"Leastaways he don't sound like Wheelie." Midnight slowly lowered his guns. "Cute rhyming ain't his style. Seriously. We still don't know if that first Thundercracker was dying when he came through, or if Wheelie got to him first."
Midnight managed a brief, ironic smile at Bumblebee. "And thet shore don't sound like the Bee Ah know. Hope some of you are checkin' for infiltrators, though. Could be pretty bad if we get all comfortable-like with these red badges and BOOM! Somebody sneaks in our Slingshot or Bumblebee. 'Course, Ah figure you're thinking the same thing about us purple-faces, too."
"Out a' curiousity, is your Slingshot a real quiet fella, and is his wingmate a little gray fella named Skyblast that looks like someone shrunk Skyfire down in the wash? Is your Skyblast a crazy artist fella who does all the talking for Slingshot?" Midnight asked, staying carefully away from all the vicious buildings that wanted to pounce on him.

Blackout used the radio to reply for verification. He hasn't heard his Bumblebee say much. At least, nothing he'd care to repeat. The music is somewhat curious, though.
The big chopper turns, taking a tentative step up the stairs towards the upper levels where the others are. Each step is careful, testing the ground to make sure it can bear his weight before proceeding. It'll take him a bit at this rate to climb all the way up.
OOC: In other words, he won't make it up to the top until next round.

Oh! Bumblebee didn't think through what Holi had said properly. He moves in the opposite direction, before once again offering a thumbs up at the micromaster.
Bumblebee shifts his weight uncomfortably as Midnight's conversation about trusting people with purple symbols. When he then enquires about two Autobots that just don't match up the names they're assigned to, Bumblebee tilts his head in confusion before shaking his head.

Wheelie's just going to stay out of the way for now, helping Holi as best he can while they wait for the others to make it up here.
There is, however, the question of how to work together hanging in the air.
//Each does what he can, when he can, that's the plan! So long as nobody shoots somebody else, no plan needs to be put on the shelf."

Holi and a few others might find this whole situation more than just a little bit uncomfortable, but Tiny seems to think it's grand. More people to pester for scritches and treats!
Oh! And one of them is even coming up to her! She squeaks and growls happily, straining at her lead. This concerns the little Autobot currently clutching the other end of the line and he draws back on her leash, trying to get a hand on part of her harness for better control.
//No, sir,// he answers Midnight cautiously even while he turns a relieved look Bumblebee's way, //that doesn't sound very much like the Slingshot I've met. Or Skyblast.// He pulls Tiny closer to his side, whispering a fervent, "Heel!" He looks up again and glances around, checking his surroundings and where the others are in relation to the damaged floor he knows of and to himself. Blackout's on his way up – with Scorponok? Scorponok would be a great distraction for Tiny right now – but Holi already warned the big 'copter about the nearby weakened areas; Cannonball is over yonder with Midnight where the Seeker managed that spectacular crash; Bumblebee's right there and Wheelie's even nearer.
It's Wheelie, then, Holi fixes with a questioning look while he pulls Tiny along. They can meet Blackout on his way up! It helps that, being a Decepticon aside, he reminds Holi of a drab Evac – makes the idea of proximity a little less unsettling. Not a whole lot, but a little.

Cannonball gives Midnight a look, then looks up toward the Autobots.
//Let me apologize fer me mate's conversation, lads.// He sighs audibly over the channel before continuing. His voice is calm and confident, not the lecherous drawl of his alternate. //To point out the blatantly obvious, this 'ere situation be real tough on th' both of us. I suppose a bit of apprehension is understandable. 'Owever, I do 'ope we can work past our differences t' overcome the challenge posed by our enemies.//

Midnight turned and favored Cannonball with a sullen red glare. "What are you apologizin' fer? Ah can do my own apologizin's if it's needed, and Ah don't see thet it is. Ah was just askin' about some security issues that are just a tad important, don't you think? Seriously."
He stalked over towards Cannonball. "And Ah was askin' about personalties because if this here mutual frequency gets compromised, it might be nice to know what kinda differences there are between the guys we're friends with and the guys we oughta be shootin', jus' so we don't mix 'em up!"
Midnight shook his head. "You ain't never had a fragfest in a dark Cybertron canyon where the radar's all foobar and the IFF's bin hexed to the Pits and back and alla them lookin' like more of our ground-pounders an' the only way you got of knowin' your guys from theirs is their voices in the air, have ya? Seriously. And the tank-boys don't take too kindly to gettin' bombed by mistake. You gotta get to know your own guys, can't just trust in the numbers and signals workin' all the time."

Scorponok remains on the lower levels, watching Blackout. Only for a moment; then he returns to his sweep with renewed vigor. The sooner it's done, the sooner he can go play.
Still treading as lightly as he can, Blackout finally reaches the upper level. He doesn't quite avoid the weak spot Holi pointed out; his feet only contact the ground at the tips of his three wide-spread "toes", so he simply stands with a foot right over it. He waves to Midnight and Cannonball, beckoning them to come inside. "We shouldn't stay visible any longer than necessary. We don't know if the other side's aerial spies are back in the sky yet."
He considers Wheelie's rhyme for a moment, then nods. "As long as we ensure that everyone knows the allied frequency. We'll need it to verify who's who."
Finally, he turns to Bumblebee. He doesn't fear the little psychopath he knows; fear causes hesitation, and Blackout doesn't hesitate. There is a certain apprehension in his tone, however. "I...almost dread to ask, but I wish to know what you could tell me about my...alternate." His tone then returns to business. "But that is for later. For now, we need to set up watch and patrol rosters, and other ways for our teams to work together."

