bring BA and EF up to date when they return? I'm not going to dictate who goes where or anything. That's up to how RP plays out and what you guys prefer; I'm just throwing up suggestions.
Also, we can probably slide pretty quickly from the town survey to the Interim period, where you folks can start arranging the scenes that you wanted to do from that list as you see fit.

Shortround's staying in the town first chance he gets due to entirely canon reasons

I gathered! I talked to Emirate Xaaron, and he thinks the town might have a gift shop with little digger toys in it. Because EVERY place has a gift shop.

Hell has a gift shop. (Hell, like the British Museum, requires you to go through the gift shop to get to the exit.)
