Dead End revved his engine and backed up abruptly from the firing line. He'd gotten about all he was going to get out of that practice session, and his guns were all properly calibrated to his fire control systems now and sighted in. The exercise hadn't been all that pointless, or he wouldn't have bothered showing up. He transformed back into robot mode and faced the other Decepticons.
"A good question, Thundercracker, a good question. Spinister, sir?"

Shortround continued firing at the targets, despite the lack of improvement. "I think I might have a good image somewhere, but I don't have any toys or anything of it, they're back on Cybertron..." Shortround explains with a sigh. How he misses his large supply of toys.

Eye-Fire is deathly quite as everything visualizes. He's also tuned out everybody around, He'd have yelled at them to shut up but that'd defeat the purpose.
Whatever you do, don't touch him. This may just cause him to swing your way and fire, Spinister should probably recognize that doing the above would be a bad idea.
The terrain that Mirage is hiding in is pretty simple, large rocks, shrubs, some tall grass and weeds are about the place. The only real hope Eye-Fire has of spotting Mirage will be down to whether or not he can accurately see the minor distortions that cloaking causes. Bots with lesser optics would probably fry a circuit board trying.
And then... yes, that weeds stalk was distinctly trying to go in two different directions at once with an odd shearing effect down its middle. He couldn't be entirely sure that he'd spotted mirage, this was after all at extreme range. But he couldn't take the chance that it wasn't... but what if it wasn't? he'd effectively have failed this test.....
The above musings became irrelevant as a subroutine made itself felt, one that he'd though had been buried a long time ago. The shot, more powerful than he had intended to use, streaked towards were Mirage might be. He was, the shot caught him in the kneecap and blew off the rest of his leg.
But Eye-Fire wasn't happy at this. On the contrary, he was quite worried. The subroutine that had taken over had originally been part of his drone programming, and had been effectively buried the first few weeks and the first few friendly fire instances. Now it was emerging agian.
"Cancel simulation." Eye-Fire ordered, transforming back into robot mode.
"Spinister, sir, I need to go get some minor repairs done. A minor malfunction in my barrel was detected after that last shot." He says. Sure, its a lie, but its better than saying that something just took control of his firing mechanism.

Fleetwind continues firing, but does nothing flashy nor particularly interesting otherwise, and thus can be skipped in future rounds.

Jetstorm is so immature. He's just trying to keep Jetstorm on task. Spinister doesn't think he's important. He is replaceable, a cog in the machine, and the fact is that each and every one of them is similarly replaceable. Anyway, this is going on Jetstorm's record.
He replies to Thundercracker, "If you feel you have sufficiently benchmarked your performance, you may leave, or you may stay and attempt to fine tune your efforts."
Poor Shortround! Of course, there can never be enough for a collector. Spinister knows. His partner, Needlenose, is a toy collector.
He addresses Eye-Fire and replies briskly, "Of course. Have the medic forward a report to me." If Spinister does not get some report on the matter, he will follow this matter up.

Skystrike fires off a few more shots before glancing at her score. It was relatively the same as other times she’d gone shooting albeit, those times were in a makeshift range rather than a simulation. She debated following Eye-fire and getting her optics checked out then coming back to see if her score would improve. It was the logical thing to do after all, even if the mild visual impairment didn’t hinder her performance otherwise.
The seeker made a slightly unhappy noise to herself and continued firing.

Thundercracker fires a few times more, just to let off the last of his steam, then disarms his guns. He's gotten as far as he thinks he's able to this session. Though he might stop by for more practice at a later date.
With a nod at Dead End and Spinister, he turns and walks out.
OOC 1: Skipping Jetstorm due to time-out. He's free to re-enter the thread whenever he chooses.
OOC 2: Thundercracker's out of the thread.

"I believe I am done here, then," Dead End said, taking Spinister's answer to Thundercracker to apply to him, too. If it did not, Spinister was free to yell at him. He subspaced his rifle and sauntered out of the training area.

Hoping that Thundercracker's question applied to him as well, Shortround subspaced his own rifle. "I think that's about the best I can do" he said, looking over at the wall, where most of his plasma rounds hit.
He then walked out after the other two, possibly being followed by any other Decepticons who also wanted to leave. Shortround at least had the excuse of failing horribly if anyone asked him why he left, so he was happy with that.
Shortround's out of here as well
