This is merely a suggestion based upon what I have seen on another board, I have no idea what has been discussed before and what may have been involved to get where we currently are.
I suggest a new folder where completed Applications are posted while they await their approval. The approval process itself going something like –
Each Admin member replies in the particular app thread with suggestions under an anonymous account.
Applicant reads replies, makes appropriate changes and posts that they have done so.
Repeat as necessary.
When any Admin can no longer see any changes they think are necessary, they give their Tick of Approval – threes ticks and App is approved.
Advantages: (numbers are guessed) each Admin spends half an hour at any time rather than all three needing to find one whole hour all at the same time. Other players can see plot ideas and say “Hey, I want to do that too” and then plotting occurs where shared interest is apparent. The ability to add pictures so we can better visualise the character (I’m a very visual person, I wont even consider applying for a character idea unless I can see something first – my loss really – amazing that I play a text based game) – pictures will not replace the character description – merely be added as well. Other people can see the personality I’m trying to roll play, since I’ve still got a lot to learn regarding roll play and writing.
Disadvantages: every flaw becomes public. OOC knowledge may slip into IC knowledge – E.g. My new OC has a hidden past they don’t wont to talk about but others can guess it more readily than they should.
Fully approved apps can be placed in new folder to appear in alphabetical order, thus we can see what personalities have already been done when looking to app a new character.
Everyone willing, I’d be happy to put Jawbreaker up to the process for testing.
