A whole city? Holi's sure he's heard about some of the Micromaster engineers working on covert bases, but not on the scale of a whole city. That's almost unimaginable!
"It must be amazing," he declares with a rapturous grin. That sunny smile flickers quickly, then dwindles to a glum twist of the mouth. "It wasn't on Earth when I was there, though." He sighs. "I'd like to see it someday," he adds wistfully. Holi starts to slouch, then corrects himself carefully, trying not to disrupt Perceptor's work. He sits that way for a couple of seconds, until a thought strikes him. "I'm sure if we could get there," and by 'we' he means the Micromasters, "we could help rebuild in no time!"

"It wasn't on your Earth," Perceptor corrects gently. "For all the similarities, there are some differences between our realities. I would like to see your world, and your Earth, and study those variations, someday."
A few more connections, and... voila! Perceptor returns power to the newly installed circuits, restoring Holi's vision.
"However, if ever your Micromasters come to my reality, I would be pleased to have your assistance in rebuilding Autobot City," he adds, smiling at the thought of swarms of Holi's kin bustling about the city. "You would be most welcome."
"Now, run a diagnostics on your new visual processor core, please. How does everything look?"

Oh, right. Different Earths. How did Holi manage to forget that? Something to worry about for another time, he decides, because he can see!
"I'm sure we'd all be glad to help!" he burbles brightly even as he starts the diagnostic. Everything flickers now and again, colours shifting toward one end of the spectrum, then the other, and one last blink sets everything back in order. Holi shakes his head slightly before turning a big smile on Perceptor. "It all looks fine, doctor! Thank you!"

Perceptor smiles and nods. "You are quite welcome, Holi. It is my pleasure. Now, shall we get the rest of this patched up and back to normal?" he asks, pointing toward the still open hole in the Micromaster's cranium.
"I am simply very glad that you managed to avoid more significant harm during the battle." What a confusing mess that had been, and he'd been in their repair area, rather than out in the thick of it!
Plating shappes quickly, going from a simple temporary patch to a more refined, and stronger, permanent repair which he holds up for Holi's inspection. "Suitable?" he asks. If and when Holi gives him the nod, he'll fit it into place so that one of them, at least, can get out and escape the dreariness of the tunnels for a bit.

He can see again and all the pounding from across repair isn't giving him a headache any more. Holi is having a fine time of things. Unlike Tiny, who seems to be eyeing her leash as if she'd like to chew through it. He'll have to find some batteries for her to snack on – oh! And some purple paint for the batteries.
"It's perfect," Holi pronounces once he's gotten a good look at the bit of plating that's about to be attached to his head. It looks like it matches up seamlessly to his specs. Except for the paint, but he can take care of finding paint later. So he sits still again to avoid interrupting the doctor's work. He isn't as worried about talking this time, though. "I wasn't worried about getting hurt, sir." Not entirely a lie; duties and company at the time distracted him from that concern. "The, er… good Barricade helped me out," he explains. "And then Omega Supreme came to help after I was hit." After the good Duskwing was killed.
Holi's smile fades a little. Someday, he won't need rescuing.
Then, just as quickly, his smile returns full force and with a new, anxious sort of brightness to his optic band. Where is Omega Supreme right now, anyway?
"Doctor?" wonders Holi, eager and hesitant. "Do you think Omega Supreme would mind if I went and thanked him?" Because Holi wouldn't want to interrupt the huge Autobot's nap or anything like that. …Does Omega Supreme take naps?

"I am sorry that I could not have been there to assist, too, Holi," Perceptor offers as he carefully fits the new plating into place. That's true in and of itself, although Perceptor is not very optimistic about his ability to successfully, and non-violently, deal with his Alternate at the time.
Especially if he'd seen Holi hit.
But don't worry, Holi. Perceptor had needed rescuing, too. You at least didn't screw up and send the Alternates back prematurely.
"I... I think that Omega Supreme would appreciate that very much, Holi," Perceptor replies, smiling. The massive mech gets so very little recognition for his contributions. It is only fair that he get the thanks he deserves now and again, especially since Perceptor guesses that Omega Supreme would likely refuse any such notion of deserving or being owed. It's just the huge mech's nature, it seems.
"Almost done. I do apologize for not having the appropriate colors of paint formulated yet. Perhaps you and Wheelie can put your excellent scavenging skills to use later and track some down?"
A few more micro-welds, a bit of tightening of the catch plate, and... "There! All finished! How does it feel?"