Bumblebee is not encouraged by all the Decepticons telling him how difficult it is for people to trust everyone. He's reminded why he preferred working alone.
At least Blackout is calm about the whole thing, even if the conversation isn't terribly pleasant. Bumblebee's body language conveys the apprehension he's feeling over the impending discussion all too clearly. However, when Blackout gets down to business, Bumblebee just transmits, //agreed. beyond some basic training drills we do not have much time. we simply have to make the most of what we have.//

Blackout and Scorponok coming up gives Wheelie just a little bit of a fright, though he naturally doesn't show it. Instead, he takes a couple steps back from his current position, to give the rather large mechanoid space when he does get up there.
Unfortunately, the particular patch of floor he's stepped up proves to be particularly weak and gives way under him. Only stretching his arms out in time saves him from completely falling through, stopping at his shoulders.
"Please to give a hand out of this hole? Wheelie's an Autobot, he's not a mole!"

"All we can do," Holi offers for the tactical discussion, getting a little more cooperation from Tiny as he goes, "is the best we can do." And… okay, so their best wasn't quite good enough last time. But experience dictates that now they've dealt with the enemy once, they're sure to at least stalemate the next time. They'll have help the next time, too!
Besides, the good guys always win.
But there's a more immediate concern than the next battle – because there's always a next battle – when the floor quivers under his feet and, with a rumbling crackle, it collapses right beneath Wheelie. Holi's jaw drops and he spins hard, earning a yelp from Tiny as the leash snaps tight and she's dragged behind him while he scrambles to Wheelie's aid. He stops a few feet short of the hole lest it open up under him, too, and tests the floor more carefully on his approach. Tiny follows, making consternated sounds all the while.
"I've got you, Wheelie!" Holi declares reassuringly, reaching with his free hand to grasp one of the Minibot's arms before securing his hold with the other if he can grab on.

Cannonball turns back to Midnight, not backing down from the taller mech. "I'm jus' sayin' that ye could've been a little more careful in th' way y' asked. Having yer guns raised isn't th' best way t' go aboot things."
He cuts to a private band. //My apologies t' you, lad. I jus' wanna make sure everything goes over smooth wit' this 'ere alliance. Anything to rid us of Rodimus, y'know?// He smirks, then follows Blackout upon being beckoned. Then he hears the question the chopper asks. "I suppose we should all share about each other's alternates, if any of us know..."
And then Wheelie slips in. Cannonball skirts around Blackout, keeping a bit back from the hole. "Lemme know if ye be needin' a 'and, lad" he says to the Micromaster, eager to help, but not wanting to overstep any boundaries.

Midnight scowls slightly. "Ah suppose Ah been a bit jumpy. Sorry about that."
"See now!" He points a half-raised hand at Blackout. "Thet's exactly what Ah was gettin' at! They need to know who we are and aren't, and we need to know who these Autobots are, and thet they're not our Autobots. Seriously. Only Captain Diplomacy here says it better than Ah do," Midnight concluded, giving Cannonball a friendly, light punch to the shoulder.
Midnight's head turned sharply at Wheelie's cry for help; he started to move that way until he noticed the others moving in ahead of him, and that he'd just be in the way.
"Oh, fer Primus's sake! Ah told you those buildings aren't up to code. Ah'm thinkin' they ought to be off limits until we get some Constructicons here to fix 'em up, if we're going to use 'em at all. Seriously. Y'all got the little orange guy okay?"
"Ah can tell already y'all ain't like the Autobots Ah know," Midnight said, addressing the Autobots in audial range. "Bumblebee Ah know is a loudmouth what likes to beat people up and hurt 'em. Him and Nightbeat are two of a kind. Not like this fella here at all. " ---- Friendly punch by permission.

And to think, some people think Diplomacy is a wasted skill.
Blackout blinks as Bumblebee continues to use the radio. He's about to ask when the sound of the floor interrupts. The big chopper turns, taking in the situation and looking for a way to help. If the floor caves under Wheelie, it probably won't take Blackout's weight....
A chitter and the sound of high-speed drilling draws Blackout's attention back to the lower levels. Scorponok cuts his way through the stands themselves, boring down into the maintenance area under the arena seating. The insectoid quickly scurries up a support beam under the upper levels, reaching out a clawed arm under Wheelie's feet, attempting to give the orange bot something to stand on to climb out.

OOC: Don't forget, Bumblebee's radio transmissions are more akin to text messaging than his voice.
Bumblebee makes a confused sound at Midnight. His own doppelganger was about as verbose as he was, he thought, just by choice, not through some irreparable damage. Though he seems right on the money with the 'likes to hurt people' thing.
He goes to help Holi pull out Wheelie, but sees that more than one of the Decepticons are offering to help. Good.
One more, transmitting on an open frequency. //cannonball, your own alternate has a very different colour scheme and deco. he tried to infiltrate our autobots, too. blackout is a loyal follower of megatron in our reality, but i haven't seen him since arriving on gillnan. and midnight is someone i have never met before. unless he is blue in this reality.[/i]
