OOC: Day 17, after Brigadoomed.
Is Rodimus up to something? Oh, heck yes. On his way out of the city, a quick radio back to the Event Horizon has yielded a map of the route, and they're just coming on the start of a forested section of hills that Rodimus hopes to use to lose the Decepticons.
// I may need you to act as a decoy to lead them away, Oracle - they'd expect you to try and meet up with us later. //
Before he gets far enough into the wilderness to even think of trying to enact his plan, however, a noise comes from up ahead. From just around a turn in the forest-sided, hilly road, a man's voice can be heard shouting, "Please, no! I'll give you anything but that! My wife-"
"Your wife... is your problem," replies a slightly tinny, mechanical sounding voice. "My employer's artifact... is my problem."
OOC: Needlenose won't be posting this round.

Trailing along after Rodimus in the air, Oracle is distinctly miffed at those that are currently sharing the airspace with her. Why couldn't there have been another flying Autobot along? She's feeling a bit outnumbered up here.
//If you need me to do that, just let me know when.// Not her favorite plan, but she can see how it would be good to hopefully at least split the Decepticons with them up if they can't be ditched.
When the shouting starts, she's tempted to pull ahead and see what's going on, but the contents of the raised voices give a pretty good idea of what might be happening there. So she restrains her curiosity and waits. It sounds like that's possibly (probably?) Brigadoomed, but they'll be coming around the curve to him soon enough. She will on the other hand, feel a bit silly if he gets shot or something before they do get there.
She's also keeps a look out for the drone that followed them. That thing was far too interested in their progress. Well, the second drone that followed them, as this seemed to be a tag team event. The one from the house didn't join them but it's twin sure found them fast.
Drone details from mod.

Bambi is still in dinosaur mode, and she has her head pressed to the wall inside Rodimus Prime. Hearing things through walls is kind of a pain, but it's better than nothing.
Her optics narrow, and she mutters, "Sound like trouble."

If the futuristic Winnebago is hoping to lose the futuristic Hummer in the woods, then he has another thing coming, especially with all the futuristic money on the line.
Swindle accelerates around the corner, deploying his scatter blaster from his roof. As soon as he sees the people having the conversation, he'll shoot whoever (or whatever) looks like they have the tinniest, most mechanical voice.
//Found 'em,// he broadcasts over the Decepticon band.

Cannonball pulls up near Swindle, calling out "Cannonball, transform!" unfolding into a dramatic open-legs pose. His gun-arm is pointed in the general direction of their targets, but not aimed at anyone specific.
Yet.
He's got a deviously leering grin going on, though. "Gentlemen, I do believe you 'ave something we're lookin' for..."

Skystrike isn’t exactly happy about the sky being occupied by the opposition either. She isn’t being menacing at the moment, but she isn’t exactly being friendly either. Mostly, the berkut is just pretending Oracle didn’t exist outside of being a potential threat.
She dutifully keeps track of the drones too, while scanning for any other potential dangers or nuisances in the meantime ( mostly meaning the other Autobots).
The pleading cries came as no surprise really, especially considering the situation so far. Even less surprising was the sound of gunshots as Swindle starts a fray. Skystrike rises and transforms, powering up her guns. She takes a quick series of scans, taking in the positions of all the targets she could see and sending their positions to the rest of the Decepticons.

Shockwave has been flying, but rather than up with the others, he has kept pace on his antigravs with the ground vehicles. He prefers to keep the Prime in his sights. Shockwave cannot, of course, fly on antirgavs as fast as some of the ground vehicles can drive, but he certainly can keep up.
The disturbance up head may well prove enlightening. If that is the doctor- and not a trap- then their mission could be over and done with.
Except for destroying these Autobots, of course.
Hrm. The pirate and the conman are taking point. Shockwave touches down lightly just before the bend of the road and shrugs one shoulder. If it is a trap, then he shall let them be foolishly caught within it. If it is not, and they damage the prize, then Shockwave will show them the error of acting so rashly.
Botanica nods at Bambi and makes ready for what will certainly be a fast exit from Rodimus's trailer.
The drone darts down between the trees.
OOC: Botanica is not posting this round.

