Ow, ow, ow, those hammer strikes hurt! "Bestial wench, you wanna 'ammer, I'll show you 'ow it's done!" Cannonball deploys his hammer attachment for his gun-arm, and swats one strike away! Enough time for him to deploy anti-gravs and move out of melee reach in the air for the time being. Just in time to filter his optics for Sunbeam's blast, too!
He glances around, ignoring the Prime's barbs...wait, where's Brigadoon? Where's the egg? He broadcasts on 'Con frequency: //One of you buggers better 'ave that egg, or we'd best clear these fools out fast, 'cause Brigadoon's bleedin' disappeared!//
Clearing out these guys should start with Prime. However, this ankle-smasher is rather distracting, so time to take her out first. "Cyber Key POWER!" he bellows, and the familiar blue hand of God key flies down and plugs into Cannonball. What follows is the familiar strange sensation...and something more. It doesn't go away as fast as normal.
Cannonball drops to the ground, clutching at his head like someone having a dizzy spell, and a blue glow envelops him, changing his paint colors - he turns white, gold, green, silver and copper, with red optic band and sirens. Unfortunately, no-one there will recognize God Neptune's colorscheme. Amid the usual disorienting feeling that still isn't going away, Cannonball feels an urge to protect the egg. He stands there, mumbling about it as the glow fades and the disorientation with it.

Slaggit, the egg was gone. At least it was out of the way of any stray blasts now. And Oracle has shown no signs of having a long range weapon, which was really rather baffling considering she was a seeker.
So when Oracle rears back, Skystrike simply lifts an arm up and tries to blast the Autobot. Then of course, Needlenose fires Sunbeam at the moment and then Swindle tosses something that registered on her sensors as rather pointy. She kicks off the ground- hopefully out of the way of any stray shots and bladey deaths- before switching her optics back to it default setting to try and figure out the sudden trainwreck below.
//Suspect the green Autobot took the egg and its bearer. Current location, unknown. I’ll try and find them.// Which is of course the moment she turns and sees Cannonball on the ground.
//Prime isn’t the only one acting off.// Skystrike fires off a few shots at any Autobots she spots below before transforming darting off. //The pirate is glowing.//

"Did I say I would take it from the world, Rodimus?"
Take it apart and learn how to steal it is power, yes. Taking it away is not necessary.
Shockwave filters the blast from Sunbeam, and watches Rodimus as the Prime practically dances his way through the attacks upon his person. Frustrating.
//He worries over the egg. Perhaps there is some connection between it and the Matrix he carries,// he answers Needlenose, //Though that presents another... interesting set of theories. I-//
Then the Hand of God gives Cannonball an on-the-spot repaint.
//Interesting. All of you- refrain from using any Primus-given powers until this encounter is done.//
Shockwave's optic has never left the Prime. Shockwave is contemplating something which is not inherently logical, and it worries the gunformer. However, it seems the best course of action at the moment. The Prime must be dealt with, and there are no others here who can manage it.
Shockwave attempts to tackle Rodimus. The Prime can't dance past laser fire if he's pinned to the ground, and Shockwave can take a lot of damage before it becomes debilitating.
At some point, someone might point out to Shockwave that it is a constant of one reality for the faction leaders to tackle each other and enter into one-on-one melee combat while the rest of their forces stand and watch. If that ever happens, Shockwave will have something else to worry about.

"With all do respect, Doctor, no one person's life is more important than the life of an entire planet."
//Understood.//
Botanica keeps tabs on what is happening with the fight through the Psychic Plant Network. When Oracle makes her warning, Botanica tries to warn the doctor as well.
"Close your eyes! Now!"
However, she must admit that in his place, she would probably not listen.

