As noted before, we have both sides now heading for what is likely to be a big fight. We will be handling this into smaller combat-groupings, to get things moving faster. Before that happens, though, we have a number of options.
1) We can pile everyone into a single thread to start with, and break it apart from there, letting the spur of the moment RP dictate who you're squaring off against. This has the advantage of flowing more from RP and events and is less likely to feel forced. The disadvantage is that until we are broken up into smaller groups, a thread with this many people (we're talking nearly every active character in the game) will move horrendously slow.
2) We can start planning out now who we're likely to be pairing off against (working it out in advance in this thread) and move right into our mini-threads. This has the advantage of moving us right to the action much faster and getting us into a faster rotation cycle, but risks coming off as slightly more forced in feel.
3) We can do a hybrid. Those who know ahead of time who they're likely to want to take on can work things out here, and those who don't know can wait until their characters arrive on the scene.
Currently, Decepticons outnumber Autobots, and until the group at the Zoo arrives, it will be an even greater difference in numbers, so please notes that "pairings" will often work out to two against one situations. Finally, some people can go up against flowers and station defenses run by Scenemod than other players. Another side: the moment Wreckage's arrival turns the "Station-Bound Autobots" thread into combat, I'd like to close out that thread and start one that uses the "big combat" naming practice. That is, it will say "Power Station: X vs. Y" (in this case, perhaps, "Power Station: Wreckage vs. Everyone" until other Decepticons show up).
I'll leave it up to discussion right now as to which method you guys would prefer. What do you think is best? I laid out the pros and cons as we see it, but we want your feedback.