"Don't worry, sir." Holi dares to reach up and pat Perceptor's nearest hand in a comradely, reassuring fashion. "You had important things to do. What matters is we're still here," he pronounces firmly, with a thin sort of smile. Scavenging for paint sounds like a good idea. He can't be the only one who needs touch-ups. So long as he can steer clear of the skybull this time, everything should be fine. He shrugs slightly at the thought, then tilts his head this way and that, then shakes it briefly. Nothing loose, nothing rattling. As good as new! "And it feels great! Thank you again, doctor."
Holi makes to stand and brush himself off. He'll look into tracking down Wheelie – if the Minibot is interested – and searching for paint after he pays Omega Supreme a visit. Priorities, after all. Tiny perks up at the change in movement, tail flicking anxiously. If she could talk, she'd probably ask can we go now?
"I'll look for Omega Supreme first," says Holi to Perceptor and to no-one in particular at the same time.

Silence then, for a long moment. "Yes. We are all of us still here." Such a profound observation from such an innocently ignorant being. Despite the best efforts of demented, mirrored Autobots and familiar Decepticons alike, they have all survived, this odd little troupe that is gathering for reasons still undetermined. Battered, but not broken.
"Thank you, Holi," Perceptor murmurs. Let the micromaster believe that he is thanking him for the praise of his work, if need be. Perceptor will simply be glad of the youthful, guileless insight, regardless of the assumed nature of the thanks.
"I think that sounds like a splendid idea. Would you ask Omega Supreme if there is anything which he requires that I might be able to provide him with, once you find him? I know that Long Haul tends to his maintinence and repair, however if Omega Supreme requires a particular fuel formulation, or simply desires a change of lubricant compound, I would be happy to provide anything within my abilities to produce."

The quick nod Holi gives Perceptor seems a fine alternative to a salute. The young captain's growing a bit more casual, perhaps.
"You're welcome, doctor." He pauses long enough to work his way back down to the floor before turning to Perceptor again and adding, "Of course I'll ask him! It's the least I can do." Tiny sidles as close to Holi as she can get, making happy noises because now that he's done with his business here, she doesn't have to sit tied in the corner. He gives her an apologetic pat on the head before he starts untying her leash.

Perceptor nods, chuckling just a little as Tiny makes her eagerness more than well apparent to everyone. "Thank you, then," he adds, reaching down to pat Holi gently upon the shoulder with a couple of fingers. "if there is anything else which you need, please do not hesitate to ask, Holi."
Across the bay, Rodimus's entrance catches Perceptor's attention enough that he tunes in to their conversation for a few moments. "As I recall from one of Kup's..." and here he smiles, "numerous stories... eh heh, Hot Rod did him quite a good turn on Quintessa with those repair skills he had picked up."
"I believe there was mention of a rather large aquatic robotic cephalopod and multiple limb dismemberment which required rectification. And a 'burr in his rotator cuff' which is no no longer problematic." Perceptor is amused, for some reason by this whole exchange.
ooc: cross-posted to Broken and Busted. Just posting through there, right now, but if no one minds, Perceptor may wander over into that thread to harass/annoy Swerve examine those repairs, too, upon the completion of this one. Good for a wrap up here anytime.

"Rodger!" Holi quips back with a self-satisfied sort of good cheer. The doctor just patted him on the shoulder! Like a friend and fellow soldier, not a kid! It's very hard not to puff out his chest with pride as he makes his way toward the exit, Tiny trotting along happily beside him.
He's so caught up in bouncing back from his little glum spell that he breezes right on by the others on his way out. He even forgets to salute Rodimus Prime. What cheek!
OOC: Call it good?