// Plan's changed, Oracle. Situation down here,// he says to the Autobots over the radio. // And yeah, Bambi, trouble's one way of putting it... though it might well be our lucky break.// Provided they can do something about the Decepticons. Swindle turns the corner with guns blazing, and will find that the person with the tinny voice is a robot with some resemblance to the Tin Woodsman from Wizard of Oz wearing a trench coat. He immediately dives for the ground and covers his head, exclaiming, "What th- and who are these intruders suppo- never mind, get them!" he shouts, pointing at Swindle and the other arriving Transformers. Several of his men point their laser tommy guns at the newcomers and start firing. Rodimus turns the corner not far behind them, but Botanica need not worry about an over-hasty unboarding - while his front section and legs continue to roll forward to allow him to transform, his trailer remains, though it does unfold, revealing the siege turret inside (not to mention the passengers). The large, black gun rotates to aim in the direction that the shots are coming from, even as several graze his thick armor, leaving scorch marks and at one point chipping off a corner, but otherwise doing no discernible damage. He starts with a smirk, all cocky youth, saying, "Let me suggest you sur... rend..." and then he trails off, optics going wide, face going blank. "It's here..." he murmurs, optics moving towards a blue robot (or perhaps a cyborg - he looks like he could go either way) with a triangular head and large, folded back wings wearing a lab coat and holding a crate, one who has taken the distraction provided by the Transformers' arrival to make a break for his jeep-like vehicle.

Needlenose, in response to the noise and action going on below, dives in towards the others, pulling up in time to transform and land on his feet, Zigzag and Sunbeam drawn. He glances back towards Shockwave and beams. "So who do you want leveled, Lord Shockwave?"
And then he notices the Prime, and he asks, tone suddenly very, very wary. "Uhm... why is he just standing there like that?"

OOC: Skipping Oracle due to timeout. Hope her player is okay!
Bambi announces to the Autobots and Maximal, //Him robot with triangle head - him Dr. Brigadoon,// but she's careful not to look at him more than glancingly or single him out. The Decepticons will probably figure it out, but it won't be her fault. At Rodimus's sudden spazzing, she asks, //What here? Egg here?//
Rodimus had better not be spazzing over his favourite celebrity being here or something. Bambi is not in a good mood!
And she feels kind of dizzy. The Dinobot leans against one of the trailer-base's little walls to steady herself.

Oracle sees there is a situation now, but for the moment she opts to ignore it. Charging in guns blazing already seems to be well enough covered, she'll hang back until she's got a better idea of the players involved down there.
Like the fact that Brigadoon seem to be running off with a crate, if Bambi's identification is correct.
Moving down to a lower altitude but not landing yet, she hopes Rodimus isn't too stunned to answer a radio call. //You want to let Brigadoom get away, and then follow him? If the 'Cons haven't noticed him yet, we probably shouldn't encourage them to.// Of course if they do notice Brigadoom, Oracle is hopefully in a good position to intervene.

Swindle catches some laser blasts across his front grille and windshield. Ouch! Those are going to leave marks. "Normally, I'd ask if we could come to some sort of agreement and resolve this peacefully," he says, skidding to a stop and transforming to robot mode with a whirl of parts. "But you've already started shooting and I have some misplaced aggression I need to work off," he finishes, deploying all his weapons and mods, including his energy shield. Your move, punks. But wait, why is Rodimus Prime just standing there? And Needlenose hasn't started killing people yet, that's very unusual. The arms dealer follows the Autobot's gaze, spotting the blue mechanoid with the crate making a run for it. //Cannonball, stop the guy with the crate! I'll cover you!//

//Aye-aye, Swindle!// Cannonball's optic band glows a bit brighter for a moment as he grins, dashing forward via anti-gravs. He gets peppered with some shots, holes scored in his paint and outer armor, but nothing disabling. "Gonna 'ave to do better than that, lads!"
Once he gets through the mooks, Cannonball swings around, and aims his gun-arm, unloading a volley of laser fire at the jeep, reducing the nearest tire to a pile of scrap. He slows to a stop as his swing-around brings him into Brigadoon's line of sight. He's a fair bit in front of the Jeep, though. "That thing seems to bring you all sort o' unsavory attention. I'll be more'n 'appy to take it off yer 'ands..."

OOC: Disabling of the Jeep done with scenemod permission.

Optics narrowing, Skystrike distantly notes that the drone had disappeared off her sensors. She had lost track of it when the shooting at started though. Sparing a brief glance around to see if she could spot it, the blue seeker instead spots her counterpart descending.
A dark scowl flickers over her face but she maintains her position, moving one shoulder gun to point down at Oracle’s pale form and powering it up. Their objective had been reached, and if she was correct, this was the moment to get rid of the Autobots and obtain their goal. The others should have any grounded threats covered.

"So it seem," Shockwave says in response to Rodimus, at the same time firing his canon at the the now-exposed weapon in Rodimus's trailer. Yes, this also puts the Prime's passengers in danger, but Shockwave's shot is actually carefully aimed. It is not a shot meant to destroy, but to disable, frying the circuitry and melting connectors so that the weapon will require actual repair.
//If the egg is damaged, I will have all your heads on my wall.// Shockwave radios to the Decepticons, //Do what you will to the Autobots.//
