Are the DZ-3 Decepticons using the same faction markings as the DZ Decepticons, and ditto for the Autobots, or will the faction markings differ? Say, use G2 Decepticon/Autobot markings?
Do we want (a) major confusion all the time (same faction markings), or (b) confusion only at first (these are good-guy Decepticons??) (different faction markings).
Also, do we need to start different accounts for the DZ-3 characters? This forum doesn't let you use multiple icons per account, so I can't just switch to an alternate character icon like I would for LJ to identify who is talking.
Basically, how are you doing to sort out the player confusion over which version of a character is talking?

I'd vote for different accounts.

It's simple enough to upload new icons, or rename your character to Starscream-3, or both. It's easier to handle things that way rather than create all-new icons, anyway.

Yeah, but changing names and icons doesn't stick, knowwhatI'msaying? You go back and reread those threads after the plot is over, you got yourself a whole mess of weirdness.

Personally, I'd go with using the same markings, just to amp up character confusion.
To avoid player a confusion, either different accounts or different but readable font colours could be used.

As a note, I ran a test previously. A post made by an account that's been deleted will stay (important if we want to clear up the excess accounts later on). However, the number of players listed under "Total Members:" doesn't go down when you clear out accounts.

Different color text is probably the simplest one, but potentially won't clear up player confusion.

This has been resolved before. Faction markings will be the same. Autbots = Autobots-3, Decepticons = Decepticons=3, etc. No, we are not reversing colors. For one thing, colors aren't absolute, anyway, and for another, we aren't Botcon.
Players can create separate accounts for their -3 character if they like. If they don't want to, it's suggested that they use a different color for their -3 character. Please make sure it's dark enough to properly contrast against the background.
Another issue: Radio. Radio frequencies do not cross over to the DZ-3 universes. The Autobot and the Autobot-3 frequencies are not the same, Emirate Xaaron's and Emirate Xaaron-3's frequencies are not the same, and so forth. It's one thing to do the 'same name or same character = same frequency' thing on a small scale and case by case basis, but having every group and personal frequency in the game compromised at the same time is more headache than we want to deal with.
