As a note to anyone who’s been following the Zoo Arrivals and Meetings thread and have been wondering about the dragon Long Haul seems to be acquiring, we want to make it very clear to everyone that anyone can do something like this. We've already had player contributions made to the world-building process (the service station, the weird alien city), and we're certainly open to more. As some of you know, things occasionally come up that cause us to politely ask, "We'd rather you not do that." If some one's worried about that, feel free to run your idea by us first, and the more potentially useful the NPC or other addition is, the more we’d prefer it if you did so, but really... the more ideas we get in from other sources, the richer the game environment becomes.
Also note, the dragonette is a NPC. This means it's not protected by any sort of consent rules. I'll probably usually pose for it, but it's not restricted to me. Feel free to kidnap it, shoot at it (and hit), murderize it, reprogram it, build it into next week's Ultimate Weapon of the Week... whatever sounds like fun! Scene mod can have it get robo-rabies or something! Come on, we all just know Long Haul doesn't have enough to deal with right now!
However, the presence of the mecha-dragons to begin with brings up some questions...
"What the heck is a mechanical dragon doing on this world anyway? Isn't this an organic world?"
That... is a good question. It's a very good question. You are encouraged to ask yourselves that question ICly! Certainly, the zoo that we're near and the fact that this planet's natives had star-faring technology are factors, but this doesn't change the fact that it's still a good question. In fact, Decepticons should feel free to have a run in with something similar (maybe or maybe not a dragon... How about a griffin? Griffins are cool! Or a large creepy mecha-swamp-beastie! Or a vermicious knid!) so that they have an excuse to start asking themselves that same question.
