Month 1, Week 3, Day 3. Meeting room.
Everyone who isn't on essential duty should attend. Those who are on essential duty should watch on monitors and ask questions via radio. If you don't want to post in at all, just throw up a post in the Space forum saying that you are in the background.
Knowing that Starscream might try to be early and thereby upstage him, Scourge arrived 30 minutes early. He wonders how many know already. It shouldn't be many. It's barely been a day, and how often does a common Decepticon see Shockwave, anyway?
Not that often.
Scourge waits, counting heads. When it's time to go, he'll be ready. He's standing, despite the chairs in the meeting room. Better address the troops from a height and a place of strength than a weak sitting position.

Starscream would never upstage Scourge. He might try to kill him, but that's another matter entirely. It's a moot point, however, as he's only 15 minutes early for the meeting.
The jetformer stalks to the front of the room to stand to the right and slightly behind his acting commander. It's important to put on a show of solidarity for the troops, show them that their commanders are acting as one.
If Scourge is expecting no-one to know what's going on, Starscream expects he'll be surprised. Nothing stays secret in a group this size for very long.

Turmoil arrive roughly ten minutes before the meeting would begin. It wasn't in his nature to be late to a mandatory meeting. His promptness also allowed him his choice of seats, of which he chose one of the ones in the back. It wasn't due to consideration of his smaller comrades, but it would let him observe the room as a whole.
But even as he sat, Turmoil spied what was and probably would be the most interesting dynamic going on in the room. Starscream was standing slightly behind Scourge, who had taken a position of authority with his stance. Until now, despite having little interaction with both sub-commanders, Turmoil had been under the impression that they were equals within the hierarchy. Something drastic had changed, and Turmoil had an inkling he knew what since Scourge's position left little room for Shockwave to stand in front of the Optimus clone.

Unless dead or injured or taken command of, Mistwind can never be late. He walks in before time, a happy, cheery smile unmoving on the face. The evertortured form of Peace is held clutched with both hands while he walks straight towards Scourge. At exactly 23% distance between the room and the two commanders, based on point of entry, he halts. Fluidly. Without error.
Mistwind bows, deeply. Greets the ground units commander. Gets back up. Moves left until he's exactly centered to Starscream. Bows again, deeply. Greets the air units commander. Gets back up. Takes two steps backwards.
After this dogmatic greeting, Mistwind goes further to the left to sit down on the ground. Peace is set besides him, so it can watch and listen as well. He silently moves to entertain himself with reflections of light on the floor while they wait. It would be foolish to expect patience from Mistwind when not ordered to. But he'll be silent for you.

Hellbender, who has been busy with fortunately boring ship watches in the aftermath of Pz-Zazz events--which he didn't get to participate in because someone had to guard the ship, shows up. He gives Scourge and Starscream brusque nods, optics narrowing as he realizes Shockwave is nowhere in sight. These two had best not be orchestrating a plot against him!
Hellbender takes a position up front where he can lunge for either one of them and rip out a spark case if this does turn out to be treason.

Needlenose decides not to be fashionably late. Not for this one. But by arriving only on time, he's relatively late, anyway.
He saunters in casually, his Nebulans walking in behind him, and walks towards the wall opposite the door. He turns and leans against it, crossing his arms. He is not seated, and his position convienently affords himself a view of the room.
This is the sort of thing the Mayhems really should be on hand for, after all.

Of course Assault is here! He wouldn't want to miss this for the world, after all. He shows up early and like the good little Seeker he is, he does his best to blend into the background, yet in a position where he has a good view of the proceedings. Let's see what these two have to say.

((OOC OMG totally skippable))
Skyfire winces as he crosses the threshold, seeing all the other mechs already there before him. He'd gotten engrossed in some research and hadn't realized the time. He hopes it doesn't ruin his chances here.
He also hopes nobody turns around to stare at him. He is...very large and the broad spans of his wingpanels don't really help the impression. He tries to find some place along the back where he can sit, where he won't be blocking someone's view as he tries to look at his new allies.
He feels strangely relieved to see a large airframe at the front. Another jet. It's reassuring. He flashes the jet with the strangely bent legs a shy smile.

OOC: Posting Mindwipe, Oil Slick, and Cannonball all at once. Also skippable!
-----
Mindwipe arrived a few minutes early, taking a seat toward the front and waiting patiently. The meeting is a curious one, but patience is in order, so he sits quietly.
--
Oil Slick arrives around the same time as Mindwipe, though his chosen seat is at the back to see everyone better. He sits with crossed arms, curious to see how Scourge and Starscream handle this, and how the others take it...
--
Cannonball comes in just in the nick of time, grabbing a seat near the middle and plunking into it. He doesn't really care to be here, but being informed is generally a good place to be.

Bonecrusher stomps into the room and takes a seat somewhere in the middle with a clear line-of-sight so that he can glare murderously at Scourge. His empty optical socket pulses with rage just looking at the slag-sucker Optimus-wannabe. If anybody sits in front of him they're likely to get a smack in the head from his surprisingly long arms.

Scourge rolls into it without preamble, "As of [time], Shockwave vanished in a spacebridge accident. All attempts at recall have been unsuccessful." he keeps on going, without pausing to allow for shock. "As near as the Mayhems on the scene can determine, the disappearance was not caused by malicious sabotage but by a malfunction." He sweeps his gaze over the crowd. "Now I know it would make a better story if Starscream or I were behind this accident. That is our way, the new replacing the old via cunning or a show of strength. I can only say that I know I had nothing to do with it, and Decepticons who are generally accurate tell me that Starscream is not at fault."
"We will continue to make attempts to retrieve Shockwave, if only because a spacebridge is a valuable piece of military equipment, and having an operational one would be a boon to our war effort. However, for the foreseeable future, I'll be your commander, and Starscream my second." If anyone asks why, it's because Scourge is an idiot, that's why. "So you're probably curious what my plans are..."
Scourge does pause for shock and responses there.

Starscream gazes over the crowd, watching for reactions. It strikes him that many of those assembled are Shockwave's creatures. Some are Scourge's. None are his . . . yet. Not even Barricade. (On that note, if Hellbender thinks a plot to oust Shockwave wouldn't include offing Shox's number one fan first, he's got a screw loose.)
He nods back to Hellbender and notes Skyfire's smile without responding. He'll work on recruiting them both later, perhaps.

A Predacon flutters into the room, terrorizes, and sits in one of the chairs in the front row. That's where the bright students who want the teacher to notice them sit. He arrives just in time to hear Scourge's pronouncement.
Rook raises one eyeridge and scans the room, looking over his shoulder for people's reactions. Oh, if only they could hold an election! He knows how to rig those, thus making him invaluable in that situation.
One way or another, politics is going to happen. It should be fun! A corner of his mouth quirks up slightly in a smile.

Swindle has seen this scenario play out more times than he can count. Heck, he's quietly instigated this scenario a few times. If people take sides, they'll want weapons. Business is going to be good, and therefore, life is good.