Rodimus shuts off his optics in response to the warning from Oracle, letting him avoid Sunbeam's bright lights. Unfortunately, this leaves him vulnerable to Shockwave, who tackles him to the ground. Rodimus experiences a vague moment of déjà vu - didn't Hot Rod once defeat Shockwave this way? Luckily, Rodimus isn't one to be chased off by illogical tackling.
He attempts to pull his leg up between his opponent so as to kick Shockwave off of him. "Somehow, I doubt your motives in going after the thing are altruistic, considering you felt the need to shoot me in the back to get it!" he snarls.
Some might point out that Shockwave shot Rodimus in the wagon, not the back, but Rodimus's wagon actually is the back of his alternate mode.
When Cannonball gets his god-granted repaint, Rodimus's optics open wide and he makes a small noise, something that sounds a bit like, 'ngh!' This might not be so odd - after all, it is a pretty surprising event - except that between having shut off his optics and getting knocked over by Shockwave, there's no way he could have seen what happened to Cannonball.
Meanwhile, next to Botanica, Brigadoon protests, "But it's just a stone egg! An old sto- gaaah! My eyes!" Botanica's suspicion that he might not listen to her was dead on, and as Needlenose's flash blinds him, he instinctively drops the crate in order to fling his arms up and cover his eyes.
Meanwhile, the thugs watch the whole affair thoughtfully. Tin man says to the one nearest him, "Hmmm. Have you noticed that the good Doctor is no longer on the field of battle?"

Bambi stares as Cannonball mysteriously changes his colour scheme and sputters, "What? You pirate chameleon?"
While Cannonball is busy getting a new look, she surveys the battlefield again. What to do now... oh yeah, Botanica gave her coordinates. She should go check those out.
Bambi sprints off to that location, hammer tucked back over her shoulder, ready to swing. At Oracle's warning, she shuts off her optics, but she keeps running - hearing and scent are enough.

Oracle doesn't quite voice the expletive that comes to mind as she finds herself the focus of way too much hostile attention. Shaking off the shock of the bright light, she spins out of the way of Needlenose's shot as she tries to catch the spinning disk Swindle threw at her, and return it to sender. If she can't manage to do that, she'll settle for the bladey thing embedding itself in the ground, just in case it has a homing function.
That left Skystrike to deal with and she hissed slightly as her shot scored across one shoulder as Oracle launched herself after the other Seeker. It would be much easier to deal with her grounded, but more importantly if she was tangled up with Skystrike, she had someone else to haul in the way of any other incoming shots.
Canonnball would get an incredulous look if she wasn't already rather preoccupied. Spontaneously repainting yourself in battle seemed an odd habit to have.

OOC: Just a quick OOC post to keep things moving. I'm going to make my real Needlenose post when Rodimus is up again, to keep my characters together in the rotation, so don't wait on me!

Big purple optics take in the situation. Things just keep getting weirder and worse. //Cannonball, buddy, you okay? Now isn't the time to try and up your resale value with a new paint job!//
But there is one ray of sunshine (besides Sunbeam's, that is.) Shockwave is holding Rodimus Prime! They're both right there. One well-placed armor-piercing shot and all Swindle's problems will go right out the window. No more Shockwave giving him orders, no more Autobots all up in his business. Both sides will be dazed and confused, Swindle can use the opportunity to sneak off, buy a space cruiser, and be free! Maybe he'll even take Cannonball and Duskwing. Heck, maybe he'll take Spy Shot 6. But Needlenose is still right there, blast it! He'd never get away with it.
The flying cuisinart spins away wildly when Oracle smacks it, beeping in distress before righting itself and flying back toward her. The thing is smoking and it looks like one more good whack will put it out of commission. Swindle takes another shot at the Seeker with his scatter blaster for good measure, now that Skystrike is out of the way.
OOC: Multiple attacks okayed with Oracle-mun.

//N...not my bleedin' idea, Swindle!// Cannonball snaps. //Usin' that thing always felt weird compared to back home, but this never 'appened. Strange bleedin' urge to protect the egg along with the usual stuff. Seems to 'ave faded.//
For now, Cannonball heads off to find the egg. Was that a scream of pain he heard? Sounds like a good place to start. And the Dinobot wench is going that way, too! "Oi! I'm not done wit' you yet, lass!" Cannonball fires off a blast at Bambi from his shoulder-guns.

