Day 26, Event Horizon Holodeck, Open
Starscream stood in the centre of a plain metallic grey room roughly 50 paces to aside. He remained perfectly still as a rocket powered axe cleaved him in two – top half and bottom – as Rev finished her drive-by. “Reset” she called to the AI and the projection of the Decepticon flickered, Starscream whole once more. One wall of the room was covered floor to roof in all manner of melee weapons, most of them generic samples of their kind but a few were trademarks of their owners like the holographic axe in her hands to the flaming sword still hanging in place.
Rev had decided she needed some training in melee combat and was trying to figure out what felt right. She really needed expert tuition – perfect practise makes perfect and all that.

Yeah, expert tuition is obviously what’s needed when you beat Starscream up in a sim fight. Good thing the jet was just standing still and not flying where ground fighters couldn’t actually reach them with melee weapons like real fliers annoyingly tend to do.
Farlane blinks, watching the jet disappear. “‘Am I interruptin’ something here?” Honestly, he’d been expecting someone; this was after all the sim room and it was probably used a lot by all sorts of peeps onboard. He just wasn’t expecting their new wheel-feet critter cleaving a jet in half with a wall full of pointy and sadistic looking armaments nearby.
He suspects anger issues here.
“... Right. I’ll just... go then,” the pink car says nervously after a moment, jerking a thumb towards the space behind him and moving to back out of the room with a cheerfully forced smile on his face.

“Hiya Farlane, nah you’re not interrupting anything”. Rev’s headwings angled up in good spirits when she saw the familiar pink ‘bot. Put her on a race track or give her a giant freaking Rocket Axe ™ and you could kiss the socially shy side of Rev goodbye. “Please stay, maybe you can even help me out. My whole time on the track, never had much call to pick up a melee weapon, anything more than a power wrench anyway, so you can say my ahh… skill level… is in last place.”
She swung the axe once more through the air before she rolled over to the wall and replaced the item in it’s niche. “I was trying to simply figure out what felt right and you know what? I don’t have a clue, but it is fun to learn” there was just a hint of husky cheekiness in her voice.
Her optics kept being drawn to the flaming sword but the whole flame bit just wasn’t her thing. Too ostentatious (like a Rocket Axe ™ wasn't).

“Melee? Honey, the closest thing I know t’ melee fightin’ s’ the kama sutra kind an’ I don’t think neither ‘em ‘Con or the higher ups would appreciate me tryin’ that,” Faralane snorts. The he takes a moment to look embarrassed and rubs his decorative chevron awkwardly. That came out all weird and to a person eying a flamey sword no less.
“... Which is t’ say I’m kinda sucky at it, t’ be honest. Not sure I can be much help. ” He leans on the doorframe, one hand on his hip. “You do know that you can program your opponents t’, like, move right? Or didja jus’ wanna work some grit outta the joints?”

“Yeah I can make him move and fight, I can make him run into the wall, punch himself in the head, heck if ya want I can get him to perform every position of the Kama Sutra with you until the power runs out.” Rev grinned underneath her mouthplate, socially shy yes, innocent not quite.
“Its more like this, I race okay with the hit and runs tactics, boom and zoom someone once called it, but I figured if I’m gonna pull my weight in this Autobot army I better learn some self defence too” She had tried just straight punching the Starscream sim, she hadn’t come out on top, apparently a seeker’s head was tougher than her hands. Hence the wall of pointy sticks incarnate. She rolled backwards on one wheel down the rack, “you want to try and learn together?”

“... Kinky.” Maybe his initial impression was correct after all. Huh. Albeit, it was holographic BDSM which was somewhat novel.
“If hit n’ run is what you do well then you should stick with it to be honest. Melee’s more of a hobby when everyone’s got guns,” Farlane shrugs. “Ain’t no harm in practicin’ though, I guess.” He’d been planning to come down here for some practice with his rifle but a chance to put Magnus’ teachings to use wasn’t too shabby either.

More than happy to go with the flow, Rev simply gave a little shrug “Shoot ‘em up it is so how ya want to play this, one vs. one? Two against and endless horde of drones? Turbo-foxes in a city scape?” The Sim computer was thoroughly programmed, almost disturbingly so in some areas.
She had yet to use her Cyber Key powered Plasma cannons since her arrival and was keen to make sure they were still in working order. The clean scan from medical only gave so much reassurance.
OOC: Can we use real weapons in the Holodeck?

