Needlenose to Starscream, Shockwave, and Spinister

[Needlenose]

Needlenose makes a report to the three "S" dudes that outrank him.

//Lords Starscream and Shockwave, Needlenose reporting from patrol with Duskwing. The coastal city to the northwest of base, the one Jetstorm discovered, is under attack. Looks like robots, about our size, and they've got aircraft, but the dark is making it difficult to identify specifics. Spinister has commanded that we get a guage at numbers and strenth, then get out. Am attempting the first portion of that now.//

Needlenose, for his part, really hates being pulled away from a potential kill, but at first guess, with the numbers it looks like he may be dealing with, the one with the most potential to be killed is Needlenose.

//Acknowledged. Continue as Spinister ordered and report back as soon as you are able.//

[Needlenose]

//Slingshot, confirmed. Skyblast, confirmed. Several others not yet identified. And... oh god, I think that's Prime who just took off part of my tailfin.//

//Definitely Autobots, numbers uncertain... looks like only a handful of others. They know we're here, and I am pulling out.//

[Spinister]

Spinister is worried. For one thing, Needlenose got shot by a Prime! It wouldn't be like Spinister to show concern over that, however.

His other issue, he voices, //Their jets, maybe, but I find it hard to think they could get a troop movement of their groundpounders past us withot notice. Any sight of Skyfire or Omega Supreme?//

The random burning also seems peculiar.

//Not so fa- ah! Just spotted Skyfire take to the air from what looks to be the government district. Looks like he's accompanied by... Thundercracker?!// Needlenose's voice turns utterly baffled as he says the name. //And Skyblast just called me 'copper'! Something's very strange is goin- Aaah!//

There is a brief pause as Shockwave considers Needlenose's reports.

//Their actions...go entirely against type. Disengage. If you can shake their fliers and still find a vantage point from which to observe, do so. If not return to base, but watch for tails. If these are known foes they already know the location of our base. If not...let us not make things easy for them.//

[Needlenose]

Needlenose manages to resist the urge to respond with, "No, really?!" to Shockwave's 'entirely against type' observation. Yay, Needlenose! Instead, he just replies with, //Got it, sir.//
