Here's a thought: when writing fight scenes, if your fight takes place anywhere other than a flat, featureless plain, use elements of the terrain in writing your fight scene. It makes it more interesting.
E.g: If you're fighting clinging to a winding road half-way up the side of a high mesa, do something with that! It's a long way down if you fall off the road, and the other routes up are nasty slopes of scree and gravel....
Or, if you're in the grassy plains in the dry season, maybe someone's stray shot sets fire to the grass. Whee, wildfire!
Apply your imagination to the scenery, and have fun!
