Emirate Xaaron sounds fairly concerned. If the reports are true, Rodimus Prime is a rather powerful Autobot, and as much as Emirate Xaaron hates to admit, they can use whatever they can get. If this Rodimus Prime does depose him, Emirate Xaaron will regroup and rebuild. He always does.
//I'm here. Are you quite all right?//

//Been better, sir, but been a lot worse. I'll be able to make it to you guys under my own power, as long as I have no more encounters like that last one.//
//Decepticon. Big black tanker. Looks like Optimus Prime. What's stranger, feels like Optimus Prime. I wasn't able to finish the battle; a flash flood got in the way. I didn't get his name, but he didn't get mine, either.//
//I'm in the desert now, racing a storm, but I'm going to need to know where to go once I've crossed it.//

There is a poignant pause.
//No such Decepticon has been reported on this planet. He must be new. You'll have to describe him more fully when you arrive.//
He provides the general coordinates of the city. He'll station a force to greet him, just to make sure he's on the level.
//Warn me when you're getting close. I'll have the medics get ready.//

Some time later, Rodimus fires up the radio again.
//Send out an advanced greeting party, Emirate?// The tone is curious, not accusatory.

Emirate Xaaron was planning on a greeting party, but he hasn't rallied it yet!
//That would be Mirage. It is a coincidence he is out there. Enjoying the weather, perhaps.//

//Just identified him. I take it he passed you the heads up?//
//Glad to know I'm getting closer. I feel like slag.//

Oh, so Rodimus Prime caught that it's just a wee bit odd for Emirate Xaaron to know where Mirage is?
He replies cheerily, //That's his job. I'm having First Aid get medical ready for you.//

//Emirate, I'm with Claw Jaw. He has a corpse with him. It's Perceptor. My initial timeline.//
Rodimus has two 'home' timelines, remember?

When it rains, it doesn't just pour. It pours lava.
//That could go over very poorly. Get Holi out of the area before he sees the corpse if you can.// Emirate Xaaron is pretty sure that Grimlock and Bluestreak won't be perturbed. //Holi does not have an adult personality, and he seems very fond of Perceptor. He recently suffered kidnapping and a bomb scare. Undue stress on him would be undesirable.//

//I... think it may be a bit late for that. I'll have Bluestreak take him aside and keep him calm. Maybe Firebolt, too.//
So is he going to have Firebolt help calm Holi, or have Firebolt get calmed by Bluestreak? Really, whichever one works. Just getting those three out of the immediate area would be the thing.

//Good news and bad news, sir.//
//The good news is, we have a Goldbug and I'm pretty sure he's our reality.//
//The bad news... well, did you ever get a report concerning that period where his brain module was in a Terran toy car?//

What is the sound of one hand facepalming?
//I may have been trying to forget that one.//
He sighs.
//Yes. I am aware.//

//His own memory banks should have his build-schematics, even if he himself can't make sense of the information - that was what the Steelhaven crew used to rebuild him from back in our own universe. The problem is resources. The Steelhaven had a fairly well-stocked Medical Lab, and even we didn't have on-hand what we needed to rebuild Optimus Prime. With our replicator, we should be able to make what we need for him, but the energy to run that thing is prohibitive. If we want to minimize how much we draw from outside the city, we'll have to scavenge as much as we can from the corpses, and convert only where absolutely necessary.// There's a note of disturbance in the young Prime's voice, as if even he can't believe he's suggesting this. //We... may not want to let Goldbug know where his parts are coming from until he's back to normal. His system's under enough stresses as it is.//
//In the meantime, I think those battery cells they've been gathering to feed Tiny can be converted to keep Goldbug running, but that's another thing - we'll have to keep Tiny away from him.//
Why yes, this transmission does consist mostly of exposition. Rodimus and Xaaron are both Marvel characters, after all. There's going to be more exposition when those two talk.

It occurs to Emirate Xaaron that he ought to check in on the young Prime. Rodimus Prime seemed decently together on the radio, but still water runs deep.
He inquires, //Are you quite all right, Prime?//
Emirate Xaaron chooses to reinforce Rodimus's role, rather than the mortal machine.
