This will likely get moved to the wiki before too long.
Over the years, the Transformers series has seen many iterations in many different media, and consequently has received a number of different artistic interpretations. G1 probably has the widest range of styles, from the original cartoon models to the multiple different artistic handlings of G1 Marvel to the more modern Dreamwave and IDW interpretations. Meanwhile, other series have existed in anime, CGI, or even live action with ultra-realistic CGI model forms, and we shall soon see the introduction of a new, highly stylistic re-interpretation of Transformers in the form of the Cartoon Network Animated series.
With this in mind, it is important to note that for the purposes of Deadzone, everyone exists in more or less the same 'style.' Granted, characters from later series will have more complex (and often closer to toy model transformations), the movie characters still don't look like they've got on enough armor to the rest of the Transformers, and so forth. However, any differences that are due strictly to artistic interpretation simply do not exist in the minds of the characters. Consistently different colors (see cartoon Kup vs. G1 Marvel Kup) might, but not artistic interpretation.
G1 provides a good reference example in this case, as they come in so many forms. If we were to take the G1 cartoon Starscream and the G1 Dreamwave Starscream and put him in the same room, the other characters would not be able to tell them apart. They should be assumed to be rendered in the same 'style,' and since they're both G1 Starscreams with the same color scheme and alt mode, they would look identical.
Another example can be made with the human characters of the various series. We do not allow for the application of human characters, but let us say we put the G1 US Witwickys in the same room as Armada Alexis. Alexis would not appear to Daniel, Spike, and Carly as a bizarre, large eyed, small nose-and-mouthed mutant freak. She would look like a young human girl.
So what's the default 'style' of Deadzone? We don't have one. Pick whatever you want. Imagine everyone in G1 cartoon style models, or CGI, or toys, or anime, or, heck, Li'l Formers. Whatever works for you. Just remember that for the purposes of the game, all the characters are reinterpreted in that 'style,' and so we shouldn't have any G1 cartoon characters commenting on how 'fat' the Dreamwave guys look, or how distorted the Cartoon Network guys look. From the perspective of the characters, it's all the same.
