Shortly after a particular hot-tempered racer makes his rather brusque announcement on the Autobot frequency, another, more private call, goes out from Medical, as well.
// Holi? I have completed gathering the necessary components to finish your repairs. Please come to medical at your earliest convenience. In the back, near the component storage, if you would, // he radios the Micromaster.
He wants just a little privacy for this repair, mostly for himself. Perceptor's Alternate still has the scientist deeply rattled, especially since Holi had been subjected to the monster. Those traces of chemicals that Perceptor had taken samples of from Holi's head wound had proved... quite enlightening. And not comforting in the least.
Perhaps that is why he would not trust the rest of this repair to anyone but himself: some misplaced need to make amends for his Alternate. Still. Again.
Or, perhaps, he just preferred knowing that Holi's optical capabilities would be at their most efficient, and of anyone there, Perceptor has the dabbest hand at repairing optical function.
At any rate, he finally has the last of the components, and is prepared to spend as long as necessary making all the minute, tiny adjustments to ensure optimal function. And then, perhaps, he can finally allow himself a nap.
ooc: takes place on Day 4, concurrent with Broken and Busted, just in a little back corner of repair out of the way and out of direct sight.

It takes Holi a moment or two to respond, but respond he does.
//Yes, sir,// he answers Perceptor. //On my way.// The trek to repair is a little more time-consuming than it would normally be; he has Tiny in tow – she would much rather be above ground right now, but she doesn't seem to mind terribly Holi's almost doting attention – and his depth perception is still spotty at best. It's his vision that causes the most trouble; occasionally staticky in places, colours shifting here or there, bleeding into one another. Tiny is a lovely shade of teal when they arrive, but when Holi looks up on his way past the trio of Autobots on his way in, Springer has turned seafoam green. Wedge looks strange in yellow and Swerve even moreso with his red gone pinkish.
Holi keeps these observations to himself, even when he sees the doctor wearing something like lavender.
"I couldn't leave her, sir," he says quietly of his companion. "It… isn't a problem, is it?"

Perceptor smiles as Holi slips quietly into the medical area, the small mechadragon in tow, managing not to disturb the other three occupants as he weaves his way back to the back corner.
"Of course not, Holi," he replies, reaching down to offer Tiny a little scratch above her optic ridges. "She will be safe enough here. Been taking good care of each other, I see," he adds, hazarding guess that Holi may have been using Tiny to help him maneuver around as much as he had been looking after her.

Tiny coos her own sort of greeting to Perceptor while Holi takes in her leash and gets a better grip on it to keep her from bolting off and investigating the new guy sitting at the other end of repair.
"Yes, sir," says the young Micromaster, reaching down to give Tiny a pat of his own. "I think she'd like some fresh air, though." It is sort of boring being underground all the time, seeing mostly the same scenery over and over again. …Okay, so it's very boring. Holi fixes Perceptor with a curious and hopeful gaze, anxiously fussing a little with the loose end of Tiny's leash. "You said you could finish my repairs now, doctor?" he wonders. He'll be glad if the world goes back to its proper colours.

"Yes, I think many of us could use a little fresh air. Very few are used to the confinement to such dark and cramped quarters," Perceptor agrees sympathetically. "Perhaps you can take her aboveground for some exercise to test your new optical systems once we are done here."
Yes. As a matter of fact, he had said that he could complete those repairs, Holi, and is grinning cheerfully in answer.
"Shall we restrain her over here so that you can relax on the berth?" he asks, nodding toward the corner as he pats the repair berth beside him. "And we shall get everything back to optimal function shortly, all right?"

The suggestion of exercise has Holi positively beaming.
"That sounds perfect, doctor!" he declares enthusiastically enough to get a surprised and curious tilt of the head from Tiny, who flicks her wingtips unhappily when it turns out he isn't talking to her. She's even less enthused when Holi leads her into the corner and ties off her leash. "Don't worry," he promises her, hunkering down to look her right in the eyes and pat her on the head. "We'll try going out soon!" And she won't be yellow!
He stands straight again and turns to the berth… that's a meter or so over his head. He'd jump up and grab on, but he can't be sure he's actually gauging the distance properly. Fortunately for him, there are some handy crates stacked up just to the side. Up he goes!

Holi is such a... a refreshing mech to have around. His cheerful exhuberance is infectious at times, and Perceptor finds himself chuckling as he watches the Micromaster scamper up onto the repair berth above him, excited to receive his repairs.
"Not to worry, Tiny," Perceptor says with a smile for the mechadragon. "There is sunshine in your very near future."
"So. No continued balance issues or instances of paralysis at all?" he asks as he brings a tray of tools and parts over to set on the berth beside Holi. "And... Are you certain that you do not mind that I complete the work?"
Yes, there is that niggling little fear that Holi may bear some fear toward the image of him looming over, after his Alternate had inflicted the initial injury.

