Bumblebee chuckles quietly at Sky-Byte's flailing over Long Range.. but then the concern of a character whose name is Long Range departing was finally dawned on him.
Bumblebee kept an optic on which way Long Range had departed. He figured he had enough time to move whilst Sky-Byte was still there. And when that happened, he knew where to go to deal with the person.
Bumblebee's engine remains turned off. Just hold out a little more... Just a little more...

Back and forth at Bumblebee and Long Range's disappearing bulk. Finally he makes a decision and dashes after the walking artillery unit. The Autobot can wait till later, either he runs or breaks into the city. If it's the latter, Sky-Byte is sure that the yellow muscle car will be spotted by someone else. After all, how inconspicuous is that color? That and unlike blue, yellow isn't all that common in this Decepticon army.
"Long Range! I order you to halt immediately! As reasonable as you think opening up a new practice range is. How do you think those Autobots will see things if one of their own is quite conveniently at the location?! Coincidence? I think not! So unless you wish to inform Starscream that you're going to be the mech responsible for breaking our truce, do not fire a single shot."
Don't make Sky-Byte call over broadband. Being known as a tattle-tell will make this shark a grumpy one.

Hard to miss a noisy exchange like Bumblebee's with the audio array Holi carries, but with coordinates, the Micromaster doesn't really need to listen for it; he just motors along his not-so-merry way. Listening once he's close enough, that can be entertaining. And maybe even informative.
He keeps his approach quiet – easy enough to do with the ruckus that fuel-injected jerk is raising with… with Sky-Byte? Oh, brother. Holi keeps his approach careful, too, staying behind as much cover as he can manage to avoid exposing himself to any stray weapons fire. After all, he muses to himself as he finds a nice vantage point between a pair of small buildings and transforms so he can peer out ever so cautiously, what's the point of showing up to watch the fireworks if he gets burned? …Or what's the point of showing up period if there aren't any fireworks, he amends sullenly as Sky-Byte runs off after the big bruiser. Long Range, he said? Bumblebee would pick a fight with someone who could paste him from a distance.
Well, at least Holi is in place if the dynamic dunces over yonder end up breaking the truce anyway. He's also ready to get the hell out if things get a little too warm.
//Alright, so I'm witnessing.// Ah, local shortwave.

Slipping past the buildings she had been exploring as she made her way toward the coordinates Bumblebee had provided, Oracle controlled the eager bounce in her step. This was for multiple reasons, not the least of which was the fact that while she could walk normally, it was likely something more energetic would reveal the fact her leg was still damaged. As soon as this little matter was over, she should really track down Perceptor and see if he had time to finish fixing that. Hopefully by that point he would have finished with Synapse so she wouldn't be interrupting.
Coming to a stop midway between Bumblebee and Holi, she tilted her head slightly as she watched Sky-Byte chase after Long Range. While normally that might indicate the end of the situation, somehow she thought considering what she had just heard Sky-Byte say, that the fact they were leaving was indeed why a witness had been called for in the first place. What was the fun in fighting someone that refused to come in close though? Her stance was relaxed as she kept part of her attention on the two leaving the area and the other part on Bumblebee and Holi as she radioed the other two on local shortwave.
//Leaving? How disappointing. But maybe he'll get stupid and actually fire.// Because even if they didn't get to take him apart personally, watching a Decepticon get in trouble for breaking the truce would probably be worth dodging a few shots.

Eye-Fire, for his part, had been minding his own business as he tried to stealthily move towards the main Autobot base in his smallest gun mode.
The only problem was that Holi had chosen this exact alley to use as his vantage point to watch the retreating Sky-Byte and Long Range. Eye-Fire had only jokingly said to Starscream that he might get stepped on, but it had become a danger when the Micromaster had transformed and nearly stepped into the patch of shadow Eye-Fire had been using to hide.
This was followed by Eye-Fire trying to silently escape, and be forced to franticly avoid another set of foot falls from the Micromaster that could have spelled doom.
Eye-Fire is now fed up and angry at this small Autobot, and wants to get some of his own back. He figures that no one will be able to point any fingers on him if he suddenly appears behind Holly in his full sized gun mode.
When Holi turns to see what that transformation sound was, he's probably going to develop a leak.

"As far as I'm concerned, Sky-Byte, the idiot has warning of what I'm going to do. If he chooses to stay there despite what I've said, then he deserves to become so much slag on the sidewalk." Long Range says as he continues to walk on, not turning to face Sky-Byte.

Bumblebee was planning on departing when Sky-Byte departed. But the presence of others will help him out. Over on shortrange, he transmits.
//Let me know when he has transformed.//
As Sky-Byte wanders of, Bumblebee's engine fires up again, and he resumes his aggressive driving. Of course, he's not traveling too far, he doesn't want to make himself a difficult target for Long Range or anything.

