This has come up before, but I have some more concrete information available now.
A few details about the camp I am proposing first:
It's a private campground with cabins, each cabin furnished with multiple bunks and mattresses. Nothing fancy, but you won't be sleeping on a concrete floor unless you want to, and no need to tent it if you don't want to. The camp can comfortably hold over 100 people, comes equipped with its own mess hall - complete with a full kitchen an a huge walk in cooler for food storage - a large fire pit just outside the mess hall building - makes for awesome nightly gathering capfires - a private swimming pool - and not a pond, but an actual constructed, chlorinated pool - heated showers, and flushing toilets. This is as rough or as cushy an experience as you want it. This private campground is situated in the midst of a lareg state park, offering all the usual hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and other assorted typical camp type activities one would want. Additional activities can be dreamed up and arranged upon request, including day trips into St. Louis forstupidityfun.
Additional info: This camp ground is within 1.5 hours (on a bad day) of Lambert St. Louis airport. If you want to drive, maps will be provided. If you want to fly, a shuttle can be arranged.
Also, unless anyone has any objections, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, significant others, orfresh blood close friends who share our interests would also be welcome.
Now for the questions:
First, would you be willing to kick in up to no more than $10 a day for up to 7 days of camping in a private campground such as this, where we need not censor ourselves, or be quiet for the other campers once the sun falls?
If not, how much would you be willing to pay to help make this happen?
Finally, I need blocks of dates, anytime between the first of April and the last of October, up to 7 consecutive days, that work best for your schedule. if anytime would work best, just put "anytime" with a notation on when will NOT work for you.
The sooner I can collect this info, the better, as if we want to attempt this this year, I need to get the paperwork in ASAP.
Thanks all! I really hope we can pull this off!
