So Rodimus Prime is basically suggesting rookies that cycle through different units in order to gain experience? Emirate Xaaron doesn't feel bad about this idea, even if Rodimus Prime does! He forced his Wreckers to take along three freshly created rookies along with them on Operation: Volcano, and the plan didn't go wrong for that detail. Also, comedy demands that, Emirate Xaaron, himself being useless in combat, will someday get cycled into a Wrecker mission to get some combat experience and will have to take orders from Springer. Emirate Xaaron agrees, "Several realities seem to generate Transformers who aren't specialised at the moment of creation, so cycling them through Intelligence and Medical training, in addition to combat training, might be a good way of finding their aptitudes. Long before this, Clipper was saying she wanted more duties, and more recently, Mirage asked if he might have permission to continue training one of the Dinobots in the rudiments of stealth. He does grimace at Springer's assertion that they probably won't run into anything that requires Wreckers, and he deadpans, "Well, bother. We're doomed now." Rodimus Prime, Emirate Xaaron has told you about Ultra Magnus before!

Rodimus sighs and covers his face with his right hand as Springer declares that there probably won't be anything that requries Wreckers. He murmurs, "Springer, why'd you have to go and say that?"
Also, the demands of comedy are awesome and should be heeded.
Rodimus tilts his head and his expression turns distant. Finally, he reports, "Update on the situation on planet. Grimlock has Mirage and his friend and is heading to one of the safehouses." He makes a face. "Luckily, that one has a week to week lease, because it's going to be worthless to us after this. Anyway, I'm sending Bambi there to help with repairs. She's got a sharp sense enough sense of smell that she might be able to detect the mimic they're dealing with, anyway."
He doesn't really have anything else to add on the subject of teachers, however, because they seem to have everything covered there.
Rodimus is at the mercy of inconsistant memory. Not his own, of course, but the poor memory of a mysterious puppetmaster.

Pimptastic Springer may be, but he lacks genre-savvyness. He looks at both and shrugs. "What?"
Springer smirks at Xaaron, chuckling even - "And find out which places they shouldn't ever be allowed to help in, too."
He turns to Rodimus, frowning at the development. "Hope he can't mimic scents..."

"Nevermind," Emirate Xaaron grumbles. Discussing bad luck is bound to bring it down, based off the old principle that observing something changes its nature.
"Oh, I know who I'm never sending on diplomatic duty," he then remarks casually, smirking.
Emirate Xaaron listens more seriously as Rodimus Prime gives the report. "We could only be so fortunate, so of course... we won't be." He glares mildly at Springer, as if suggesting that the mimic can copy scents will make it true.

Rodimus uses his right hand to prop up his head in a way that the hand partially obscures his face, like he's attempting to hide the fact that he's laughing and failing miserably.
(He really doesn't care if anyone notices.)
OOC: Uhm, that's it. Rodimus is just generally reacting this round. Sorry.

Springer looks at Xaaron, putting on his best fake 'hurt' face. Time to try this chip out for realsies.
"Aw, Emirate, I'm hurt!" Springer says, turning the cheese up by by letting his shoulders droop, putting his hands out in a palms-up motion. "Mirage taught me well, I can do better this time. Granted, with my last attempt, the only way to go is up..."

Emirate Xaaron's optics glitter, and he rubs his chin, looking quite pleased, cagey old buzzard that he is. He leans forward and remarks, sounding quite satisfied, "Oh, you have learned, haven't you? But tsk, so defensive. I didn't name names, and you automatically assumed I meant you and not, oh, Swerve? The Dinobots? Omega Supreme? Word of advice, if you're not sure a shot's aimed at you, don't let yourself be hurt by it, hmm?"
Will Springer get the double-meaning there?

As Springer claims that Mirage taught him well, the Boy Prime looks more than a little doubtful. He smirks. "Must have really picked up after I left, then." Then he clears his throat and adds, "Although sometimes Mirage could use a little training on 'diplomacy' himself." Because Rodimus totally has room to talk here.
He gives Xaaron a somewhat curious glance when he talks about shots and aim. Though his humor remains good, somewhat thoughtful lines pull at the corners of his lips now.

Springer shoots a wry smirk at Xaaron. "Oh, come now - given the trouble you went through to have Mirage train just me, I would think you were talking about me to at least some degree..."
Springer raises a brow in Rodimus' direction. "You could definitely say that again," says Mister-He-Who-Chokes-His-Teacher-and-Uppercuts-His-Superiors. Get that plank out of your face before you go after the splinter in Mirage's, Springer.
Though his expression turns a bit more serious at the last bit. "Depends on the circumstances surrounding said bullet." If it's intended for someone Springer's charged with protecting, then his responsibility may involve taking said bullet.

"I think people keep forgetting that Mirage isn't really a soldier." Emirate Xaaron knows that he keeps making that mistake, himself. "He's young," everyone is young to Emirate Xaaron, "and new to war. Used to privilege."
"If I believed Mirage's training had worked, I wouldn't be meaning you, though, would I?" Emirate Xaaron parries, still apparently in quite good humour. "Have a healthy self-esteem, but not everything needs to be about you, Springer."
His expression turns a little odd at Springer's answer about the bullet. Emirate Xaaron is used to people taking hits for him, in specific, but it doesn't mean he likes it. He hates it. Emirate Xaaron admits guardedly, "Everything in a context, however."

Rodimus offers Springer a grin at the Triple-changer's brow-quirk. "Sure, I can say that again, but I'm not feeling the need to just now. Maybe later."
As Xaaron points out Mirage's newness, Rodimus rubs the bridge of his nose and sighs. "I... you're right, I do keep forgetting that. But none of that really justifies behaving like a, well, jerk." Yes, Rodimus likes Mirage. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't think Mirage is often a jerk.

Springer offers a faint shrug. "Fair enough, Emirate. Just how I felt about the context, but moving on..." He then turns to Rodimus, crossing his arms lightly. "Should prove interesting when he gets cycled into my division, then..."

Emirate Xaaron looks mildly impressed when Springer actually drops the issue instead of fighting until the end. Springer doesn't even take a pot shot at Mirage after Rodimus Prime does.
...though maybe Springer is actually being... subtle? Waiting for Mirage to have an 'interesting' time in Springer's division? Emirate Xaaron boggles and squints at Springer suspiciously.
He smiles and rubs his chin, musing wryly, "This will either promote team work or homicide. Perhaps both."
OOC: Seems like we're headed toward fade?

Rodimus, also, gives Springer a faintly suspicious look. There is definitely something a bit... different from him. Maybe that training has been helping, after all?
He laughs at Xaaron's comment, then shrugs. "Should be fun to watch, anyway," he says cheerfully.
OOC: Sure, fade sounds good.

Springer chuckles at Xaaron - "In the case of what I tend to do, it'd be homicidal teamwork, but that's a whole other beast..."
Next thing you know, Springer will stand around in a washrack wearing nothing but a towel selling plating wax to Pz-Zazzians...

OOC: Fade away!