Was that a scream of terror she was hearing? She tries to pinpoint the source but her radar alerts to a more pressing problem: she was being followed. Unfortunate as she was really rather busy, but there was nothing for it.
Ailerons twisting against the air, Skystrike flips and brings her guns to bear, firing down at the other seeker. She isn’t sure exactly how the other had managed to escape the three way mess below but she does know her advantage was with the long range weapons and she’s sticking with that.

Shockwave tries to dig his hand hard into Rodimus's plating to avoid being immediately dislodged.
"Shot your wagon, yes," Shockwave says, voice low enough that only the Prime can hear, "But you might notice that I am not trying to kill you."
"You must live so long as he does. Unfortunately," he finishes before he is knocked back. Shockwave fires a shot at the Prime as he falls backwards.
//Skystrike. Can you spot the doctor and the plant witch?//
Remember that drone? It whips by Skystrike and dives into a copse of trees.

"Damnit!"
Botanica did, of course, close her eyes, but the doctor's screams make it clear that he didn't follow her advice. She looks quickly around the glade, hoping the doctor's cries didn't bring any unwelcome attention.
Her eyes narrow. Where did that drone come from? She watches it warily.
The drone watches the crate.
"Where are you supposed to meet the blackmailer?" she asks.

Needlenose is from one of those realities where the leaders are prone to tangling one-on-one (some times more than others), or else he might be very alarmed by Shockwave's behavior. Cannonball's change is bad enough. "Man, this is just getting better and better," he mutters, leaping into the air. //Gonna try to get a look at where the plant-lady got to - looks like Cannonball's moving in the right direction.//
The question is, do they trust Cannonball to be the one to handle it right now? It's a question that Needlenose would ask Shockwave except... he doesn't really trust Shockwave at the moment, either.
From his vantage point, however, he can spot something else of interest.
//My, my, my, looks like those thugs brought some heavy artillery with them, after all,// he observes casually as he spies the tin-man-ish robot pulling several large cases out of a van that had been parked just out of sight from the road. He transforms and dives for it. // These things are air to air, but I've still got a better chance of hitting than with Zigzag! // he explains as he fires a proton missile towards the van.

The blast that Shockwave fires hits Rodimus's left arm below the elbow, blowing off his pipes and a good portion of his armor and causing him to cry out in pain. "I can see that my condition isn't much of a concern, though!" And Rodimus has seen the sorts of things that Shockwave is capable where the only concern is 'not dead.' It's still not exactly a comfort.
"But you'd still just hand him the hearts and minds of the people on this world, as long as you get a benefit, huh?" he asks, switching his good hand out for his 'buzzsaw' as he springs to his feet, only to immediately dive for Shockwave himself, attempting to bring the saw down on Shockwave's gun-arm. Hit or miss, he continues.
"You can't tell me you don't see it, how these people have stumbled without their light, their world's soul. In the darkness, they spiral into chaos, and they keep finding him." He steps back for a moment, still crouched and ready to spring once more if need be, but the expression he turns on Shockwave, optics wide and so bright they appear almost white, pleads with the Decepticon Commander. "Shockwave, can't you tell? We have a chance to give them back their light!"
Brigadoon, still blind, starts feeling around for the crate. "Up the mountain. There's a temple, said to be one of the former resting places of the Egg. The resting place, even. The first one!" Slowly, he starts to regain his sight... just enough to see two blobs moving towards them from the field of battle. "What are those?!" he screams in fear.
Needlenose's missile hits true, causing the van to go up spectacularly. The thugs dive for the ground, covering their heads for protection - one catches fire as a bit of debris hits him, and he screams, rolling around on the ground to put himself out.
