Advanced internal self-repair systems have been part of the Transformers continuity from the very beginning. The G1 Marvel comic books made regular mention of the characters' self-repair systems. Therefore, it is a default assumption that all Transformers from all realities have some level of internal healing. There are limits to these abilities in all cases - situations where damage is bad enough that it requires an outside technician, or where leaving it to the internal systems would take so long that it's more practical for the mechanoid to simply submit themselves to repairs.
We are well aware that the movie Transformers are listed as having 'molecular self-regenerating armor.' However, it is also reminded that most of the source material on the movie Transformers was written to compare them with terrestial machines, not with other Transformers. Movie Transformers do not have self-healing abilities that are significantly better than the internal repair systems of any other series' Transformer. After all, the existance of Ratchet in their universe shows that they, too, have need of repair technicians, and Bumblebee's vocal capacitor did not repair itself even over the course of decades.
In short, all Transformers have some form of slow-acting internal self-repair or regeneration systems, and coming from a series that provides a fancier technobabble name for it does not make the system itself significantly faster or more effective.
As a side effect, this also means that a movie mechanoid's molecular self-regenerating armor need not be mentioned in the Special Abilities section of their application.