Augh! What is it with these blockheaded Decepticons? Or rather, what is it with Decepticons in general and their inability to follow orders?
Warring between reasoning abilities and his ego is what to do with this Long Range. Reasoning tells him to immediately call up the rest of command and demand some help in the matter. But his ego? His ego demands that he settle this problem on his own and without help. After all, what sort of commander would he be if everyone sees him running off for help at every problem? So says Sky-Byte's larger ego.
A bit of a compromise then as he fires off a call over the command line before transforming and hurling himself straight at Long Range, jaws wide open. "I'm afraid I can't allow you to do that. Now if you'll just stop, I think you need to learn the aspects of the relationship between soldier and commander!" He's aiming on bowling the larger transformer over and latching on quite firmly.

Oh, so Oracle showed up, too. Great. Someone else large and hard to miss hanging around to soak up gunfire if it erupts. Holi's chances here are starting to look just a little bit better every time he checks them. Maybe next, Prime himself will show up. Holi seriously doubts Sky-Byte and friend could take the Prime – who could, anyway? Shockwave? Hardly. Scourge-the-larger? Maybe. But watching those two idiots get thrashed for breaking the truce would be entertaining for a little while.
Too bad Holi won't get to see it. Sounds behind him never mean good things and he doesn't expect that to change any time soon, so when he hears that familiar transform noise at his back, it's with a nagging sense of dread that he turns to see who it is that managed to sneak up on him. There's no face there leering down at him, no robot looming over him. Just a huge gun hovering at eye level so that he's staring clear down the barrel. Holi doesn't freeze; freezing is stupid. He weighs his options. Bullies like it when their victims scream and giving them what they want is usually the safest thing to do right away and get rid of them. But when a bully knows he can get what he wants, he'll keep coming back to get it. Denying them what they want can make them lose interest. If Holi resists, he could be shot anyway. Sure, it'd be a fine end to the truce, but he doesn't want to be the sacrificial lamb.
"I-I'm not sure I'd do that if I were you," he finally says, unable to hide the anxious quaver in his voice. He was supposed to be out of the danger zone! Where'd he screw up? //Got another one over here,// he radios Oracle and Bumblebee. //I think Eye-fire's happy to see me.//

OOC: Posting before Oracle-3 done with player permission.
Eye-Fire detects the edge of fear in Holi's voice, and decides to play on that.
"Why, why do people always think that I'm going to shoot them when I'm in this mode? I mean, other than being a gun which which could blow through most people, you... There wouldn't be much left. Maybe your head if I hit lower than your midsection."
"I mean, I could understand if I did this." Eye-Fire clicks back the bolt on his side. "Or maybe even this." Theres a low hum as he begins to starts the firing mechanism, and a faint glow at the end of the barrel, but stops it before anything actually fires.
With this, Eye-Fire transforms into his robot mode puts his left hand on the building behind Holi, his right hand being in its gun mode from the start.
"Also, why do people always think that just cause I'm pointing at something with my hand, even if its at them, and I happen to have an active target lock on them, that I'm going to shoot them as well? Its complete prejudice agianst us gun formers! Don't you agree?" Eye-Fire says as he snatches up Holi's hand with both of his, his left actually holding it, the right angled on it so its still pointing squarely at his face.
"Please tell me you believe me, I really meant those other Autobots no harm, I just shot of their legs!... And then proceeded to put them out of their pain... And then there was that one that I started pulling pieces off of to see what he didn't need..." Eye-Fire says, his optic trained dead on Holi's face. The pressure his left hand is exerting is beginning to increase.

Muffling a snicker behind her hand, Oracle lifted into the air far enough to get a good view of Sky-Byte tackling Long Range. Not what she had expected to see when she came out here, but good entertainment all the same. Did cut down on the chances of there being any truce breaking and any related fights, but Rodimus' warning made her a bit more wary for the moment anyway.
That wariness lasted long enough to keep her from any poorly advised moves when Holi's radio message reached her, so instead she simply landed and stalked over to where he had been hiding with a deceptively relaxed gait.
She arrived just in time to overhear Eye-Fire and see him snatch up Holi's hand with his own, and she didn't miss the threats in either voice or action. Both made her bristle and only realizing that now would be a bad time for an impulsive action kept her from doing more than taking several steps forward and scooping Holi up into her own hands and away from Eye-Fire with a muted snarl. She resisted the impulse to check him for damage as she tucked him up onto her shoulder and backed away from Eye-Fire again. She didn't know what his game was, but she wasn't going to underestimate him, or be stupid enough to break the truce even if provoked.