"No, sir," Holi answers with a slight shake of his head once he gets himself seated. "No dizziness or anything like that. Just… weird colours. And sometimes static. And every once in a while, everything's too bright. Or too dark." He rambles because he isn't sure how he should answer the doctor's other question. If he minded, he wouldn't be here, would he?
Or… no, it can't possibly be about the evil bot who looked like him. The doctor isn't that one, after all!
"You're the best doctor we have where I'm from, sir," is what Holi finally tells Perceptor with perfect trust, confidence, and reassurance.

Holi's reassurance, such matter-of-fact, innocent acceptance without even hesitation, much less fear, is very comforting to Perceptor, putting the final nail in his last misgivings about that whole affair with their Alternates. It would have killed something inside if Holi had been scarred by the experience, if Holi's trust had been damaged.
Selfishly, if Holi's trust of him had been damaged.
"Well, in that case," he replies, cycling one optic in a wink, "I shall endeavor to uphold my rather formidable reputation."
Softer, he adds, "Thank you, Holi."
"Now, let us have a look at those visual processors, shall we?" he offers, taking up a couple of small tools and nodding for Holi to settle himself however he is most comfortable so that Perceptor can work.

"You're welcome, sir," chirps Holi even if he isn't quite sure why, exactly, Perceptor has thanked him. He was simply stating the truth.
He'll have to think on it more later. The longer he sits and stews over it, the more of the doctor's time he wastes. He quietly rearranges himself so that it should be easiest for Perceptor to remove the patch plate covering his damaged head and work on the circuitry, then holds good and still.

Perceptor doesn't consider it wasting time at all.
Tiny, however, obviously does, as she strains at the end of her leash and whines, getting restless.
"Not long, Tiny, I promise," Perceptor soothes as he reaches to remove that plate. "Not long at all, and then you can go for a walk. I think, sometimes, that Xaaron is the only one of us truly comfortable down here."
Perceptor grins faintly as he carefully pries out the damaged circuitry. "I am taking your optics offline for the repair, now, Holi," he warns before doing so. Now, all he has to do is remove the slagged bit, replace it with the new circuits, resolder all the connections, ground the entire assembly into Holi's secondary power bypass system, and run calibrations on the work. Simple.

Holi gives the little dragonette a very patient sort of smile before looking back up at Perceptor.
"I don't mind it, doctor," he says conversationally. "It isn't that much different from a closed base, really." He pauses, making a thoughtful face. "Except for the lighting."
And then, with warning, the world goes dark as Holi's optic cluster shuts down. He doesn't like not being able to see; it's unsettling to lose any of his senses, but losing his sight makes him dial up his audio receptors almost by reflex. Humans, he's read before, do things like this instinctively because they often can't get their senses restored. Compensation. He doesn't like it because everything is suddenly much louder. Sometimes too loud. Fortunately, except for that one ringing strike on the other end of repair, it's fairly quiet in here.

"You have spent a considerable amount of time in a closed base, then, Holi?" he asks, curious. Meanwhile, his hands are moving swiftly, working as quickly as he can to restore some sight to the young Micromaster. It is never a comfortable thing to be rendered even a fraction helpless.
Just look how awful it had been for him to lose his scope, and he had still retained the use of his optical sensors!

"Yes, sir," Holi answers, trying very hard not to wince at the pounding noise ringing through repair. "Galaxy Shuttle Base was fully enclosed." Though it still had video screens here and there.
The whole time Perceptor works, Holi takes great care to keep still. Only his fingers give him away, tapping the surface of the berth in a quiet staccato. He's less worried about his helplessness than he is bothered by the hammering at his receptors.
"What," he asks as a distraction, "is the base like where you're from, Doctor?"

"Autobot City?" Perceptor asks absently as he swtches out the damaged boards and begins soldering everything in. "Actually, I spend as much time on Cybertron as I do on Earth, but on Earth, our primary base is Autobot City."
He sighs, and there is just the tiniest note of sadness in that sigh. "It is still currently under repairs. Much damage was done a year ago when the Decepticons attacked." He does not mention the many good mechs who were lost that day, though they are what he is truly sorrowful for.
"In it's prime, however, it is a city surrounded by mountains and water. A city built by Autobots for ourselves and our human allies. When necessary, however, the entire complex can be transformed into a formidable, and secure, battle station." He pauses for a moment. "That is a rare thing, indeed, however."