“I like the cityscape idea, but turbofoxes are kinda scary. One a’ ‘em bit my hand off when I was still grounded, y’know.” He gestures to his dainty hand, jabbing a finger at wrist theatrically. “I was like, ‘whoa’ and then I was all, ‘ow’. ‘Course, our group baby sitter got super freaked out and we got a whole week a’ catching and leavin’ the bastard out in the wastes. They always came back too. Slaggin’ annoyin’ little buggers.”
“So how ‘bout a cityscape and drone combo? Easily level though,” Farlane adds quickly both hands raised. “I suck at melee as much I do at shootin’. Closest I ever got was a brief job as a pilot for some merc team. I just held it for a while, basically.” And everyone got their butts kicked and he was forced to fly the plane off at gun point by their target.
On the bright side, their target had been super sexy. A fact that had convinced Farlane that he definitely needed better prioritization protocols, but at least the date had been pleasant.
OOC: Yep! Although it being a sim means that they don't have any affects that last outside of the sim for the most part.

“Swish, just gimme a nano here” Rev worked with the sim comp for a few seconds, several cityscapes flashing up around the pair of Autobots before she settled on one she liked. Then she brought up about 30 drones randomly placed around the fake city, all neon orange, stupid as a brick, slow as one too, heavily armed but poor with the aim. “There we go. Computer, start sim”. Two laser pistols appeared in her hands from subspace as she looked to Farlane, headwings quirked in humour and energy in her voice, “your move Hun”

Farlane unsubspaces a standard Autobot rifle and slings it over his shoulder, doorwings flicking in the appearance of anxiousness. He could probably do this in the middle of a defrag and still ace it. How was he supposed to make rookie level interesting without completely acing it?
“Hun?” the pink car arches a brow at the other car with a light smirk. “That’s my line, hun.” He takes a moment to scan the city-scape before turning back to Rev.
“So what’s the goal? Person who takes out the most drones wins? Somethin’ else?”

“Yeah, first to 16 frags wins” Then Rev had a somewhat delicious though slightly unfair idea, “how about the winner gets to keep the line ‘Hun’?” The tone of her voice was pure cheekiness.
16 frags from 30 drones meant there was only one way to break a tie, that is if Rev even gave her comrade a chance, she would go easy on him but not too easy.

“Whoa, that’s a harsh ultimatum there,” he chuckles, leaning back on his heels. “You’re totally on, man.” Although if he lost, it’d be like trying to kick a bad habit. Well, he could always fall back on ‘honey’ or ‘love’, he supposes.
“... Soooo,” Farlane casually says, edging away from her. “I’ll just go over and start winnin’ this game, huh?” Then he transforms and speeds off after the nearest drone.

“Hope you got guns in that mode Hot Pink, coz you’re gonna need em”. Rev watched for a moment as Farlane sped away before she headed off quite content to stay in bot mode. Paired laser pistols at 200 clicks, she could hit and run damn fast.
She headed for the centre, intent to do an expanding spiral search pattern for her targets. She rounded one corner at speed to come face on to her first drone, a quick jump and spin and she was flying over the target with energy ripping out of her weapons tearing apart her victim. She landed back on her wheels all pure grace and kept moving.
OOC: And that’s the way we roll. Pull out the stops and go nuts on the action scenes.

“I got no alt mode guns at all, baby!” Farlane laughs. He never had alt-mode guns. Probably could’ve fit one or three somewhere but transforming and shooting was good enough when your primary job had been piloting.
Swerving around his first target he transforms once more and lands a few shots on the fellow before clambering up the nearest building and heaving himself up onto the roof. It was still shooting at him but the chances of being hit were pretty low, considering their current level.
Nonetheless a few more shaky shots and the drone is down. Farlane pauses before heading off. Can’t be looking too good, nope.

Farlane can look as good as he wants, Rev’s focus was only on improving her score. That’s how she had won the Mayhem Tunnel races, by putting all her focus into staying that far out front that her opponents literally couldn’t touch her.
She sped trough one intersection, he shear sped enough to evade the fire of two more drones down the side road. An easy left hand circuit brought her around to their afts and with pistols blazing and a grin on her hidden mouth, she brought them extinction. Another corner brought her to the wreckage delivered by Farlane’s own work and her smile turned inward, today was not a good day to be a drone.
