We know it's been ages on this one, but plots tend to move slowly around here, as you've no doubt noticed. Anyway, the re-aging plot is pretty flexible, location-wise. It can be adapted for Cybertron, Earth, or a random one-shot planet. Running it before whatever planet gets voted next will probably get to that sooner, at the cost of delaying our next "Major Stop" (both of which are also pretty long anticipated). Running it during could be interesting, but might make the stop in question seem too "cramped" plot-wise, while running it after may delay it too long for some people's taste. And so, instead, we leave it up to you guys. What do you think?
We ask that people with multiple alts only vote once, but feel free to discuss your preferences.

I think it might be all right before the next big stop. Kind of a break between the major locations.

I wish there was an option combining before and after, but I went with after 'cause I'm lazy.

I'm not sure what you mean, combining before and after? Would you mind explaining?

It's something that's been kicked around in chat for a long time, and re-aging may be a better description than de-aging.
We're loosely defining all Transformers as belonging to one of four 'age types': Child (examples: G1 Wheelie, Holi), Youth (example: Hot Rod), Adult (example: uhm... most Transformers, really), and Elder (examples: Kup, RotF Jetfire, even Nightbeat or Impactor, really). There are some borderline cases, but you get the idea. The re-aging plot would scramble those age categories for a lot of characters, so you may see, say, turbo-revvin' punk Kup, or grandfatherly Holi. We would want to keep the number of Child types down, particularly if they require a caretaker character (more independent ones are easier for the rest of the player base to handle), and there'd be no stat changes from this, but some physical changes might result (I've got a picture of a young-Kup around somewhere, made... well before Botcon decided to make one, acutally XD ).
You will find that there are a lot of weird body or mind changing plots that are on our backlog list because... well, they're fun to play through. They get annoying when you get too many of them in a row on a television show or something like that, and they start feeling contrived after awhile, but here the biggest concern is really, "Would this be fun for us to do?" and if the answer is, "Yes," who cares if it comes off contrived?

Re-aging, not de-aging. It is a plot that has been on the books since the early days of DZ. There are four categories: Child, Youth, Adult, and Elder. We don't really want too many Child characters, ESPECIALLY if they need a caretaker. Self-sufficient would be better. There can be both physical and mental changes in the character depending on age class and player desire.
You can choose to have your characters affected or not. This plot will probably be happening during another plot, so there are the possibilities for very interesting interactions.

I'm not sure what you mean, combining before and after? Would you mind explaining? ...er, I meant before or after. Essentially a "Not on the planet, but I'm not really picky". I just used the wrong conjunction. Ooopsie.

IF Waspy got younger, would he revert to Wasp or just be a younger Waspinator? I guess the same could aply to the likes of Cheetor and Blackarachnia

Does this mean we could get a baby zombie Impactor?

It would be player preference whether or not a character turns into a previous form or a younger version of his/her current form.
If turning into an older or younger body would make the character more powerful, it will require admin approval. For example, if Impactor turned into Youth Impactor, who is not a zombie, that would require admin approval, because being a zombie is a weakness since he falls apart all the time, so Youth Impactor would be more durable and therefore an improvement.
If turning into an older or younger body would be neutral or a downgrade, it won't require admin approval. For example, turning back into Elita-1 would basically be a downgrade for Blackarachnia.
Now, skillsets won't change, but the will to use them might. For example, a character who was a happy scientist who became a grim sniper when he was older might not want to snipe anymore if he turns back into a young, happy scientist.

A quick reminder that players are asked to vote once, even if they have multiple alternates. If a player is caught voting more than once, and we can tell what they voted for, all votes from that player will be ignored. If we can't tell what they voted for, the poll will have to be locked and the vote re-started.

Does this mean we could get a baby zombie Impactor? Theoretically, if Impactor's player wanted to play that, but we really don't want to see too many Child characters, as we noted.

Admin approval.... we need to write applications anew for this?

No, you don't need a full application, and you only need admin approval if your character would become more powerful during the duration of the plot.
Think of it as similar to the Plot Character apps we asked people do if their DZ-3 alternates were more powerful than their normal versions.