Post by Long Range on Mar 24, 2008 8:39:55 GMT -5
Long Range starts turning around when he hears Sky-Byte speak again, about to fire off a retort when he saw that the shark bearing down on him jaws wide open. He's too slow to catcch the shark head on, and is struck on his side.
As he begins to topple over, pain receptors on his side register the teeth sinking into armor, and anger again flare up in Long range. When he hits the ground with a crash, he raises up one massive fist to bring crashing down on Sky-Byte to dislodge him.
Then, he suddenly stops mid swing and starts laughing a deep, booming laugh. Eventually he rolls over onto his front, one hand used to cover his face while the other swats the ground as he continues to laugh, the pain forgotten and anger subsided.
Eventually, the laughter grows thin and he half turns to pat Sky-Byte on the back.
"I didn't think you were being so serious! You really thought I was going to waste energon on shelling that scrap pile, didn't you? Ha ha!" He says as he has a short fit of laughter again.
"Now come, help me up and lets go get something to drink and have a talk." He says as he tries to roll over onto his back, but fails.

Bumblebee overheard the banter between Long Range and Sky-Byte. Surely this 'prank' of Long Range's won't sit well with his commander, who has been made a fool of in front of the 'enemy'.
He continues to travel about. But it'd seem as if he's driving around nearer to where Holi's signal was transmitting from.
Bumblebee is very protective of Holi. Noone gets to beat him up but Bumblebee.

Speechless would be the word to describe Sky-Byte at Long Range's proclamation. Confoundedly speechless.
But not for long.
"A joke?!" Sky-Byte's voice might be slightly muffled by his mouthful of the artillery-former, but his indignant growl is most likely palpable--most likely due to his teeth. This shark doesn't take to being made a fool. He takes even worse to almost getting smashed and then getting laughed at. "This truce isn't a joking matter. You listening to my orders isn't a joke either. I am in charge and you shall do as I say and respect that!" He punctuates each word with a steady tightening of his jaws, only to release his grip with a frustrated snarl.
One 'terrorize!' later, Sky-Byte stands in front of Long Range with his hands (or what can be counted as a hands) propped on his hips. "Next time something like this happens, I'll do more than just bite. I don't even want to see any of you touching these other Autobots." If Long Range wants a drink and a talk, he'll probably have to throw in a few flattering comments and a poetry reading. This shark is quite frazzled. It's probably a good thing that Sky-Byte is too fixated on Long Range to notice what in the world Eye-fire is currently doing. He'd throw a fit.

Holi stares, slack-jawed, at the spectacle unfolding before his optic cluster. Someone help him; the gun has completely lost its warped mind and he can't even shoot the bastard in the face it doesn't have and run.
He doesn't actually expect anyone to come help him, even if he starts screaming for it. Like he doesn't remember what the Prime said. You aren't as useful as Synapse, and his position is precarious right now. Holi isn't even as useful as the idiot who got himself captured and then squealed to the Decepticons. One would think consistently not getting captured might count for something. Apparently, that's just a little too much to hope for.
Holi has a retort or two for Eye-fire and comes dangerously close to letting them fly. People – especially scared and vulnerable people – by coincidence are intimidated with a gun pointed at their heads. When said gun is loaded, ready to fire, and being wielded by a lunatic, that just makes it worse. Holi keeps checking as surreptitiously as he can for some getaway route, some way to bolt while Eye-fire rants and raves. Some path that won't get him shot. He could try to hit Eye-fire in that lens and then run, but he doesn't want to be the one responsible for breaking the truce and end up a broken pile of Micromaster parts under the Prime's foot. And if he calls for help, he'll be seen as even weaker than he is now. Prime has little use for the weak except as entertainment and he barely tolerates Holi as it is. If Holi slips any further….
Then Eye-fire has to go and grab him. Holi, as a rule, hates being grabbed, held, picked up, or patted. Treated like a thing or a pet. He isn't one of Skyfire's toy jets and glad for that. But not only has he been grabbed, it's a Decepticon touching him, holding that gun barrel right in his face and… is this half-clocked clod looking for sympathy? While rambling about killing and torturing Autobots? Holi wants to recoil and can't – Eye-fire has too tight a grip on him. Painfully tight, threatening to snap something in the Micromaster's hand.
"L-l'eggo–" he starts only to be cut off when Oracle wrenches him away from Eye-fire, snatching him off the altar of war before the axe can fall. Something gives in his arm; he doesn't care and bites back the yelp that wells up in reflex. For once, he's almost thankful for her annoying habit of carting him around. She isn't much better than the others back home, treating him like a plaything she owns, but at least she's willing to protect him. Most of the time. For that, he's genuinely grateful – and abominably indebted – so he just shuts up and takes what he can get, huddling carefully against the brace of her intake and making sure not to favour his sore arm. He doesn't need or want to see Perceptor about it when his self-repair can handle it, given a little time.
