Um, longtime, random forum stalker here to say how much I absolutely adore this board. If this isn't allowed, I'm terribly sorry for it, and feel free to delete it. I just thought I'd take advantage of the "praise" username, since it was there, and totally believe that credit ought to be given where it's due. But yeah, I have absolutely no idea how many times this place has kept me up at night, especially when I only meant to check one thread and suddenly find myself with twelve, leaving me cursing the human body's need for sleep because it keeps me from reading more. I swear, it's like TV Tropes in rp form (heck, I have eight tabs open as I'm writing this, right now).
All of the writing, and I do mean all of it is so staggeringly, jaw-droppingly fantastic. This isn't a great Transformers board, it's firstly a board that features wonderful writing that happens to be about Transformers. It completely stands on its own. Actually, I have no idea how the forum is still standing, it should have collapsed a hundred times under the weight of your guys' collective awesome, I swear. I don't know how many times it's had me laughing out loud, on-edge, or seriously consider things when it dips into more philosophical waters. This place is like thirty one flavours of awesome.
Everybody completely hits the core of their characters, while often bringing new, fun, interesting things to the table with them. Seriously. Shout-outs to all of you, whether you're playing a canon character faithfully, while exploring all sorts of avenues so as to practically transcend them, playing a character who had little air/comic/media time and manage to flesh them out beautifully, or playing a character who had next to no characterization, save for perhaps a tech spec, and shaping them into something fun and unexpected. Shout-outs to the OC's, too. I love great OC's, and it's wonderful to see them be written with as much depth as any other character, as well as being special and unique without being ~*special*~ and ~*unique*~.
I would be lying if I said that I didn't squee every time I saw one of my personal favourites show up, but almost immediately, it just wasn't as simple as that anymore, and I started to fall in love with characters left and right. It's really difficult not to, they're so well-written, and there is such an incredible variety of them. I have a thing for technical jargon, and how Perceptor manages to keep it up aaaaaaaaall the time in a way that isn't distracting or disturbs the flow of the prose is absolutely mind-boggling. On the flip-side, not-so-intelligent characters like Duskwing are every bit as engaging and memorable. Seriously, I am this || close to just printing a ton of threads and sticking them in my binder to read them. Because I am a dork like that.
Tl;dr: So, um, yeah, though I'm being absolutely redundant in saying so, keep up the awesome work! Sorry for blahblahblahing. Again, I apologize if this wasn't allowed and/or I've somehow upset somebody in doing so.
