Rook waits patiently, stretching and running diagnostics on his motor systems while he sizes up Scourge. He doubts that Scourge will be as fast or agile as he is, even when they're the same size, just by virtue of his heavier armor. The tanker is likely more skilled than he, but he does have a few tricks up his sleeve.

Rook is going to be very disappointed by Scourge's lack of clumsiness. Sure, Scourge is heavy, but he has combat reflexes and strong fast-twitch servos that give him explosive speed. Might as well expect a tiger to be klutzy. When Scourge's done, he takes a look at what, it seem to him, is a much taller Rook. "Hnn." OOC: deadzone.pbworks.com/w/page/26853059/Rook
What do you think is a fair scale-up of Rook? Strength, Toughness, and Armour might all get boosts, if he's bigger. Obviously his height. Fuel consumption probably becomes worse, but unless they marathon this, that shouldn't matter.
Scourge, for comparison, is a huge twink: deadzone.pbworks.com/w/page/17042586/Scourge

Scourge looks much different from this angle. Rook doesn't have to crane his neck to look him in the eye, which is nice. He was getting kinks in his hydraulic lines. The crow draws his rapier and salutes the tanker with it, bringing it up in front of his face then down to his side before dropping into a fencer's fighting stance. "On your guard, sir."
OOC: Say, Seeker-height, Average Strength, Average Toughness, Average Armor, Average Fuel Consumption? So yes, in all likelihood, Scourge will hand his aft to him on a silver platter.

Rook looks symmetrical. Not that he wasn't before. But a lot of the animal Predacons in Scourge's reality are just plain ugly. Go, Rook, for not being a huge headache-inducing eyesore.
Scourge will still try to beat the optic-lights out of Rook, of course.
"I always am," Scourge replies, adding, "Sword of Fury!" He takes his red blade in one hand and holds it out. The hilt's long enough for two-handing the sword, for extra power and control, but right now, Scourge feels like keeping his off hand free. He salutes Rook back, humouring Rook that much. A lot of swordfighting is about being patient and looking for an opening. Scourge is not patient; he makes his own openings. He charges Rook and tries to bring his blade under Rook's guard.

Rook looks well-groomed and superb, like he always does.
Rook is patient and he's watching Scourge carefully. Even so, the larger mech's speed takes him by surprise. He barely manages to slide out of the way of Scourge's charge. Clearly, this is not going to be easy.
The fact that Scourge tried to get under the guard of a smaller opponent tells Rook that he isn't used to fighting people smaller than himself. Either that or he's just testing. Whichever the case may be, he feints at the tanker's legs, slashing with his blade.

Scourge usually flings people smaller than he is bodily into a lake. That works pretty well, as long as they don't fly or swim well.
Rook is feinting low, Scourge sees which mean Rook is probably prepared to strike high, so what Scourge does is twist his body, minimizing his cross-section to avoid an easy windfall low stab, switches what hand he's holding his sword in, and tries to hit Rook on the other side.
This, as much as anything, should make it clear that Scourge doesn't fence.
But the one-handing a greatsword probably gave that away, too.

Scourge's actions make it clear to Rook not only that Scourge doesn't fence, but that he needs to act quickly or he's liable to lose limbs.
Scourge switching his sword from one hand to the other catches Rook off guard, and his blow strikes true, sinking into the crow's midsection in a shower of sparks. He stumbles backwards and clutches at the wound. He couldn't act quite quickly enough.
"We'll count that as win for you, then, shall we?" he gasps.

Scourge looks at the blow and shrugs, commenting self-reflectively, "I should have put more force behind that. You aren't dead. Want a reset and another go at it?"

Rook cycles his vents, breathing heavily as the simulated sensory input he's receiving tells him he's about to go into stasis lock. "A reset and another round would be just the thing, yes."

Scourge paces over to the controls and fiddles with them a bit. Suddenly, Rook will feel fresh as a daisy. Scourge lingers for a long moment, his back to Rook, wondering if Rook will attack him. He could accept either option, certainly - these have been friendly spars, thus far, with much more warning than normal combat.
On the other hand, they are what they are.

Rook already knows how to stab people in the back; he doesn't need any extra practice at it. He'd rather get better at the things he's not terribly good at, like sword-fighting, apparently.
The crow drops into a fighting stance, sword point facing Scourge. "Ready when you are."
OOC: Fade out?
