There's some hesitation, as Rodimus debates keeping the mask on for Emirate Xaaron. But no. Some one needs to know the truth.
//Not really, no. Everyone looks to me to be their savior should Unicron return, and I'm not sure this Matrix can handle it. Perhaps it can, but there's too much on the line to gamble.//
//And... it's starting to quiet now, but I've been able to hear him laughing since the broadcast began.//
There's a pause. //We will find some way to deal with this universe's Unicron.// Here, he is not just playing dashing leader. This is an oath he makes to himself, counted more sacred to him than one made to their manipulative god.
Another pause. //I'll be better. I don't think I'm ever 'quite all right.' But I'm handling this.//

Rodimus Prime is, apparently, in addition to a Matrix Bearer a telepath, because the next thing Emirate Xaaron was going to ask was if Rodimus Prime thought he was up to destroying another Unicron.
What Emirate Xaaron hears is unabashedly bad.
Emirate Xaaron takes some time to compose himself, and he replies, //If you need me or just someone or someone else, please say so. Alternatively, if you'd rather forget this for a while, by all means.//
//We will need to get to Cybertron, however, if there still is one here or ever was one, and at our next staff meeting, I'm going to ask Wedge to have his division start thinking about physical methods of destroying a small planet.//
It has to be easer to kill Unicron if you blow him up first.

//I'm going to finish out this obstacle course. I think it's best if they see that I do that. If I need someone later, I'll say so.//
//I agree on both counts, although I can't help but think that physically destroying Unicron will be harder than destroying a normal small planet. If it were, you'd think someone else would have managed it by now.//
Not that Rodimus Prime has any personal experience in successfully destroying any normal small planets. That's his cartoon-universe counterpart.

Emirate Xaaron has experience with someone almost destroying Cybertron. In fact, Unicron has to have engines or star drives of some sort to move his great bulk, and if someone could sneak in to overload those...
//Very good of you.//

OOC: Concurrent with: this.
//Skyfire wishes to join us, a pleasant outcome, to be certain. However, I know from Kup that his people do not observe the Rite of the Autobrand. I realised that we are at a minority here, but...// ...but they had Jetfire fight and command as an Autobot while wearing a Decepticon symbol because they didn't have time to perform the Rite. It was that important to them. Not doing something to mark Skyfire's choice feels inherently wrong to Emirate Xaaron. And yes, Emirate Xaaron wears no symbol. Shut up. That's different.

//That is good news, but I see the problem.//
//I... don't think we can require it of him, Emirate, although it might be a good idea to at least present the option to him.//
//Considering we're likely to be here for awhile, between the Decepticons, trying to find out what brought us here, and Unicron, we may want to think about establishing traditions of our own. Perhaps we can present that to the others as one such tradition?//
One interesting thing about Rodimus's phrasing is that it seems to suggest that he has no intention of going home until Unicron is dealt with, despite this being not 'his' Unicron, and despite the fact that he already makes handling one Unicron pretty much a full-time job.

It's entirely possible that this reality has a Rodimus Prime of its own, who is elsewhere, to handle its Unicron.
It's entirely possible that it doesn't.
//I'm thinking about running it past the present division heads and seconds and seeing if there's a spin of their own they'd like to put on it or if they have ceremonies of their own that they'd like to incorporate.//
//Even if I don't, we do need to work out what rights an Autobot has. As far as our people go, an Autobot has the right to leave at any time, and we tend to react very badly when that right is revoked - see Grimlock's rule for a major example. The other realities may expect something different.//

//Grimlock's rule was a major example of a number of 'don'ts' when it comes to Autobots,// Rodimus Prime observes dryly. //Though really, even his deserters didn't feel they were deserting the Autobots. Just Grimlock.//
//That sounds like a good idea - and also something that needs to be run by the others. You and I represent only one specifi- well, okay, two branched, very very similar realities. Everyone needs a voice. With everyone as busy as they are, though, we may want to make use of the network or the radios for this.//

//Here's one thing how to understand me: I don't operate like other Autobots. You have Unicron inside you. I do not think explaining, 'Oh, this is how we can defeat Unicron,' where he can hear is a brilliant idea,// Emirate Xaaron snaps in reply to Rodimus Prime's I... see. //Do you see that?//
Then Emirate Xaaron changes track entirely, //You seem to have a good idea of how to interact with females. What is the protocol for expressing the desire to share the company of a female while enjoying Terran audiovisual media?//

//I didn't protest or argue, did I?// Rodimus Prime snaps back. Of course, that was mostly because he was saving the protesting and the arguing for later, but Rodimus doesn't have to mention that bit does he?
The boy Prime does start to protest after the next question. //What? I don-// and then he cuts himself off. Well, he probably does have a better idea on how to interact with females than most Transformers from his reality, even if, truthfully, he has no idea what exactly it is that qualifies them as 'female' in the first place. But still...
//Wait a minute. Are you asking me how to ask someone on a date?//

//Is that what they call it?//
The last time Emirate Xaaron saw any action, they called it courtship.
Of course, he's not looking to see any action, aside from maybe a car chase and some exploding cars on a screen, possibly a shoot-out or two. Gotta love communications gaps.

//Well, that depends on what you're doing in addition to the movie.//
//But whether you want to do extra or not, generally the easiest way is just to ask if they want to see a movie with you.//

How he feels about Pee-Dee? Does lugging around a Matrix make people go mushy or something? Emirate Xaaron doesn't feel much of anything about or for Pee-Dee. She is an alien machine of a gender that he doesn't understand, but she fights against the Decepticons, so that automatically qualifies her as vastly more useful to him than most female alien robots. As far as he can tell, her morals and ethics seem to be upstanding, as opposed to all those other alien robots that don't care or, worse, assist the Decepticons.
He does find her somewhat annoying, in that she seemed a bit patronising about his lack of cultural knowledge. yeah, because it's his fault that he's had to spend four million years underground on Cybertron and he doesn't get out much. Also, the desire to hug him is baffling.
Mild positivism, annoyance, and confusion. Emirate Xaaron probably has stronger feelings about his lamp.
//Look, I just don't want to embarrass myself. I froze when she hugged me. I cannot afford to freeze. I have to learn how to handle a female, and you seem well-versed in the area.//
